By The Bridge Bed & Breakfast

The B&B was a good place to stop for a night on our way from Denmark to Germany. It has nice grounds; the double room has all the basics and it’s close to the freeway and the Bay bridge, but far from the center. Although there is no mention of it, only 3 rooms are as depicted, with a covered patio and a nice garden view. The other 3 are closer to the street (thus not that quiet anymore), a bit dump, the view is a huge pile of firewood just a few feet away and if it’s raining (as it was the case), no way to use the exposed little table and chairs. In our view, these rooms are overpriced and would not recommend them. Our room (the last one in the row) has been recently renovated, but quite bare, no decorations of any kind, just the drapes at the window and door; in the bathroom only one hand towel for two, the tiniest sink and no soap in the shower. The walls are paper thin; we could hear the neighbors’ conversation. The Wi-Fi is very good and the breakfast room with fridge and free coffee is a big plus. The breakfast is not included in price – we opted not to purchase it. The host was really nice, but not very accommodating. With sunny skies and in one of the rooms with the garden view we would have likely gotten a different vibe of the place.

Great place, magnificent garden, pleasant and funny greenhouse, two very sweet dogs eager to play frisbee with the guests and two hospitable, nice owners. Top!

We only stopped for a night, arrived late and left early. We also didn’t book until the day before but they were happy to accommodate us.
We didn’t have the breakfast since we wanted to get on the road, but the common area had a coffee machine as well as drinks and homemade honey for sale.
The rooms are simple but clean and everything is fresh. Bring your own shampoo and shower gel (this is the only thing I would’ve loved to see).
The bed is comfortable and especially the pillow and duvet was better than 99% of places I’ve stayed (this includes hotels with 3 & 4 stars)
The owners are super friendly (yet also not imposing), and they have two friendly and playful border collies.
The area doesn’t really have any restaurant as far as we could tell, but 5 minute drive (through a cute tree lined road) the was a very friendly pizza place called Strib Pizzeria and Grill. They are open until 9PM weekdays and 9.30PM on weekends. Also: Netto supermarket is a 4 min drive and open until 10PM.
10/10 would visit again.

We stayed 3 nights, for a mini-break and to attend a family party in Vejle. We highly recommend and appreciated the warm welcome! The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We look forward to returning next year, to stay a bit longer and enjoy being on Fyn!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the charming Bed n Breakfast By The Bridge and I cannot express enough how exceptional my experience was. From the moment we arrived, the owners went above and beyond to make our stay truly unforgettable.
I had arranged a surprise proposal for my girlfriend, and the owner graciously agreed to set up a special welcome for us. As we entered our room, we were greeted by a breathtaking sight—the entire orangery bathed in the soft glow of candlelight. The atmosphere was nothing short of magical, with a platter of fresh strawberries and a chilled bottle of champagne awaiting our celebration. The attention to detail was impeccable, and it set the perfect mood for our special moment.
Speaking of our room, it was a delightful blend of modern elegance and pristine cleanliness. Every aspect was carefully designed and maintained, ensuring a comfortable and luxurious stay. We were truly impressed by the thoughtfulness put into every detail.
One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast experience. Despite our late start, the owners graciously accommodated us and prepared a delicious meal just for the two of us. The breakfast consisted of freshly baked pastries, accompanied by homemade juice, jams and honey. What made it truly exceptional was the opportunity to explore the garden and witness firsthand where each jam originated, along with the mesmerizing sight of the bees. It was a truly immersive experience, filled with nature's wonders.

We were on our way to Sweden and kind of misjudged the length of our trip. So at around 22:00 in Denmark we had 2 options. Continue our trip, find a place to set camp in a country we didn't know and make camp in the middle of the night. Or get a B&B last minute in Denmark. We chose the second option and luckily this B&B had a room for the 3 of us, we were welcomed with hospitality by our hostess even though it was already very late.
We stayed only the night, but we had the chance to rest and continue our journey the next morning at a very decent price in a nice and clean room.
We liked the place a lot, so when we went back home we stayed another night at By the Bridge Bed & Breakfast. We enjoyed the company of the friendly and well behaved animals, the nice room and the surroundings (10 mins walk away from sea view).
