Hot hot hot! Visited The Bund in the middle of June 2018! Very many people, I advise go early around 9am-10am ish! Starts getting packed by noon. We got some beautiful photos of the Bund. I definitely recommend paying for their insta print and frame photos if you’re traveling by yourself or with only a few people and is looking to have a group photo taken! Such a nice souvenir. Also check out their shopping street! Definitely worth walking around and shopping!

The atmosphere of this place is just off the scale. It is worth visiting at least once in a lifetime. Do not forget that at 22:00 on weekdays turn off the lighting and beauty of the embankment you can enjoy and after, but in my opinion the optimal time for walking from 19:00 to 21:00, as you can catch the subway before its closure.

Must visit a place where not only foreigners come, but also tourists from all over China. There are a lot of people and taking a photo in the background of the embankment may not be so easy.

Very nice vantage point to see the new skyscrapers of Shanghai. There are a lot of people and tourists here as it is an obligatory spot for visitors to swing through at least once. The view isn't as large or wide as I had expected, but was still worth coming for to see the now-iconic view of the most "Western" city in mainland China and a symbol of rising Chinese economic might.

The promenade for walking, crowded with people. There's an underground parking lot. To cross to the other side, take a ferry to the Skyscraper block. The ticket price is 10 yuan. By the way in good weather a beautiful view of the body tower and skyscrapers.

Shanghai is a city that is not very exotic. Very cosmopolitan. I advice to do at the end of the trip if you have the bad of the country.

The Bund is a elevated walking area along the water. It sits on the old part of Shanghai with views of the water and the newer part of Shanghai. This is a great place to take pictures if its not too busy. There are also people selling photos and willing to take you picture for a fee. Next to the Bund are many hotels, restaurants, and bars that overlook the Bund. Great to go to these at night. But you will pay for the view. Overall the Bund is nice, but nothing spectacular. At night the buildings are different colors which makes Shanghai unique. Going to the Bund is free. Continue walking south and you will see Yuyuan garden and shopping area.

Stunning views of the jewels of "Lujiazui" being renovated and regularly maintained, "the place to be" for those who want to bring back beautiful photos of the "Pearl" or make a selfie. Very interesting for jogging without risking a collision with a bike, Scooter or other. Depending on the time periods the place can be extensively frequented.
the contrast is striking between the large modern and flamboyant skyscrapers and on the other the colonial architectures in its juice. To see for those who pose the foot in Shanghai.

My favorite spot in Shanghai giving a spectacular view of the river, skyline, colors, people and life of this mega city. Worth a visit no matter it is day or night but it is a must when you are in Shanghai! Besides the view you got everything nearby, the shopping malls, nice restaurants, bars, cafes and clubs just at a walking distance from it.

If you are in Shanghai then you really need to see the famous view across the river and this is the place to come for that. Make sure you stay until dark when all the buildings light up, we were there a little earlier and were unsure if it would be worth waiting, but at the end of a long day (the day we landed from the UK) we sat on the steps overlooking the river, watched the world go by, and waited for dusk and the lights. We were glad we did, it was a nice way to end the day. Very very busy though… don't expect it to be quiet, a lot of tourists, and when you come to leave watch for the one-way zebra crossings and police shouting at you if you attempt to go the wrong way. (The police in Shanghai actually seemed very friendly and their presence everywhere made me feel more safer than in English cities).

The Bund, Shanghai gives you the view of Shanghai's skyscrapers. The popular Shanghai tower and the CCTV Pearl tower is cleat to view here. Its a popular site for taking that iconic photograph showing your China visit. The platform giving the view of the Bund is popular with international visitors and groups. You can always travel to Shanghai from anywhere in China using the high speed train.

Very Nice, behind big colonial palaces and facing an infinity of beautiful and super colorful skyscrapers, the famous Oriental Pearl Tower is lost in the midst of the most recent super skyscrapers such as the Shanghai Tower or the Shanghai World Financial Center. Very nice Walk, a must.

Spectacular at night when it is really dark and the buildings are lit up in really interesting ways. I was told an American firm designs and co-ordinates it. We did a cruise on the Visa boat and went to the top deck but it is more fun joining the throngs walking along taking selfies. It is really safe and we had no problems as there are police everywhere, not that I think anyone would risk doing anything like bag snatching in China. There are lots of professional photo booths and food places nearby. During the day it is just another city with big buildings. You don't need a guide but do your research before you go as Google is not allowed anywhere in China nor is Gmail or What's App.

A must when visiting Shanghai. Outstanding view of the financial district. More impressive in the evening than on the day.
Just don't let them talk about the people who harass almost every European.
Tip: If you go there in the evening, make a trip to the Bar Rouge.

A must-visit place in Shanghai, the night view is simply breathtaking. The Bund is like a threshold of Old Shanghai (historical old buildings) and New Shanghai (modern skyscrapers), mesmerizes the visitors as if travelling at time tunnel.

One of the most romantic spots in China is this long walk along the Huangpu River. Must visit at night even if you have to brave the crowds. Also, the bull here was commissioned by the same artist as the one on Wall Street.

The bund is always a pleasant visit and after coming back after 8 years, there was quite some change! All for the better as the area has been made really nice to just stroll around. When having some freetime, always good to have a walk there and enjoy the views of this place as its just great. Also easily accessible by subway, giving an extra nice walk to it, passing by a busy area with many stores & shops. In the evening the views and scenery is best in my opinion. There is quite some nice LED lighting on the high structures and boats as well.

The Shanghai promenade, along with Nanjing Road, is pretty close to the latter. The skyline is spectacular both day and night. To see.

Extraordinary view from The Bund.

The most beautiful part of Shanghai. Remember very much Hong Kong in some respects. Strolling on the Bund has the SU beams especially when you light the lights of the thousands of skyscrapers. The two sides of the city are connected by a sympathetic strobe underground train to take.

It is very fascinating by the fact that on one side you can see several skyscrapers and on the other you can see buildings typical of Europe.

This is one of the best places to visit in Shanghai. It's close to the water and there are walls along the Bund that double as planters for beautiful, live plants. I went here several times while I was I Shanghai and really enjoyed myself. The one hang-up I have is that it could definitely be cleaner. However, that shouldn't stop anyone from going for the experience.

Beautiful place to walk and see the city of Shanghai at night. You have places to eat or have a coffee, plus you can take a souvenir photo. Safe place to walk.

The place to see and be seen in Shanghai — lots of photo opportunities, selfies, etc. You can't see the flashy financial distract across the river. Try to not look IN the river. You know how's you can't drink from the faucet? The water in the river looks way worse. Sigh. Anyway, fascinating area — Lots to see and photograph. Handicapped accessible, but takes a bit of doing to find ramps — otherwise lots of steps. Wish now I'd been more prepared to know what I was looking at, but going to be in area several more times before leaving Shanghai. Must do in Shanghai.

Very nice place offering a wonderful panorama on the financial district of Shanghai! The buildings are sublime during the sunset, do not be surprised if the tourists are very numerous towards the end of the day. The Bund crossing costs 1 yuan, not much to say.

One of the most spectacular places in one of the most fascinating cities in the world!
You can hardly plan a skyline any more beautiful. It's hard to grasp what it looked like here just 30 years ago.
Very nice I find this place in the early morning, the sunrise here is absolutely impressive, you can watch older gentlemen let the dragon and older ladies at their rhythmic gym dance exercises.
Of course, a visit in the evening, when the skyline glows in all colors is an absolute obligatory program!

Waitan stands in 52 different styles of classical Renaissance building, to Shanghai when the Waitan is already evening, the weather is very good without haze, especially can reflect the bustling nightlife of Shanghai. The most beautiful impression is the lighting of the Oriental Pearl on Lujiazui and the light on the colorful dream of the Yellow Po River, an important landmark in Shanghai. Standing on the Waitan, sunset West down the sky iridescent and the neon lights on the ground is really beautiful no way to describe, opposite the lujiazui lights lit up a little bit, feel very wonderful. At this time, Waitan and Lujiazui between the Huangpu Jiangtian known as the Waitan of the world's Architectural Expo Group, is China's modern important historical history and representative buildings, the river come and go ferries, from time to time spread the air chirping, very memory point.

The right side of the river: From here you can see how the night Skyline deserves; Attention because (although it seems incredible) the show ends at 23:00 HS; Yes, at that time the lighting of the main skyscrapers goes out; There is a huge wooden promenade with thousands of walkers (June 2017) perfect for enjoying that skyline; You'll get tired of taking pictures…

Good place for huge LED display. It’s the representation of modern and old China. You need to spend your night time strolling the pavilion over looking over the river.

A nice place to take a walk, enjoy Shanghai's colonial & modern skylines, and have your personal space smashed in the crowds of tourists.

Clear views of both Shanghai's colonial and contemporary skyline. It would've been a lovely place to go for a walk or enjoy a drink, but it was packed with tourists.

"waterfront spot of shanghai" The Bund is a water front & one of the main tourist spot on the banks of the river Huangpu. You can see the skyscraper’s of the Pudong district on the opposite side of the Bund. I could see the huge digital display attached to the towering buildings showing different kinds of advertisements very clearly even while standing on the other side of the Bund. I found myself as a needle in a haystack with all kinds of people from different countries standing and walking around taking pictures & selfies of the magnificent view. After walking around for few minutes I finally found a place to take pictures. The bund is a place of high historical significance; however I am not willing to make you listen to all the history of the place.

Very nice view to the modern part of the town. During the day there are a lot of people walking there. There are 2 ways to get to the opposite side: using the metro (cheapest) or using the 3D tunnel line (expensive). Recommended!

The bund Shanghai, a must go site of the city Historical buildings with amazing beautiful river views, Night scene is superb! Yet there's just always loaded with people and tourists You better get your metro return ticket in advance! the line-up is nasty, and you just can't compete with nasty Chinese in line…

The embankment Bund (or Waitan, as the locals say), is an excellent place for morning and evening walks. It's a great place to face the sunrise here-the sun rises because of some of Shanghai's most famous skyscrapers!
It's quite possible to get to the first subway flights.
The entire embankment is clean and washed at night.

The usual place. The usual embankment which is crowded with the Chinese. There are not enough eateries, and it would be cool if not stink of toilets: +. Despite my neutral review, all Chinese love this place. I don't understand why the attraction made it.

Just fantastic! Along the way it's constantly all clean, shops of all kinds, fast-food bar pharmacies all @ malls!
