Beatiful hotel and location. Just know there's no tv's but you shouldn't really need it Go outside it's a beautiful place. Good Wi-Fi.

Advice if you have to switch from to Monte Zumu excellent breakfast moltia availability, clean room, who likes the ecology and the ideal place beautiful garden well-cored Mango alderi. Only flaw who does not love animals like crabs frogs gecchi the iguana. It is absolutely avoid, reason if you leave the room open at night and very likely to enter, so to not have unwanted surprises, do not book in rooms on the ground floor, in advance ask upstairs room.

It is absolutely terrible. This room I was given doors are nothing but these stupid push and pull things whose knobs don't even turn and cannot be locked in anyway. I don't even think its connected to the house's AC system cause it feels like an oven in here even with two fans running on high. Why any single room in a house meant for living in is like this is beyond me. And I'm stuck here for a whole week. Would have been real nice to know ahead of time that this room is like this rather than just the vague and innocent fact that its a room with a bunk bed.

Beautifully located hotel just outside of the centre of Montezuma village. The gardens are the highlight of the property, open views to the ocean with plenty of hammocks and loungers to take in the view on. The breakfast, not included in our stay, is good with a range of fresh fruits and cooked dishes. The banana smoothie is well worth a try. The room we stayed in had air conditioning and a fan so was easy to sleep in, a bunk bed for the kids went down very well. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

Lovely spot in a lovely place. Only got breakfast there while staying across the street at Los mangos but looked like a nice place to stay as well. Food was good.

Fantastic hotel on a dramatic coastal property. Encanto, the hotel restaurant, serves up a bevy of regional specialties for both breakfast and lunch. One of our favorite places to take in a pura vida experience… and we live here.

One of the most amazing places where I have stayed House Luna, only a damp but in the sheets but I understand that is the price of seeing the sea from the balcony.

Pros: lovely location next to beach (not really on it) Lovely bathroom. I would of left the same day if it wasn't for the bathroom being completed to a good standard. But, it is much darker than the pictures because of the lighting. The hotel/hostel is based right next to the entrance of the Montezuma waterfalls. If new to finding it then go with a guide at the start of the rocky part of the trail. Guides may ask for around 2, 000 Colons per group they guide. Bed was comfortable. Wife loved it Cons: if you like the 'hippy vibe' then this is your place. But, this vibe does not suit all — with their mood/dark lighting, not everyday changing sheets and horrible Wi-Fi (just doesn't work). Actually heard one of the owners (Sandra) say that the Wi-Fi in her house is a 'million times' better than this hotel? WTFudge? Why don't they have it in here No coffee maker or kettle in the room Bedroom is adjacent the main road — hearing cars and motorbikes all the time Crabs and insects running all around our room (room 9). Too many gaps between the doors letting things in.

Great hotel. Lovely room. Great staff. Amazing location and walking distance to great restaurants. We'll be back! Oh, and the entrance to the amazing waterfall is right across the street. A fun hike up the river and you'll be cooled off in a refreshing pool at the base of a beautiful waterfall.

Beautiful views with a nice personal touch in room decor made this place the perfect place to take a break from our busy vacation. They served the best crepe I've ever had for breakfast!

Nice hotel, gorgeous views, clean, comfortable, and safe rooms (we stayed in the ocean view with 2 queens — worth the extra $25! ), fantastic private natural pool, hammocks galore, easy walking distance to the center of Montezuma, and friendly staff. This hotel also offers arranging shuttle services and booking recreational activities. The only major downfall is the price. It is expensive, breakfast is not included in the rate, although breakfast options were good and delicious. They also charge for coffee and water refills. No bar is on site so you'll have to buy your own drinks in town if you wish to have them on the property. Town was a 5-10 minute walk. We liked it better that way. Montezuma was incredibly hot with little wind in March so getting away from the center of town provided some relief. I recommend this hotel if you can splurge for 2 nights. You don't have to go very far to get a few relaxing days and experience Montezuma to the fullest. Although I also recommend renting ATV's to new sights (Cabo Blanco Reserve, Santa Teresa, Malpais, and multiple, more private, swimming-friendly beaches just south of Montezuma which are too far of a walking distance in the hot heat). Be sure to visit Chico's for your nightlife fun.

Only ate at restaurant. Price is okay, omelette is really, really greasy. They advertise coffee with free refill, however, they never come back to ask for a refill. Scenery is beautiful and staff is polite.

It is a paradise. The staff Is very attentive and the facilities incredible. I stayed at the Casa Luna with my family and it is a villa with all the amenities. If to this we add that is located in Montezuma the result is a wonderful holiday. Definitely exceptional.

Amor de Mar is a fabulous hotel on the Oceanside. The owners are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are beautiful. This is definitely THE hotel you want to stay at in Costa Rica.

If you reached Montezuma, Amor de Mar is were you want to stay. This little paradise offers several different rooms for several prices (having done 3 different rooms I highly recommend the number 5 with a balcony facing the sea), delicious breakfast/lunch, and an incredible view that you can enjoy from one of the several hammocks. We were supposed to stay 2 days and stayed 4 instead.

This was an absolutely perfect tranquil place to be. I initially planned to be here for one day but ended up staying here for my entire two weeks in Costa Rica! I cannot say enough great things about this place, I will definitely be back.
