Excellent coffee and custard tart but do be careful of wandering pickpockets and thievery.

This was a very nice hotel for the area and the staff was outstanding with their housekeeping and customer service! I will definitely be returning here when I come back to Mindelo.

Cool staff and tasty food. We came several times to enjoy it! Live music after 19:30 is fantastic too!

Exceptionally good cuisine — put yourself in their hands for some special treats from the ocean. Add to this some local CV or Portuguese wine, what more do you want…? Well, what you will get is a perfect host and on the right night, local talented musicians. I challenge you to better this place ; you wont! Stay there in the rooms above — great cafe feeling in the middle of town. A great atmosphere. Friendly & helpful.

Nice cafe! A bit expensive, but have some good apps (bafas) and live music.

We had a very good dinner at an affordable price and with excellent live music. We'd definitely be back. They accept card and have perfect Wi-Fi.

I have that a small comment is the breakfast there is a card I liked the card but it's still the same card I think it should change the breakfast menu from time to time

Nice cafe in the city center. Very good tuna and other fish which you can have as fresh caught of the day.

The best located, impossible not to stumble with this café-restaurant in the centre of Mindelo is 100 metres from the Marina Mindelo, and 50 of the Municipal Market and the Câmara. Mixed dishes at reasonable prices and options. European ambiance and tourist to be confused with the regular residents. A meeting point. It has ideal rooms for a couple of days without sleep… that is the end of the week in Mindelo. Well.

The young boss Philip is next to the plate. No diplomacy. We have been stuck for two days here and our Porter then makes us eat lunch and dinner here or 72 meals. Order errors we make an overrun of 10 euros on 864 euros. And this gentleman is not letting go of anything. What merchant? Knowing that the fault is not obvious.
After checking the notes it is noticed that he doubled the price of some dishes. We still had an apology, but he ruined the evening. Almost an hour of stormy talk. Address to avoid
Otherwise we eat very nice waiters.

We were there with a group of 18, sent by our airline. If the food was good, the service was very slow (one hour waiting for the dishes while we had ordered in advance).
In addition the boss, while he was mistaken on the Bill wanted us to claim, in Tord, 3, €9 on an invoice of more than €800.
Result: 1h of disdecision and spoiled evening.

Great place to stay. Friendly staff and very cosy and clean rooms. There is a rooftop terrace with a nice view! The restaurant serves good food, but breakfast is not served at 7, but at 7-ish.

Just got back from Cape Verde, and we stayed for 3 nights, staying in Cafe Mindelo. I recommend it fully. Renovated rooms, very clean. Situation super central. The breakfast is perfect, the restaurant has q below and in the same hotel. Super full. With fruit, coffee, omelette, sweet, etc, In the same restaurant for the night, all the days music Caboverdiana, and the food of very good quality. But above all, I appreciate very much the attention of their new managers, some guys Portuguese with experience in the breweries. Super. Super attentive. The more contact we had was with Felipe, who helps you in everything what q you need… and the other guy also, what q I don't remember the name… So q if you are going to Mindelo. This place is totally recomedable.

This was my choice in Mindelo. Relaxed, cool atmosphere, friendly. Good food, especially fish and lobster. Recommend highly.

Very good and fine kitchen at a reasonable price. Ponchos are a taste! Live music every night, very nice, musicians of high quality. Waitresses very friendly and helpful.

Superb, local cuisine right in the heart of Mindelo. Authentic creole dishes and unpretentious setting, with good service to boot. The grilled choriço (pictured) was sensational. A word of caution… fish are not well bled when caught, and you can taste it. The chef did a very credible job cooking the tuna, but be warned…

Terrible long wait for our dinner to arrive. And with terrible long I mean at least 1.5 hours… Food is average quality and they charged 400 esc for the couvert…

Casa Cafe Mindelo is an incredible place. I loved it from the very first moment. It has a perfect style, African with european touch. It's called "Casa" and really everything there is made to make you feel at home. In addiction, it's good located, the host is really nice, friendly and always ready to help you and the restaurant has nice style, excellent cuisine, beautiful music and very good caipirinha! Hope to come back.
