We stayed here for work for 5 days in a row. The room was equipped with a 1 person bed and a worn out one person sofa-bed (there wasn't enough space in the room to open it, though). The room doesn't provide much space beside the furniture, which gives a very cramped feeling. There was a concrete wall about 30 cm away from the window, which didn't help either. I did have a large modern television set, which I didn't use. The bathroom was just renewed and was clean at least. The shower head was so small that taking a shower couldn't be called comfortable. One morning I didn't have hot water. I did have to pay a deposit for the minibar when checking in, and there was a price list on my desk, but no mini-bar was installed. Wi-Fi and network (cabled) connectivity was very poor to say the least. I managed to connect to the net for 1, 5 days. After that it remained inoperable for the rest of the week. We complained about this, but it didn't get fixed. Even when the connection worked it wasn't stable enough to get a skype call through. Cleaning was irregular, to say the least. When you ask to change towels (by throwing them on the ground), they just put them up again; other times, when they weren't on the ground they were changed nevertheless. I didn't get new shampoo or soap most of the time. The biggest issue was the noise in the hotel. I had room 15, which was close to the reception and next to the cleaning lady's room. Though the guests should pay a 1000 CZK fee for making noise between 22:00 and 8:00 (hotel regulation), the cleaning lady did start vacuming the staircases at 6:00 am. There is no noise cancellation whatsoever, so every door that opens or closes and everyone that passes (talking) at the reception (or anywhere else in the hotel, apparently) could be heard loud and clear in my room. Also the receptionist made telephone calls during the night (also audible in my room). Though my room didn't have any view at all, I still got the noise from the streets. I barely slept because of the noise, though the bed and pillow were of good quality. I also had an issue with my door lock being broken; this did get fixed after a day, but not very professionally. They just put in longer screws. The split wood remained for the rest of my stay. Conclusion: bad hotel, especially because of the noise. Cramped feeling in the room, though some commodities weren't that bad (bed, television, clean bathroom). Personnel was friendly, but didn't actually solve any problems we reported.
