Hotel Boutique Maree

We spent here only 1 night before going to Tayrona National Park.
Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is very good, a la carte but included in the room price.
We were able to leave our suitcases in the hotel while spending the night in Tayrona National Park.
Front desk employees are super nice and they speak English.

The hotel is excellent value with huge rooms which are very comfortable and well equipped. The staff were a little dismissive on reception as just wanted to watch their mobile phones. The breakfasts were superb. The roof pool needed a good clean and the hot tub looked quite grubby with a dirty scum on top.

It doesn't look like as in the pictures, it s much older ans show it s age. The roof top and the breakfast room are definitively in the need of an urgent refresh. But the WORSE is the presence of a huge colony of Pigeon Birds in the hotel. They are living in front of the rooms, in what used probably to be a vegetal wall. Nowadays it is a pigeon n'est, a huge one with all the inconvénients it brings along: Noise, and probably the most unpleasant, their personal waste. Unless you like these awful dirty street birds, it is an awful view. At the meantime, you can share this view ( Waste included ) at the breakfast room, while having your breakfast. This is unbearable and overall it gives a terrible feeling...that this place is poorly maintained and dirty.

The hotel looks fairly new and it’s located in the centre. There is a lovely restaurant on the right hand side worth visiting. I thing it was called Faustino. |the room was huge and the bed even bigger, great bathroom with large walk in shower. There is a small pool on the top and bar. The staff are pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was a la carte but good.

Place very close to the parque de Los novios. Services are amazing. Breakfast is delicious. The room is very clean 👌 and comfortable, recommended 100%
Price affordable.

Excellent hotel. The pool are is great, clean pool and jacuzzi, and clean bathroom. The room was also great, no issues at all, great bedding, warm shower, Netflix accessible tv.

Massive rooms, very well done. Fab location, quiet but walking to everything. The pool area was surprisingly lovely, although the bar closed very early so never got a good evening there.
We were in room 101 and it was a bit too close to the reception (loud) but otherwise, a perfect stay.

We absolutely loved this hotel and the staff!
Our room was big, comfortable beds, great A/C, the hotel in general was very clean.
Great security. There was always someone at the front desk, as the door was always locked.
They also have an elevator which always helps.
The root top pool was small but perfect. We enjoyed many margaritas at the bar in the shade. Thank you Carolina!
The hotel is in a perfect location. Close to the Marina, shops, restaurants and bars.
We will definitely be back!
Thank you so much for all of your help Eddie, and all the wonderful friendly staff!

The staff were great, the room was spacious and we had great sleeps :) This hotel also has a great rooftop pool area and it’s close to the beach and other restaurants.

The Alko Hotel Cotona in the historical center of Santa Marta is very nice option for staying close to the action (bars, shops and restaurants). Only one block from the Parque de los Novios. The decor, rooms, shower and the upstairs pool is very welcoming after a long day of activities. The breakfast has 5 options to choose from. Each is actually a good size portion to start the day strong. Highly recommend for spot clean rooms and the comfortable bed.

Nice and clean hotel, nice rooftop pool and friendly and helpful staff. Very nice breakfast. Very good location, close to the best places in Santa Marta. Was a great stay.

This is a fantastic hotel that is close to Centro. Our room was great: comfy bed, cold a/c, hot water, and quiet (junior suit located towards back of building). The staff were nice, but the rooftop bar is only open from 5-7, so kind of a bummer if you want to chill in the pool with a drink. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee was some of the best we have had. I would definitely pick this location again for the room amenities. Cheers!
