Near train station, away from the insane crowd from the shopping district.

Friendly staff and nice rooms. Great breakfast and close to the city center. Staff can also speak English are are very accommodatingWe were given 2 free welcome drinks at the bar. For $65 a night it’s well worth it!

Fantastic hospitality, classy suites and ok in-room dining food.

This hotel is in an excellent location just a few minutes walk from the Luomashi subway station, with lots of shops and eating options nearby. Our room was spacious with a good bathroom, our bed was super comfortable, the Wi-Fi was good and there were several very helpful English speaking staff. The only negative was that we couldn't control the air conditioning — it just seemed to pump out hot air. When we mentioned this to reception staff, they organised to have an evaporative air cooler sent to our room which partly alleviated the problem. It was my birthday and Christmas day when we arrived and we were given complimentary breakfast vouchers and there was a birthday cake and card waiting in our room when we came back from dinner. The breakfast was amazing — we were very impressed with the quality and the presentation of the food and the breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel room is not 5 star by Western standards, but the service is excellent and the room rate is very reasonable.

Good and chap hotel also for foreigners!

This is a nice place to stay in Chengdu, excellent service, good food and cleaning, stand right next to the subway station very convenient. This absolutely will be my staying place again un Chengdu.

Nice rooms. Excellent service. Some road work going on outside hotel right now (late Oct 2017) but no disturbance in hotel. Ok food in the neighborhood, lots of shopping.

Big but quite boring selection of shops.

We love our stay at Dorsett Grand Chengdu! All staff is really into make your stay really pleasant since the time the limousine pick us at the airport and the checking, room service everybody goes the extra mile to help us. But need to specially mention Cloudy Tao he is just the best concierge ever since we book the hotel always taking care of us and that means, allot for me and my daughter been in a country we don't speak the language! Thank you so much for all your help! Hotel is gorgeous great service all the way our room breakfast thank you!

I had a great experience when I was in this hotel. The staff was so good-looking and really know how to behave well with your guest. I wasn't pleasured with the waitress of the bar in the lobby (1st floor). When I arrived hotel, the receptionist was so busy and I had to wait for minutes to check-in, one of the staffs took me to the bar and asked me to stay there for waiting. After having a seat for 3 minutes, a waitress came and offered me for a drink. I told her that I was waiting for check-in and only need a glass of water. I think that because water is free, I didn't need to pay money and she couldn't get money from me, so she was so unpleasant, she gave me a glass of water and glanced at me, Maybe she thought that I had no money for a expensive drink so I must choose water. I really feel so disappoint because of her attitude. I was nearly angry but tried to keep calm and didn't care about her any more. But anyway, a five star hotel no need this kind of waitress. So bad. I stayed here for 2-days, the position is not bad. Can walking on food to Kuanzhai xiangzi. The breakfast was poor of choices but everything there was delicious. Loved it. I think that the bed was so soft which made me feel a little bit tired and difficult to fall asleep. There is place to drink tea and reading book in my room with the view of a model city. Anyway, except staff's attitude, I really love this hotel. I had a good experience here and will come back if I travel to Chengdu next time.
