We recently stayed at Kura's Kabanas and it exceeded our expectations. It was exactly the low-key, no-frills accommodation we were looking for.
The location is fantastic, right on the lagoon with direct water access. The kabanas are tucked away at the quieter end of the lagoon, past the sailing club, which made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. We loved having complimentary kayaks available to explore the lagoon. We loved the abundance of wildlife!
The staff were friendly and helpful with any requests, and our room was clean and comfortable. The shower was excellent, with great water pressure.
If you're looking for a luxury resort with lots of facilities, this probably isn't the place for you. However, if you want a more traditional island experience with a relaxed atmosphere and very few guests, Kura's Kabanas is perfect. There are only a handful of kabanas, so it never feels crowded.
There isn't an on-site restaurant, so it's worth planning ahead if you'd like to prepare your own meals or head out for dinner. Fortunately, there are plenty of fantastic dining options around the island.
