Antigoni Hotel

Ghost Town.
Looks like no one has stepped foot inside here for a long time.
The place is falling apart.
No sunbeds no parasols. No bar staff no bar. Hotel all locked up. Looks like a scene from the Walking Dead.
Furniture still inside but full of dust and dirt.
Such a shame. Apparently covid caused this mess.

Currently the Antigoni hotel is closed was quite shocked to see this today see photos. This used to be a great hotel I’m saddens it has closed. We went here in 2017 and loved this hotel but you could see it, it was declining needed an upgrade. This might be the case they may be upgrading this hotel who knows they were many Tsokkos hotels closed.

On arrival we were shocked to have to pay 2.40 euros for a bottle of water. This is Tsokkis hotels policy apparently. We were assigned a double room not the twin we had booked. Room 413
The mattress was rock hard, the air condition rattled the fridge also made a loud noise, We switched both off.
We were transferred to a twin room in the morning. Quiet fridge and air conditioning and softer twin beds.
Overall a comfortable room. Room 307. The air conditioning began to rattle after 5 days.
Hotel location is good in the centre of everything, beach about 500 meters away.
I have never stayed in a hotel with so many glum looking staff before. The only person to brighten our stay was the omolette chef at breakfast time.
The abilty to keep food warm at the buffet was poor at all times.
The outside bar smelled of stale beer. The canvas canopy over the outside seating area leaked like a sieve every time it rained. When viewed from above it looks very old same as a lot of equipment in the hotel.
The lift worked Ok.
The pool bar was unkempt and scruffy.
Hotel entertainment was poor, probably due to it being end of season.
Notes: There is a building site at one side of the hotel. The pool is not very deep. The white metal fencing around the outside area is very wobbly. Miserable surly waiters and management. There is a 24 euros a week charge for Wi-Fi or 10 euros per day, another Tsokkis policy we were told.

Visited the antigoni in October with my daughter. We had a fab time, let's start with the rooms, they are a little basic but spotless, we had clean towels every day and beds changed often. Restaurant — : food was quite good, plenty of choice, the mousaka was the best I have tasted. The food could have been a little warmer, there is a microwave if you wanted to warm your food up. The restaurant was very clean. The waiters and waitresses were attentive. Pool area was really loverly plenty of beds, the pool bar was open but the drinks were not as good as the main bar (soft drinks coke etc were flat) the main bar itself could do with a make over, plenty of seating. The girl that served in the main bar in the morning could do with taking happy pills, and the one in the pool bar should join her, thankfully the bar staff in the evenings were great. Good lager and cocktails, spirits were also fine. Entertainment not good, sorry to say this did let the hotel down BINGO is not everyone's cup of tea. I have stayed in this hotel more that 35 times, I did ask quite a few people would they come back, the majority said YES, so they must be doing something right. We have already booked for next May.

Food great on the all inclusive package. Hotel needs to be upgraded as it is showing it's age — but it's ideally located in the centre and has easy access to the strip for bars and it's a short walk to the beach. Staff all very friendly — the omelette maker at breakfast is a lovely guy and very chatty.

It was everything we hoped it was for celebrating a special birthday with a large group of family and friends.
The chef even made a huge chocolate cake at no extra charge.
The hotel was very adequate for a 3* hotel with a perfect location.
Rooms, particularly bathrooms could do with a bit of an update, but clean!
Staff very helpful, especially George, top man. Food was your typical all inclusive selection.
Would definately return to this hotel.
