I want to recommend the resort because it’s a beautiful property and amazing place and we loved our time there. But the prices…the difference in price between March 2022 and March 2023 is between $400 and $500 PER NIGHT which is crazy. I also agree with comments in other review about the concierge being unhelpful.

The staff weren't very helpful, most of the staff are women, and the rooms are dirty.

We stayed in one of the signature hot tub suites and it was amazing. Fully equipped kitchen to cook gourmet dinners and gaze at the waves with a glass of wine. Large comfortable king size bed. Pet friendly. Steps to the most gorgeous beach. I highly recommend Pacific Sands and I definitely will return!

My husband and I have stayed a pacific sands twice now and both times it has been amazing. The rooms are clean and quiet and the kitchens have everything you need. We have stayed once in a beach house (amazing! ) and now in the oceanfront suite which was beautiful and had the best view of the ocean. Everyone in guest services was so friendly and helpful I wish I could remember names! We will be back for sure.

Love this resort we always come back here and we love it each time! Definitely recommend booking and staying here you will not regret it at all! Super helpful guest services and the views from the rooms are amazing as well as you can get a s’mores kit at guest services which you can use at many of the fire pits they have on their property plus they have bikes that you may use also! We definitely can’t wait to come back soon!

I’ve been coming to Pacific Sands since 1984. Stunning beach, nicely appointed units, great staff and now a snack bar onsite!

Just returned from a fabulous 3 day stay at Pacific Sands. We had so much fun. We took surfing lessons, rented and rode the bikes available, made s’mores at the fire pits. Everything was beautiful. Cant wait to come back!

We visited at the end of October 2019 for 3 nights to celebrate our 40th birthdays. This place is amazing and we would highly recommend it to anyone travelling to Tofino. The resort is clean, comfortable and the beach is amazing for sunset views and relaxing walks! Can’t wait to return someday! ❤️

I would highly recommend Pacific Sands! They have it all, beautiful rooms, beautifully views and you’re steps away from the beach. The sunset are amazing! The staff is friendly and helpful. I’d stay there again.

What a magnificent place and in such a great location. I felt relaxed and at ease the moment I arrived.

Having a shuttle so you don't drink and drive and the driver was great! He even got out to see how long of a wait there was at one of the restaurants for us! Memories keep bringing me back and the views/sunsets are spectacular! Friendly staff and very helpful.

Our favorite spot by the Ocean
Our dog loves our Tofino escapes. We prefer the off season as it’s quieter. The Beach Houses are amazing with 3 levels and a huge kitchen. Staff is always great!

Spectacular views from all windows in the suite. Luxurious yet simplistic decor. Friendly and accommodating staff. Well kept grounds with great amenities. Family and pet friendly. Our family didn't want to leave! Looking forward to staying there again. (Stayed in Pacific Suite)

We just stayed in the ocean front lodge suite with the hot tub and one word. Wow. Very clean, comfortable and it felt like home. The staff was very helpful and responsive. The view was stunning. Falling asleep listening to the ocean was my favourite part. One thing I really liked was their shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion as well as hand soap. ALL natural from Sea Wench. I didn't even use any of my stuff I brought. Very good quality. Fully loaded kitchen. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get away and seriously unwind. This was my 5th time visiting this area and between Tofino and Ucluelet my heart has been stolen. If you haven't been you need to go!

Lovely place located by cox bay beach and great exploring on the beach from surfing, beach combing, and exploring lookout. Staff are really nice and great selection of dvds. It’s the place to fall in love again! Dog friendly beach and bike rental.

How we would have loved to stay longer than 3 nights! We had a wonderful stay. Our room was very comfortable — thank you so much for investing in good quality beds (even the sofa bed was great and slept our two boys comfortably), sheets and pillows. We slept so well and didn’t hear any noise from rooms above or below. Pacific Sands is all about the details. From the beach towels, towels for pets, lovely toiletries, well supplied kitchen (although a fry pan would be a handy addition), good quality TV, free DVD rentals and games, free supply of good coffee, fluffy towels, free detergent for the laundry, s’mores for the kids each evening, free kids movies, reasonable bike rentals, the natural landscaping, hammocks by the beach, great access to the beach. I could go on. The staff were friendly and very helpful and we wish we lived closer as we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you!

We had a great time! Friendly staff, nice accommodations and beautiful unspoiled beaches. The grill has excellent food and if you come with kids there is a plethora of activities being organized for them daily at no extra charge! We will be back next year no doubt.

Hotel that looks out onto beautiful Cox Bay with beach access! Great for families or just adults looking for a getaway. A bit on the pricey side but as always you get what you pay for.

No room service.

At a 5 star resort we expected better food
Going to Mexico next time instead
Pacific sands is the best resort we have stayed at on long beach. Most expensive and worst food though.

Family friendly establishment. Convenient facilities and services. Quick access to Cox Bay Beach. Very friendly staff and well maintained units. I will definitely stay here again. Must try the Surf Side Grill. Excellent food with outside seating area.

Love Pacific Sands and absolutely heartbroken the prices have increased so much over the last two or three years we can no longer afford to stay there. My husband and I have been staying there since we met 12 years ago. We used to visit at least once a year and often twice a year. It was our spot — our happy place. We were so happy to be able to bring our now two year old boy last year. But we realized this year that was likely our last visit. … So if you have the money — I highly recommend. Beautiful, friendly staff, pet friendly, great family vacation or romantic weekend getaway. To Pacific Sands — thank-you for the lovely memories. We will miss you!

We stayed on our first trip to Vancouver Island in 2016, and definitely enjoyed out stay here. We had beautiful views of the Ocean and were very close to the beach. The service was great and our suite had everything we could have needed. Lovely place, and Tofino is such a delight! Can't wait to go back…

Stayed in one of their beach houses and it was incredible. Would absolutely return and recommend! Be cautious of the hours that Surf Sisters claims to be “open”. Chatted with them about some rentals and said we’d be back after our bike ride, when we returned 10 minutes before they closed, it was all locked up and no one in sight. We called the main location and they totally brushed us off, saying “yeah. They probably closed up early to go surfing. ” Super disappointing. Not at fault of Pacific Sands, their service was outstanding.

Pricy but on the beach and fantastic environment. Excellent service and amenities. Will definitely re visit.

We stayed in the Lodge suites and it was perfect. 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living area and patio. Laundry was out of order and the staff gave us a key to a guest house to use the in-suite laundry. Great location with beach access, especially if you like to surf or boogey board. A nice fish and chips shack if you feel not going out from the resort after a surf session. +! for on site Tesla Charger.

Fabulous. Quiet but fun, something for anyone who loves unspoiled beaches and natural beauty. Plenty og activities and great food, mostly locally sourced, perfectly compliment this great location.

Great walk, good beaches, lovely views of surfers and sunsets. If you are lucky, you'll be able to spot mating pairs of bald eagles flying across or perched atop the spruces. The beach sand is not the most pretty looking but the Pacific ocean views overshadow it. Lots of dogs and owners playing around. What's less know are the walks/trails you can take towards each side of the beach for even better views from the top.

This resort is incredible (I've been twice now). Stunning beach houses. Unbeatable views and beach access. Terrific service. Minutes to Tofino proper. Can't wait to visit again.

Very very lovely, we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are very clean, well put together modern with all the amenities and with an absolutely gorgeous view. We would "Highly" recommend it we'll definitely be back. "Pet friendly" :) )

Baby, puppy and family friendly place that can also be a romantic getaway. The room privacy is amazing and they have amenities to support most needs. Located right on Cox Beach makes walks and playing on the beach possible year round. As the rooms have full kitchens you can make whatever you want and there is even a small selection of groceries available through guest services if you feel like something extra.

This resort is just gorgeous. The staff is very helpful and nice, but you just can't beat the location! Smack dab in the middle of Cox Bay, just steps from the beach. Absolute paradise!

Do you like sand that gets everywhere despite every precaution you have taken? If you answered yes to any of these then this is the place for you! Get your reservation now! Disclaimer: the highway there is insane. Don't do it at night. Bad beans all around.

It was amazing. The beach house was wonderful, from having and open kitchen space to one of the best master bedrooms I have ever seen In a hotel. A great place to surf as well for all levels. I had never surfed before coming to Tofino and by the end of the 2 day trip I was able to catch a wave by myself and stand on the board! I'd love to go back.

Amazing spot right by one of the best surfing spots in Tofino. Very comfortable beds and helpful staff. Our suite was one of the older ones but still did the trick!

The 2 BR Beach House was a dream. We couldn't believe how luxurious it was when we walked in. The master suite is phenomenal. The soaking tub overlooking the beach was so relaxing. Housekeeping was very friendly and efficient. Clean. Dog friendly location. The views are to die for!

I was looking forward to staying in this beautiful resort and I was disappointed with the lack of cleanliness in my suit. My parents book a room with a bed and pull out bed. The sheets on the pullout bed where I was sleeping were stained and had not been changed for a long time. The pillows were the most discusting because there were stains on the covers and the pillows themselves. Hotel staff were also not accommodating to my request for new sheets and pillows. I was really disappointed and probably not stay there again. However the view of the beach was amazing.

Friendly and professional greeting, but our assigned unit was a deep disappointment. While some effort has been made to clean it up and modernize (kitchen cabinets, kitchen table and chairs, vinyl flooring, relatively new mattress), the unit was dingy, the bedroom carpet stained, and the living room furniture soiled and uncomfortable. Worse, there was an external stairway right outside the bedroom window which obviously communicated the noise of walking and voices into the bedroom and there is no sound isolation from the upper floor from which the noise (of a dog? ) and a child romping and throwing things around echoed around like the inside of a drum. More like a motel than a luxury resort and therefore not worth the price, in spite of the dynamite location and beautiful grounds. The spectacular property, terrific location and friendly staff do, to some degree, redeem it.

Beautiful location, very friendly staff, lovely accommodation. You walk out onto the beach from the patio doors of the apartment and the view is fantastic. On site washing facilities are reliable. Parking available on site. Short drive away from centre of tofino. Would highly recommend.

Always a fantastic experience. This is where I usually go when staying in Tofino and it's always excellent service, beautiful private feeling one bedrooms and a sprawling private beach in front!

Fantastic as always. I believe this is by far the best value for the money in Tofino. My wife and I just celebrated our Babymoon here last week, in an Ocean Front Studio. Was perfect for the two of us, and literally 10 steps from the door to the beach! Friendly staff and great beach for walks, dogs, pictures etc. We will be back for sure!

Went to Pacific Sands in October with my wife for a 3 night stay. The location is directly on beach and our place was just a few short steps away. The units are great — we stayed in a one bedroom unit — with lots of room. Staff were very courteous and helped us out with all our requests. For dinner we walked down to Long Beach lodge which is a 1 minute walk away on the beach. The unit we stayed in also had a kitchen so we had a few meals in the unit. One day we took a tour to the hot springs which was well worth it. Overall, Tofino and Long Beach area are amazing and Pacific Sands was amazing as well. Highly recommended! Amazing relaxing getaway!

Excellent place to stay for holydays… We were there for three nights, Tofino a good place too, the appartment is large, we were 4 people in wery easily and comfortable… The environment is top! Bernard & nadine French tourists from Normandy.
