Kuras Kabanas

The staff were exceptionally lovely and helpful throughout my visit, which truly made a difference.
The location was fantastic, offering truly fabulous views that I thoroughly enjoyed. While the rooms were basic, they were clean and provided everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It was the perfect environment to unwind and enjoy.

Excellent place. But could do with a deep clean inside. Ceiling inside the cottages needs cleaning. Bathroom needs a good clean. Otherwise, it's a great place to stay.

Standalone self-contained bungalows. Fantastic and private and more natural setting than the commercialised resorts. Super quick access to the beautiful lagoon. Kayaks and other gear available as part of the stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good pricing.

So peaceful and awesome location staying in a Kabana with the beach just metres away. Had everything we needed and for the very reasonable nightly rate for Muri location you can't go wrong! staff were very attentive yet respected our privacy they're awesome to deal with. Fantastic private jetty on the water with a covered well equipped bbq deck with deck chairs and tables/chairs to sit back and take in the view. Walking distance to shops and eateries. We felt very lucky to have found this sanctuary to stay at.

A great location especially for families as we found. The views are so peaceful and relaxing so really awesome. Easy access to Muri beach and the lagoon and the free kayaks were a great bonus.
Rooms neat and tidy and very spacious and modern.
Handy kitchenette with a good size fridge.
Only let down was found the floor to be tacky and sandy on arrival most probably from cleaning products but this is still minor in the overall experience.

Great location close to Muri markets and beach. Really quiet considering being close to the road. But the best thing about this place are the people there. So helpful with anything we could have asked for. Nothing seemed to be a problem. The room was super clean and had everything we could want. Close to a shop as well. Thanks so much for looking after us!

Awesome location, lovely staff. Room would have been 5 star if it had air conditioning. Over all we had a wonderful stay.

The most amazing location to stay with our family, very clean and tidy, staff were lovely and amazing — we even all got a wee weaved Easter basket in our rooms for Easter. If we come back to Rarotonga we will definitely be staying here again.

Everything about Kura's Kabanas is right. The Kabanas, the location, the view, the accessibility but especially the staff. They are so friendly and helpful.
Hope to be able to come back again some day.

I have no complaints about Kuras Kabanas itself, but I've had significant issues with the neighbors who constantly do groundwork every day starting around 6:30 am, which regularly wakes up me and my family. I even went over to ask if they could start a little later, but the neighbor simply told me they would do as they please. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend staying here if you're traveling with family, little ones, or simply looking for a good night's sleep.

Had SUCH an amazing stay here. I can’t believe a place so gorgeous exists. And it’s so quiet and serene. I loved having the views of the beach right outside our window. It was the perfect place for our honeymoon and I would highly recommend a stay here.

Wonderful staff. Good location, walking distance to everything but at private end of lagoon. Bus at door. Very clean and well equipped. Lovely gardens with many hibiscus and frangipani. Unpretentious and comfortable. Free kayaks a draw card. Would stay again. Excellent value for money.

Communication from Kuras Kabana's has been very good, easy to deal with. Unit 2 well equipped with everything you need. Kayaks, reef shoes, outdoor bbq, plenty of outdoor seating, right on the Lagoon. Small criticism is only one chanel on TV and the vent on the roof needs bearing greasing as can be annoying on the night if you are a light sleeper as squeaks in the wind.
Good location, handy for everything that Muri has to offer.

Kura’s Kabanas are situated in an excellent location in Rarotonga. A Waterfront lagoon property, short level walk to Muri Night Market, Te Vara Nui Show, small but adequate supermarkets, vehicle and scooter hire, dive shop, bakery and more.
There are 4 cabins, staggered and surrounded by vegetation, plus 2 family apartments (on the first floor above the office, so there are steps to negotiate). It was lovely and quiet, the small number of rooms/cabins offered are in stark contrast to the many noisy busy resorts. Sitting on the BBQ deck any time of the day or evening it was peaceful and restful. You can easily walk to Muri Beach at low tide or use one of the property’s kayaks. There also also plenty of snorkels, masks and reef shoes if you forget your own.
We stayed in cabin 1 closest to the water. We had a twin bed configuration and the beds and pillows were very comfortable, not too soft, not rock hard. The kitchen had a stove, full size fridge, toaster, kettle, cutlery, crockery, pans etc. We did have to buy a sharp knife to cut fruits and tomatoes. The bathroom was a good size, clean, with a great pressure shower. Bath towels and beach towels were replenished daily if required. The lounge was quite uncomfortable and a rather strange shape but it worked as extra storage!
The best thing was the location, and the view from inside and also out on the generous sized deck. We spent hours there each day.

Walkable to the Muri Night Markets this accommodation is perfectly located. The host was super responsive to our needs & had some great local knowledge to share. The lagoon was rich with sea life to enjoy in kayaks provided. We saw turtles, sting rays & very colorful coral fish whilst kayaking. All units (Kabanas) have open decks with outdoor seating facing the lagoon. Visible from the property has islands (motus) walkable through the lagoon channel at low tide & a glimpse of the ocean waves. The price is most affordable.
