The arrival reception, the friendliness of the people who work there, its restaurants and varied food, the cleanliness of the rooms, the quality of its beds (always asking for the rest of the passenger), an excellent bar, diving, gym, steam baths, whirlpool … ALL… if you travel to Cuba and do not know iberostar selection, you have not gone to Cuba!

All tremendous service attention and hospitality, I loved the coffee excellent treatment of the mature clerk I liked the water park, the food the service in short everything.

Ibero star varadero selection is a magnificent hotel very good animation very good conga and its Florkoric group of the best the rooms the attentions the animation the buffets an exquisite meal in short for me would be a 6 star hotel.

Fab location entertainment team are awesome hotel is stunning and the staff are so warm and friendly. Only complaint was the bar had no real fruit or selection of brands to make nice cocktails. Limited drinks but had a fab holiday so clean safe and a wonderful team of people, Would definitely recommend the Japanese restaurant awesome experience!

A beautiful hotel with great service.

My experience was unique from the doorman to the massage therapist all the services were SPECTACULAR, I do not have a single complaint, I was in building 20 and everything was perfect, romantic dinner at the beach bank with a first service, next visit if not in this hotel because I do not return, pk for me is the number one hotel all boathouse and Matanzas, the girl of the shop sonia pilot has a unique professional ethics, and everyone in general do a job where you feel at home, the pool bar the animators Mr. JUAN CARLOS in order everyone from the first worker to the last tea makes you feel special. Thank you and of course I recommend it to the maximum.

It was my first trip to the Cuban resort in Varadero. Lots of my expectations were met except for the food and the reception at the beginning of my stay. If you plan to stay at this resort, you won't find the food to be exactly top level. The meat was mostly dry and the salads were so bitter. The desserts aren't bad but the jello and cheese cakes were bland. The fruits are very good, only if they offered many more kinds of fruit like pears, strawberries, and oranges. If you want to have dinner booked, do it early, and I would recommend to try out the Japanese one. The cocktails were mostly good, but the pops are not the same as the north-american brands. I could say this resort offers more food than the others. The pools are perfectly warm and the beach is only a couple minutes away from your hotel. Expect short power outages at any time of the day if you're going to watch a soccer game or for dancing. Overall, a very good resort. Go and try out everything as you can over there.

5 stars for the beach. Very nice soft white sand and no algae/seaweed and very few shells or driftwood. 3 stars for the price. It’s a bit pricey. 4 stars for the room. Clean and up to modern standards. Loses points for slow/inconsistent wi-if and the air conditioners can’t cool the room enough. 3 stars for the food. The eggs and chicken and fruit are fantastic. The Japanese restaurant is awful though. The free drinks are quite watered down and all bottom shelf booze. But the resort is very safe and all the staff are friendly.

Hotel is clean, staff are lovely and this was our second time and it did not disappoint. Even though we arrived during a tropical storm. It just ment we took umbrellas everywhere, The entertainment is now run by Cuba so the shows were lovely and Anna our Rep was lovely with her Mary Poppins bag, with batteries and anything else you might of forgotten, And do visit the chocolate cafe in downtown Veredaro for 5 CUC for return trip on the local bus. It’s lovely to mingle with the locals. Fantastic people and so safe.

This was our 8th visit to Varadero and 3rd stay at Iberostar Varadero planning a fourth in 2019.
The rooms are very comfortable and clean, the grounds are very neat and clean also. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. Even had a special repeat guest reception with the general manager.
The beach is great with a very few rocks and plenty of chairs and palapas.
The gourmet restaurant is excellent.

My husband and I were married there in 2011 and the resort was amazing. The food, service, beach and entertainment all amazing. We went back for our anniversary April 2018 and it was if nothing changed! Still amazing! Can't wait to go back again.

The room was clean, tidy and spacious. Most of the staff were polite. Upon arrival, I had to wait for the receptionist to finish her personal chat with someone else. We were standing there waiting to check in and it didn’t bother her at all. The food in the private restaurants was terrible. Especially the “Japanese”one. I got food poisoning after that. The meat served was not cooked properly. The mini restaurants serve exactly the same food as the main dining hall. I found the main dinning area way better because of the options provided. Another issue was that on two occasions staff tried to enter our room without knocking. The first time was at 9pm which I was asleep. So imagine hearing your door open when you are sleeping. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. I stayed in Iberostar in Havana before Varadero and it was excellent.

Food are better than most of places and rooms are clean. You can enjoy it if nothing goes wrong. If there is any little problem hotel staff panic, stress and rude. I left there with bitter taste. I have been in Cuba 3 times and each times I enjoyed less. Price wise Cuban hotels ask a lot when you think what do they offer. If there is problem people say '' this is Cuba" but prices like New York.

This was the first time in Cuba for my wife and myself. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the Iberostar Varadero. The room service was fantastic after a long day of activities we would come back to a super fresh restocked room! Yovanny at the Beach Bar and Adrian from the event staff were very accommodating. Very professional Hotel that takes their business of taking care of people serious. No one asked for tips they all went above and beyond and if you tipped them it was appreciated. Buffet was great everynight and Mediterranean restaurant was the best! The Beach was extremely well kept and the water was crystal clear. We took long beach walks on both sides of the resort and the portion that belonged to Iberostar seemed to be the best. The Beach and pool activities were a lot of fun. Also the Beach was safe as we left our phones, designer glasses, JBL speaker and walked for hours at a time. Would suggest getting guest services to get you a guided tour (old school car) of Havana which costs $140 CUC for 2 people and you can just ask the guide to let you loose in old Havana and meet up at the end to go back! They have internet cards that work in the rooms and on the beach for the most part and they costed $1/hr. Overall 4.7 rating near perfection. We will go back next year!
