The view is the amazing, the facilities and the excellent customer service, very grateful to all the staff, mainly with very rich reception and restaurant, recommended, look a lot in fortune and being in the area I realized that it was the best option thanks to God, lake view, volcano view the pool gives taste and in addition to having a pool with hot water for the night!

Best views in the area. Rooms very clean but bare minimum in furniture. I asked for a queen bed they gave me a double bed room. I had to push the two beds together.
Free breakfast is very bland. Make sure to ask for a sauce to flavor it up. My Tabacco for my hookah disappeared after they came and cleaned the room. Which all they really did was make up the bed. I asked them about the Tabacco and they said they seen it one day and the next it was gone. They don't know. All I know is neither me or my lady threw away a Big tub of Tabacco. Weird.
Another issue we had is the old guard troll man making me and the 5 people I were with feel uncomfortable when we were in the pool. He walking around unnecessarily. Cut the jacuzzi heat off at 10:28PM.
Pool closes at 11 PM. We didn't appreciate that. Scenery is amazing. Price is cheap. Everything else is bland.

Its name lives up to the beautiful view of the volcano and the Lagoon, we loved it, it is a place where you feel at peace and in contact with nature, excellent attention at the reception, clean and comfortable room, the attention in the impeccable restaurant and the delicious food. We loved our stay at Linda Vista! You could not ask for better service and the views are the best in the area from what we saw. The welcome drink upon arrival was amazing and food and drinks overall were great. The pool overlooking the lake with several lookout points just added to the amazing experience. We can’t wait to visit again!

Awesome! The hotel is outside La Fortuna, in the Castillo. It really was much more than we expected, exceeded all our expectations. The infrastructure is very good and the rooms are clean and space, The pool is spectacular has an epic view, which I will never forget. The stay was very quiet, it is a hotel surrounded by flora and fauna, the air is very clean, relaxation and full rest. A staff that does a beautiful job and loves what they do, they are very kind and treated us to the best.

The best anniversary of all, in a special and enchanting paradise. My husband and I were lucky enough to visit the best hotel in the area, a heavenly place in nature, with great views and an atmosphere of relaxation. The suites are well equipped with everything you need, the beds are very comfortable and the views from the room are good, the customer service throughout the hotel is very effective and professional, throughout our stay was a high level service. It is a fine hotel to visit, the price is very good and the quality is the best.

Fine hotel in the Castillo of La Fortuna, with a fantastic view of the nature reserve and the great Arenal volcano. The wonderful service that they offered us from the first day of lodging was great, the staff loves their work and they show it with excellence in all their tasks. The pool and the fresh air is one of the most charming things in this beautiful paradise.

This is a comfortable, clean and friendly hotel. I had one of my most amazing holidays ever and this is because Costa Ricans are just fantastic people. They were more than hospitable — they went out of their way to make you feel safe and welcome. Just a "must" holiday!

A destination not to be missed, the hotel is beautiful and all its surroundings. It is a place full of excellence and good service. The stay was very comfortable and the view unique.

It is much better than we imagined, the atmosphere is very good and in itself, the whole hotel is great and super comfortable. At reception we received great attention, the service is very fast, efficient and the manager is a great host and Pura Vida. The breakfast is normal, but very well prepared, the other meal times are a great culinary experience, with international and national products and the cleanliness in this hotel is the best in each of its areas.

A wonderful stay, in the company of my family in this paradisiacal hotel, surrounded by nature and incredible views, in the Arenal National Park is this great paradise. It is the best hotel in the area with comfortable and well equipped suites, all the staff was very friendly with us from the moment we arrived at the hotel, until the departure. They are very professional and helpful staff, they offer a service with added value and that is something that we value a lot, that's why I recommend it, visit this magnificent place.

It is the best hotel in the area by far, it has a great charm, it is a perfect dream place. From our entrance we were very happy with the hospitality and the great view of nature. The suite honey is fabulous, very comfortable and suitable for a great rest.

To start, the host was condescending to my girlfriend. The room stunk of musty filth, dead bugs on the bed, live bugs running around on the floor. The bathroom tub had mold on the door track. So taking a bath without flip flops was out of the question. The lamp had strings hanging down and was worn out. No hair dryer, but the hotel has one at the front desk lol. No screens on the windows, and when we asked about screens, the host looked at us like we were crazy, saying I think I’ve heard of these? Restaurant had terrible food and lizards running around eating the bugs on the walls. Lost power in the evening, super hot with no a/c or screens to open. Bed was hard like a pallet. We couldn’t leave in the night due to the power being out and the road conditions, but we left quickly in the the am. Loved Costa Rica, and would go back in an instant. They had great views though at hotel Linda, but that’s it.

For sure one of the best hotels in El Castillo. Great views and the infinity pool is quite something. There is a good restaurant with a fine menu. By the way master suites are the best.

Best view of the volcano and lake. Situated up on a hill set in its own private grounds. Has a spa and infinite pool that looks out over the lake. Very friendly staff. Nice comfortable accommodation. We would stay again.

The hotel rooms are so so but the views are beyond amazing from high above the valley to both the lake and Arenal. We weren’t lucky enough for a clear day, but definitely the best place in the area from what I can tell.

Visit for some amazing views of Lake Arenal and sorounding area. We only stopped here for a sunset cocktail. The views are incredible.

In a highly touristic area, a hotel in the extraordinary location overlooking the Lake and the volcano.
If the rooms all overlook the volcano, the service is not up to the task. Housekeeping limit, shower does not work, not to mention the decoration a little Kitch. The restaurant is OK without more. The staff is distant, we feel that this is a hotel for large agencies and tourist groups.

This place would. Be great if with the sterile decor the decided to make sure the scones had a glass shade on them and there wasn't ants crawling around the bathroom. The view is great though.

Amazing views with a staff more than friendly and willing to help. Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. A place to rest, relax and enjoy the scenery, overlooking the volcano and the lake. A little high the price of the restaurant, but there are local sites in the area.

Beautiful view. Some pleasant staff. Good breakfast to get you going in the morning. The room we stayed in was perfect, private, and away from other people. Surrounded only by nature. We could hear the street noise, and some motorcycle riders who loves to rev their engines, unfortunately. Overall enjoyed our stay. If you get a chance try the food at Soda La Mesa de Mamá restaurant a few minutes drive, the soups, and patacones were great.

What an incredible find. From online you never know what you will find upon arrival but this place exceeded all our expectations. Absolutely stunning. Very friendly staff. It doesn't get better than this. And in the heart of lake arenal and volcano and national park.

Good service, nice view and location. Everything very clean. Breakfast is also good. Prices for dinner too high in my view. Approach is difficult due to bad roads (4WD recommended). You here all the noise of the neighbor rooms sometimes. All in all nice hotel in good location too all activities around.

I could have slept in a tent and been happy. The property is gorgeous, secluded, and has everything you need. I can't wait to go back.

Amazing! the people are so niceeeee. They made this jelly for breakfast my husband loved it so much I asked them to make it for me. The server told us that they only make it every morning but he will ask the chef. The next day he had a big mason jar ready for us to take back to our room. The restaurant is nice, food is great and customer service is wonderful. Everyone is formal, genuine and nice. They know how to treat their guests. I can't write everything but we went there for our first 3 nights in costa rica and we loved it. The roads need to be bigger and more lights other than that perfecto… from san jose to la fortuna please don't do it at night. It's very curvy and foggy and if you are renting a car get a big car, jeep, truck something big, stay away from sedan and have your best driver with a good pair of eyes take control of the road… costarican people are very nice. We had the best honeymoon there :) planning on taking a family trip soon.

A wonderful place with amazing surroundings. This is a place to escape from the frantic pace of life. Don't expect the Ritz, but expect to be treated as you would be there.

Fantastic location the views of the volcano and lake are out of this world. The room was new clean and very comfortable. The staff were great. Food was lovely as were the cocktails. Think you ideally need a 4x4 to reach it as the track leading to it is not great to say the least. But highly recommend this hotel.

Well I will start with a good part the stuff is super nice and the drinks are great.
Lets get to a bad one. The room walls looke like a crime scene dead mosquitoes everywhere. Dinner menu is not very big but the food is okay.
The pool is very small and not very clean.
If you come here bring an OFF spary. There is a huge holes under the door all bugs and fly just come right in like it is there house. Horrible.
Will never come back.

Excellent place, but the customer service leave much to be desired, and the mattresses are very deteriorated.

Don't get me wrong, this hotel was in a GREAT location, it's clean, but a few things are lacking, firstly, the pool bar is defunct, not once during my stay did I see anyone there working. Another huge issue, there wasn't a gym. While this may not be a problem for some, for me, this was a very large issue. It's a nice hotel, there are just some things that are missing. Also, on top of that, there's only Wi-Fi in the lobby.

We stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Linda Vista and it was such a peaceful and beautiful place. We were greeted by a friendly staff that also served us a refreshing glass of a delicious fruit juice! The room was spacious and very accomodating. The food at the Restaurant was very good and the service was top notch. We also had breakfast included with our stay and it was a breakfast bar that included either a Tico style breakfast or an American style breakfast plus a variety of fruits, cereals, and breads. If we ever have the opportunity to get back to La Fortuna de San Carlos We will stay at Hotel Linda Vista once more.

The hotel is nicely located, outside of REALLY touristic area of LA Fortuna. Staff is nice, pool is amazing and the view is the best on Arenal Volcano. Not the best restaurant though but ok.

Just outside of the busy town center. Beautiful, serene property. Wonderful staff. Lovely bungalows. Spacious, comfortable, clean, tv, frig, coffee, large shower, double sink, AC. Terrific bartender (Gilber — was awesome, fun, helpful). Check in was informative and very welcoming! Just a fabulous experience. We were so delighted.

Great Hotel we loved the view to the MR Arenal Volcano and lake, the food was the best part.

Visited in October 2013, Very nice place. Accomodations were good, clean and all had a view of the volcano on the next ridge over. It feels like the staff is very attune to the guests. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Both were very good and the price was reasonable. Recommendations from the staff on things to see in the area turned out fantastic and our stay was wonderful. If you want to be in the"city" this is not a place for you. If you want relaxation, beautiful sights and outdoor activities you cant go wrong here.

This place without a doubt has a beautiful view of the volcano. The rooms are set up facing it and the beds as well. You go to sleep and wake up looking right at it. Aside from the view the hotel doesn't have much to offer. The included breakfast needs a complete makeover.
