The Ritz Hostel

Stayed in the deluxe appts for 3 weeks. Appt was nice, clean en comfortable. Service was nice and daily. Every 2 to 3 days, clean sheets and fresh towels or upon request. Location is central and one can walk to Punda or Otrabanda or ride wherever you need to go. Urban beach was a nice spot to hang out. Thx to Shalini and her crew (Nely, Keza, Zai, Russel and Coco the chefcook) we had fun. Keep it up and keep the beers cold.

This hotel is abt a 15 min walk from the town center. The first day I arrived, a few other people I saw at the airport were able to check in before me because my room wasnt ready. I emailed twice before the trip asking for early check in. Even though they aren't obligated, they didnt even respond. They offer a welcome drink and I love the deluxe room. The bathroom had a terrible smell even though they had just cleaned. I wish the food at the bar was consistent. When I arrived on Tuesday, October 21st, there was a chef there that took a while with the food but it was worth every bite. I kept thinking abt it, so I went back. Needless to say, he wasnt working that day and the food disappointed me so much that I spit it out. Whoever the first chef was needs to make a recipe book for how he cooks items on the menu. My friend also ordered the same thing he had the first day and expressed the same thing. Attaching images of food from the first day.

It's located in a very convenient location close to Punda and Otrabanda. Workers are friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Hotel is quiet and peaceful. Whether you are here for work or fun, it's provides the environment you require.
It has 2 pools, wherein 1 pool area has a bar and restaurant with choices of bar, table or poolside seating.
Also bare in mind the hotel has 2 sections. One newly built with modern amenities and the other is a renovated historical building (a former packaging factory).
Highly recommend. So choose which side suits you best.

Arrived on Wednesday for a short trip to Curaçao. The receptionist was wonderful and was able to provide me with my check in, keys and answered various questions I had about local places. The room is very modern, impeccably clean. Highly recommend this place. They have a pool area where they serve drinks and food as well. Would recommend bringing a European outlet adapter as the outlet are European (for US outlets)

Our stay at The Ritz Village was such a pleasant and memorable experience. The location is cozy and close to town, and although we didn’t feel like walking, renting a car made getting around super convenient. I really appreciated that the property is gated and private—it felt safe and peaceful the whole time.
We arrived at 10 a. M. After an early morning flight, but check-in wasn’t until 4 p. M. As a first-time visitor to Curaçao, I was hoping to wind down after traveling since we had been up since 5 a. M. That said, the front desk handled it so well—they stored our luggage safely, offered us a space to change out of our travel clothes, and even suggested activities we could do around the island while we waited. We took their advice and explored a bit, and by the time we returned at 3:30 p. M. Our room was already ready.
The staff truly made the stay special. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and informative whenever we had questions. A special mention to the lovely lady at the front desk who made check-in a breeze and greeted us warmly every time we passed by—I wish I’d seen her before we left to say goodbye! Even the security guards were welcoming and added to the safe, homey atmosphere.
We also opted for the breakfast package and loved the buffet setup, especially since everything was cooked fresh on the spot. The quaint setting made mornings and evenings so peaceful—it really felt like a home away from home.

We had a excellent time, ice cream and a drink for welcome, room was ready 40 min before check in. The penthouse apartment was super nice very comfortable good view. Parking is free.

Very nice affordable hotel, friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Nice small swimming pool with sandy "beach", sunbeds and bar.
My room had a double bed, a table and seats, a sofa, a bathroom with shower and toilet, a kitchenette with a kettle and a refrigerator. There is enough space to store your clothes and a pretty silent airco keeps your room fresh.
They could have done some maintenance to the room, I notified the reception with the things that should be taken care of at the end of my stay because they were not serious safety threats. Like some but loose shelfs in the bathroom.
Location in general is perfect especially during daytime. 10 — 15 minutes walk from Punda, Pietermaai and Otrabanda. Just didn't feel safe to walk back at night in the dark alone. You have to walk through some dark, deserted places to get to the hotel.
The hotel itself is safe guarded 24/7. After 11 pm, the gate is closed and your have to proof that you have a room in the hotel to be able to enter the hotel property.

Although my experience at the "Urban Beach" restaurant left a lot to be desired (more on that later), my stay at the Ritz Village hotel was otherwise very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My (ground level) hotel had a concrete floor, which was great since I was in Curacao to scuba dive.
The room was clean and shaded from direct sun, which helped keep it cool in the 85° F heat of the day. Outside each room there was a small table and chairs, as well as a small rack for hanging wet items to dry.
The courtyard in front of my room had a nice pool, and the afternoon I used it I was the only one there. Next to reception is a car rental place and a small mini mart (with delicious crab salad) on site.
My room had a TV with about 20 different channels, some US networks including some "local" Florida stations, as well as some stations in Dutch, and a few in Spanish.
My room also had a small microwave and a medium sized refrigerator, some dishes, pots and pans, and an electric kettle. Instant coffee was provided but no way to brew or make drip coffee.

My husband and I spent a week here for an anniversary trip. We had a penthouse close to to the pool area which would’ve been ideal if not for the pounding music from mid morning until 11 pm or so. It was hard to find a peaceful place to relax. Due to the see through overhead door that when out into the balcony area it wasn’t sound proof.
The chair and the couch were dirty and worn out and should be replaced. Since we spent most of time away to explore each day we didn’t really need to use the TV. Halfway through our stay we discovered there wasn’t a TV remote so we ask the staff multiple times for a replacement. The one lady at reception treated my husband like a child and told him he needs to just look for it because it’s there. We looked everywhere and only found dust under all the furniture. Good luck to the next guests in getting one from them!
Our king bed was thankfully very comfortable. The towels were nice but bring your own washcloths because they do not supply them which is typical in some countries.
The kitchenette was a plus but nothing fancy. Was super glad to have a washer but you need to hang your clothes around to dry. The bathroom and shower was nice but no hot water in the mornings since the supply was used up the night before.
Overall if you’re on a tight budget this is a good place to stay. We drove all over the island with our little rental car and enjoyed a lot of beautiful beaches.

Not gonna lie, I had greater expectations for the rooms in the hostel.
There was nothing wrong with the bedding or anything, it was clean enough. But there is a real problem with light. The dorm didnt have a window, and the lights in the room were so dim, felt like I have to take out my phone flashight sometimes if I want to find stuff in the cupboard.
Also, the rattling of the aircon is worth a mention, because I slept in the upper bunk close to it and it did affect my sleep quality.
As for the rest of the hostel, there is a big territory, and youre free to roam about, quite nice throughout the day, however in the evening, in some areas there is light missing too. I arrived in the evening, and it was night darkness just outside my room (and then also very dark in my room), wasnt impressed. Didnt see many people either, felt quite eerie.
However, on the bright side, the urban beach and bar is worth a visit! The bar staff there and the recepetion staff at the hostel were very nice and chatty, so 10/10 for the service!
As for the hostel itself, I guess you get what you pay for.
It is within walking distance to the city centre, which is great!

Everything was great here. The staff overall were helpful, happy people. Our room was kept clean and neat. Special thanks to Latoya for that. Such a super nice person!

Stayed here 6 nights on a solo trip.
Kind staff, excellent location. 20 min walk to downtown (bridge, cruise ships, etc).
Free parking, pool with a bar and restaurant. Drinks were great. Food was ok.
My basic room had a kitchen with good supplies, a fridge and a stove.
No hot water in shower. Saw a large cockroach in room.
Tv and air conditioning worked great.
Overall would not stay here if you want luxury or beauty. Cozy, friendly but could use some TLC.

Nice Hotel, great service, I had Latoya as housekeeper OMG she’s the Best! When she cleans your room and fix your bed u can feel & smell the cleanliness! I love it here and would recommend anyone!

The most “ok” hotel you will ever stay in. The cleaning standard is low. The staff are split 50/50, very rude or nice. The shop in the middle is very useful, the pool and bar area are amazing. All facilities are broken — no washing machines, no billiards equipment. The cleanliness is okay-ish.
The place remained somewhat empty in November. Good value for the price but entirely mid. 5/10

We had a pleasant stay. The location was great. It was in the center of everything. The room was good if you only stay to sleep. Our room was in the front were there is a pool at the back. There’s a small shop which was perfect if breakfast is not included. I recommend this hotel.

The location is very convenient, providing you with easy, walking distance to Willemstad. The hotel has it's own mini mart, pool (with a beach), restaurant car rental and travel agency on the compound. I must talk about how courteous and helpful the staff was. Check-in was easy and we were given guidance on how to get around; the general staff were friendly and always available to help if you had a question.
I liked that the room was comfortable and spacious, just missing some mats… not sure if that's a cultural thing.
I liked the overall "village" set up of the place… very cute and we felt safe.
