The cabin I rented was awesome! I mostly sat on the front porch relaxing and watching the many birds. Really quiet place. The breakfast included with my cabin was of excellent quality. Stellar place to unwind. No Wi-Fi outside of the restaurant and lobby area. I was not there to be online.

Truly a beautiful place to take the family. Great staff and truly unique rooms ladder of glass.

We stayed here for 3 nights, what can I say, it was absolutely fantastic. We loved the area, right in the forest, with so much wildlife on your doorstep. The frog tours were particularly great, the guides were extremely knowledgable and sharp eyed. We would not have seen half as much without them. We saw 15 types of frogs, 2 venomous snakes (safely), spiders and much more. If you like wildlife, this is the place to visit. The staff work so hard, the food is fresh and always served with a smile. This place does not disappoint… We did a sloth tour and saw 12 wild sloths, again the guide was fantastic. Would come again, Family of 3

Magnificent! The photos do not do justice to the place, it has been renovated and the lodges are superb. We were on graded (off-season), in a family room, clean, comfortable, with a large corner tub. No critters thanks to the mosquito nets, animals roam around in total freedom, we were lucky on the first morning to see a howler monkey in the tree above the lodge. And at breakfast there are various birds and squirrels. Employees provide fruit to keep them away from kitchens, while enjoying their presence. Breakfast is not in the form of a buffet, as is often the case in Costa Rica, but as a menu, very good and hearty, fresh fruit and juice, gallo pinto, scrambled eggs, toast… Excursions are offered, we did the horseback ride to the waterfall of the fortuna, the ride is nothing exceptional because on the road but our companion was very nice and the waterfall as well as the river are to be seen. There are night trips around the lodges to see frogs among others, it is possible to go for a walk alone during the day, but you have to keep an eye out for snakes. The volcano is not visible from the inhabitants but walking for a few minutes. And finally the very nice staff and care. Attention, Wi-Fi only at the reception, in the lodges we do not even pick up the phone, total disconnection! In short, our stay there was perfect and I will return without a problem.

The thermal pool with seating giving the bar is spectacular. Attention is first-class. Request room with volcano view. Also highly recommended the excursion desk. Very good attention there too.

Small bungalows very comfortable in a large park full of birds. Very friendly welcome. Safes in the rooms. Wifi only at the reception or at the restaurant. Hearty breakfasts, choice, typical, American, energetic or continental, but always with fresh fruit. Excellent address, not very far from the center of Fortune on the road to the National park.

The Night Walk at Arenal Oasis is a fun activity to do while in La Fortuna. Price depends on whether you require transportation ($100 USD for 2 people with return transport). Our guide, Brendan, was friendly and knowledgeable and walked us through the reserve for about 2 hours looking for frogs and other animals/insects. In total we saw 13 species of frogs, 1 snake, 2 wandering spiders and a kinkajou. You are provided with a torch and bottled water.

Good typical breakfast. Clean rooms. Fun to feel like you're in the jungle while sleeping under a roof. No AC but I don't think it's necessary because it's cooler in la fortuna.

We did the night walk at Arenal oasis lodge. It was amazing! I would highly recommend going. We saw a lot of types of frogs as well as other species at night. Our guide was great and extremely knowledgeable. He also had good English.

Terrific! This hotel was booked by our travel agency and I didn't have very high expectations. However, the place pleasantly surprised us — our cabin was very spacious and I liked the fact that you live in a separate house. People who travel by car can park their cars in front of their cabin which is very convenient. The hotel offers two tours — night frog watching tour and bird watching tour. We took the frog tour to kill some time in the evening and liked it a lot. The hotel has a restaurant that offers decent breakfast and dinner. Staff puts fruits for birds around the restaurant and you can see so many different species of birds while eating breakfast, including parrots and hummingbirds. In fact, most people take cameras to breakfast to take pictures of these beautiful creatures. The only minor problem that I can think of is lack of light on the trails at night, people use their flashlights to go from the reception to their cabin. Knowing how many creatures live in the forest around you want to make sure that you are not stepping on one of them at night:) )

A little paradise on earth. Where it rains quite certainly, but the setting and the welcome of the team of the lodge will quickly forget it.

Lovely cabanas in a beautiful setting, you would not think you were so close to the middle of la Fortuna. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The grounds are wonderful with a lovely trail we took several times. The restaurant staff is so friendly and the food is very good. They put out fruit for the birds several times a day and get an incredible selection of birds of all colors and sizes, including toucans. They also offer a fantastic night tour the takes about 2 hours. We saw an incredible variety of animals including a eyelash pit viper, a vine snake, spiders, green frogs, various sleeping birds, insects and a turnip tail gecko. The daytime sloth tour was also a big hit as we saw many sloths, both 2 and 3 toed, as well as poison dart frogs. Highly recommended!

Room is great Restaurant smells amazing not had food yet but I am thinking it will be ace All in all a smashing place friendly helpful staff.

We had a wonderful stay. The setting is picturesque. The breakfast with the birds is my favorite. The night walk is a must do. The owners helped spot the Costarican poison dart frog which was highlight of my Costa Rican trip. Will definitely go back.

Incredible gardens, nature trails, cafe surrounded by bird feeders. A birders paradise. Staff are a delight.

This place is beautiful, a perfect retreat. It is surrounded by rainforest such that you hear the chirps of frogs and birds indoor and out. The accommodations are elegant and very comfortable. The staff is great. We did a night tour for a very reasonable price and learned that Arenal Oasis is a sanctuary to lots of wild animals, including more than 2 dozen kinds of frogs, some of which we saw. There are sloths, monkeys, snakes, and all kinds of beautiful birds. It is an eco lodge that helps protect the surrounding animals and trees. The in house restaurant has very tasty food as well, including great vegetarian choices. Highly recommended!

It was amazing here, the staff were great, the food fantastic, the rooms so awesome, the bed so comfortable — I can't say enough about this place, I loved it. It was an oasis, and with the Night Frog Walk — do take this — really — I thought at first ok, I'll try it — it was beyond my expectations — really interesting, fun, unique, the guide Isaac, was terrific, and funny — the walk is well worth coming to this place, and the place was gorgeous, comfortable, exactly what I wanted and know others want too.

We visited here to do the night walk which was fantastic! Isaac our guide was really friendly and took the time to explain everything we found and answer our questions, as well as helping us find tree frogs and other insects and animals. He even helped take some amazing up close photos of a red-eyed green tree frog! Would highly recommend the night walk, very enjoyable and easy going. Took about 2 hrs in total and they provided cold water and torches.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and the beds are good, the breakfast was delicious and the property is simply beautiful. We took the night tour, an amazing experience! I Really recommend it!
