What a gem in the heart of Valparaiso. The staff is fantastic, the gardens are lovely and many sights and good restaurants within a short walk from the hotel.

A wonderful place to stay on the edge of Cerro Concepcion with a beautiful garden overlooking the harbor, located between Paseo Gervasoni and Paseo Atkinson.

Really great hotel — boutique but really well designed. The rooms are spacious and some have great views. This is a nice relief from generic corporate hotels.

We had a superb 3 night stay here! We received excellent and attentive service from Italo, Nicolas, and Natalie. Wonderful guesthouse is well-maintained in unique Valpo.

The room was a little old and worn out (I had mosquitoes flying in the room all night) but the parking space attached to it is ample and precious.

Hotel has a lot of character and staff were very friendly. Just be aware that the steps down to the entrance from the road are very steep especially with a heavy suitcase!

Great, hotel close to the city center and the breakfast with many options, there are some points that they have to improve but in Valparaiso I think Diego de Almagro is on the top of the hill.

We loved the vibe and location of the hostel. The room was good enough. A lot of locations to chill and a nice kitchen area.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hostel is located in one of the most beautiful streets of Valparaiso.
Cleanliness was definitely not bad but could be improved.

Beds were comfy and clean. Bathroom was clean but could do with a bathmat to keep the floor dry after showers! Breakfast was great. Good coffee, scrambled eggs, bread, ham and cheese!

Good location. Great restaurant in the hostel, very good, modern food. Pleasant breakfasts. Nice service. Only the rooms were a bit dirty and unfortunately very dark.

We stayed at Hostal Escalera al Puerto in Valparaíso over New Years Eve, the owners of the hostel were wonderful and very welcoming.

Hotel is very close to Asencion area which is most attractive bars and restaurant area. It takes to get there 10 minutes by walk.
They have own parking area if you have rented any car.

Hotel Casa Higueras (January 14, 2026 stay)
For independent travelers, this hotel is a perfect pre-cruise destination, conveniently located near many Valparaiso landmarks.

This was our second visit, as we loved it so much the first time. Lovely people, spotless room with convenient kitchen, and secure parking for our motorbike. Excellent value for money!.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The B&B is housed in a beautiful old building, which adds a lot of character to the experience.

A lovely little place. We received a very warm welcome from the hostess, and she gave us some tips. The terrace is absolutely gorgeous.

We stayed two nights here from 17 to 19 November. The host is very welcoming and provided great recommendations for exploring the city.

The last stop on our 2 week adventure in Chile was in Valparaiso, across the bay from Vina del Mar.

Stunning view of the town below and the Pacific Ocean. We were in room 7 which was plenty big enough for 3 single beds.

This Hostel is very beautiful and clean. The room was sunny and big. The kitchen always clean and in order. There is a wonderful terrace to stay with people to talk. And the mood was fantastic.

Very warm hostel with family vibes and a chilled atmosphere. Easy to socialise with the volunteers and guests and set within a good location between the bus terminal and tourist hotspots.

We found Freddy's accommodation at the last minute and when Valparaíso was full! Freddy treated us very kindly! The rooms are very comfortable and very well equipped!
