SPA Hotels in Antofagasta Region

The culture shock of entering San Pedro de Atacama in Northern Chile may not prepare you for the accommodations in the town.

Clean rooms, pool a bit buggy. The location is pretty good, at the end of caracoles but away from the noise. Electrics a little dodgy. Service and staff friendliness was great.

I traveled to San Pedro de Atacama for a new Moon In July, to see the Milky Way in the Southern sky…the BEST place (and time), on Earth to stargaze!

Excellent accommodations we have had on our South American trip. The rooms were well appointed, beds super comfortable, fantastic food, great service, and close to local shops.

I had a wonderful stay at Terrantai. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive—special thanks to Cristian, Llenia, and Ino for making the experience so memorable.

Highly recommend staying here! My wife and I were in the Atacama for five nights and had an incredible stay at Terrantai. The property is beautiful and the rooms were clean and charming.

This review is from our 5 night stay at Tierra Atacama in June of 2026
Service – The service throughout our stay was outstanding.

Overall an excellent stay. Highly recommend.
Booked suite to have a private guide and flexibility to set daily itinerary. Suite was beautiful and pictures don't do it justice. We loved the room.

Would have been nice if the musicians were higher up to see them better.

It's a bit old, the rooms are worn and it looks depressing.

We stayed 6 days in Nayara and it was amazing.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and had a wonderful overall experience. The excursions were fantastic; we especially enjoyed the cactus hike, the solar excursion, and the astronomy viewing.

We truly loved our stay here. Rooms were clean, breakfast was great and the location is perfect. Just a very short walk to the city centre. Also, Felipe and Angelo are real troopers!

We have spent a beautiful night in the Ckoi Atacama Lodge.
Our room was spacious and bright and everything was clean.
The architecture of the hotel is beautiful and made in the local style.

We stayed at Explora Atacama as part of the Explora Travesía (Atacama → Bolivia → Uyuni) and it was an incredible start to an unforgettable trip.

Absolutely amazing experience. It wasn’t just the setting, the food, and the service, although these were spectacular. It was the model: it’s all about the excursions.

We loved everything, so pretty, peaceful, very comfortable beds and places to relax, lovely decor, friendly staff. So nice to return here after tours. Felt a very special place.

• Expectations vs. Reality: When booking, we kept our expectations modest.

We stayed at Hotel Kimal for 5 nights in Dec 2025. We chose this hotel because of its location, an easy walking distance to town.
The room is nice as expected.

Beautiful place with a great vibe and super friendly staff (Shout out to Sevla on front desk for amazing hospitality).

The hotel rooms are very spacious and comfortable.
The pool is very nice and the good thing is that it is heated and works all year round. I recommend a family weekend.

Excellent hotel, the service is incredible and the rooms are very comfortable.
The heated pool is spectacular and it is close to many establishments.
Highly recommended.

This was the perfect hostel which was like an oasis in the desert. The kitchen facilities were amazing and the breakfast was brilliant.

Good clean rooms. Nice hosts. Good breakfast. Excellent kitchen facilities.

An absolutely perfect stay. The apartments are lovingly furnished, and the service is exceptionally friendly and helpful.

We stayed at one of the lofts and it was super nice — spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The property itself is stunning, with amazing views and a really peaceful atmosphere.

Great stay! The hotel is a bit outside the city center, but it has a stunning infrastructure, plus a free shuttle service to downtown. The rooms are spacious, cozy, beautifully decorated and heated.

Nice place just outside of the main street of San Pedro, on the outskirts of town. Very comfortable rooms (with tons of space). Hotel staff is very friendly and ready to help.

I took one star off the because the rooms in this hotel are not equipped for winter, I am sure they would be fabulous in the summer.

We spent five nights at Our Habitas Atacama at the start of May 2026.

A great place to stay. Attentive staff. I was especially impressed by Sevla, the check-in clerk, who took time to get to know each guest in a warm welcoming manner!

Wi-Fi’s a bit slow but otherwise it’s a lovely hostel with a very nice family managing the place. The place has a small garden on the inside and a washing machine.

We book two rooms here as we travel with friends. They are basic but nice, one of them has a fridge, the other doesn't The shared bathroom is small but clean….

Most rooms here are spacious, and they boast a full-windowpane view to the Pacific Ocean and the swimming pool on the ground floor right next to the coastline.

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Terrado! The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of flavors that satisfied every craving.

A very nice hotel just 10 minutes walk from town. Friendly reception staff. Rooms are large and well furnished. On site restaurant available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We enjoyed spending four nights at this hotel. It is an odd place in a way with low and somewhat worn buildings but it is in character with the town.

It's an old hotel but a decent one with nice common spaces and old-fashioned rooms. Just don't expect fanciness or brand-new stuff from it, you'll admit that it's a pretty wonderful one for the value.

Very handily located for Calama Airport (no shuttle, but Uber was only $5) Room was clean & quiet.

Honestly, a really nice place with great conditions. Much more modern and comfortable compared to many other hostels we’ve seen or stayed at in the area.

We had a wonderful stay at this lodge! The rooms were lovely, and the service was incredibly attentive. Alvaro and Benito were fantastic—always available and happy to help with anything we needed.
