Explora gave us a wonderful experience in San Pedro Atacama and previously in Easter Island. Highly recommended for quality of service, accommodation, food, guides, ambience and overall value for money.

This is an amazing and magical place! Explora takes such good care of their guests. They thought of everything. Accommodations, food, service were awesome. If you want to visit and explore a wild, untamed land while staying in luxury this is your place! I cannot say enough good things about this area and Explora. The guides are worth their weight in gold and then some!

Outstanding hotel, very friendly staff and sensible service (with some exceptions like Consuelo, the head of activities, which is quite rude and lacks any manners). The architecture and set up of this hotel is perfectly matching with the impresive sourroundings of this land, a very elegant and peaceful place. The activities organised by the hotel are great, they get you in close contact with nature and wild beauty. Atacama is a class destination by itself.

Very friendly but very expensive for your services.

It is a really complete experience. They provide you over 40 different activities in the Atacama, with very well trained guides. It is not cheap but it is worth.

This overrated, normal facilities in a tourist town with many beautiful spots that you can visit on your own or with specialized guides at a reasonable cost and not paying in a hotel as if you were at the Waldorf Astoria.

Wonderful people and place. Not to be missed.

Really poor service for a 5 star hotel that cost this much money (around 1700$ per night). The head manager is really bossy and 0 accommodating for any of the guest’s need. The food is also really average and I was not even able to do the excursions we wanted because they were fully booked without the possibility of booking them in advance. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for a luxury experience in Atacama.

A nice place, all inclusive but where the quality has no relation to how expensive it is.

A place where you can escape the routine where you really feel happy for the very good work of the staff working in Explora.

Let me preface by saying I am an avid climber and backpacker. If you love the natural world and want a comfortable home base with amazing food, service and guides, (and star gazing) Explora is the place for you. This is not what I would call a luxury resort by most standards, but it is amazing from an ecotourism standpoint on a high desert. I recommend staying for no fewer than 7 days, but I'd you want to go up to 6000m or see the majority of the area here and experience the culture, 10 days or more makes sense to me. Explora staff are fantastic. They work with you, they care about your comfort and health and are passionate about giving you the best possible experience exploring the Atacama region. I had a lovely time here and while I really enjoy sleeping in my tent under the stars, sometimes it's nice to enjoy a more refined approach to harsh environments as well. I would love to come back and do this all over again — many times. After all, the desert is constantly changing!

Wow. What an experience. This hotel is a once-in-a-lifetime find. I can't speak highly enough of all aspects of staying here. The manager, Maureen, took care of all aspects of our stay and was incredibly friendly. It's expensive, and in my opinion, worth absolutely every cent.

A wonderful awesome hotel, great service. The location in the Atacama is splendid. Guides provide wonderful tours, hiking or horse riding. One of best places I have ever been. Its worth going, although it is a litte expensive.

We stayed at Explora to celebrate our engagement and it was one of the best experiences of both of our lives. The tours were excellent, the food was superb and the surrounding Atacama desert is another world. This is worth every single penny.
