Staying at the Ocean Front Hotel is just the start of an amazing journey to Bere Point to find peace and to get grounded! It’s so beautiful on Malcolm Island. I highly recommend it for any age.

It's a very cozy historical place where super friendly personable people hang out with amazing accomadating staff.

I am a documentary film maker who traveled to Malcolm Island for the first time this last week. This place is simply fantastic. Friendliest and most down to earth staff I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with anywhere. Leave behind the brand name places you might be used to and check into the Oceanfront. The rooms are not cookie cutter. Each one is unique and you feel like you are in a neat little apartment instead of a typical hotel room. There is a restaurant downstairs with an amazing view of the harbor. You can literally walk from the Ferry terminal to the hotel in like… 30 seconds! Leave your car at home. I just can't say enough about how much I liked this place and the friendly, professional staff working there. Worth every single penny. You'll only regret that you couldn't stay longer.

Very cosy, beautiful view on the sea. You will sleep with the sound of the wave. The room was clean and the bed confortable. Friendly owners and very welcoming. The plus you will see the whales around the island.

The rooms are clean and staff are excellent.

Loved the deck space! Partially enclosed decks help cut the wind but don't minmize the stunning view of being right on the water. There were even extra blankets provided for colder weather deck experiences. The decor was cute and each room was a little different. Mini fridge and microwaves in the room was great convenience. Having access to the common space freezer and kitchen was handy too. Wonderful idea to have extra reading material and board games available in the common space for family fun or quiet time. Loved being just beside the ferry terminal, that's extremely convenient!

Beautiful view of the water, amazing friendly staff, ability to cook if you choose to. Comfortable rooms, onsite Pub in Summer. Great getaway. Bakery nearby as well as a good restaurant. A winner for people looking for a cool place to hang out, boat, fish, hike, bike, getaway from it all.

Awesome pub great bartender!

Myself and the other half went to Sointula, not expecting anything but left wanting more. We stayed at the oceanfront and loved every minute of it. Loved waking in the morning to the sound of the waves. We borrowed some bikes and took in the beautiful scenery and met with the friendly locals. The staff at Oceanfront were very friendly and helpful but my favourite was definitely the lovely Irish barman Vinnie. Everyone had such interesting stories here. I would love to come back to the harmony some day.

As a local (from Port McNeill) we decided to go to the pub prior to taking in a comedy event in Sointula. I had never had a tour of the hotel or gone inside the pub. What an amazing little gem of a place. It has charm galore, lots of interesting things hanging on the wall and amazing carvings (by artist Ryan Pakkalan) in the lobby. The pub does not serve food but the the owners will allow you to bring in food from neighbouring establishments. The reason they don't serve food… because they do not want to put anyone else out of business. This philosophy of community and working together is what will bring me back and tell others about this really cool place! I would highly recommend a visit and/or a stay here!

Fantastic InnKeeper Robin and a lovely, comfy, place to relax and unwind! Dreamy sunsets, people in the town are friendly, allowed to make our selves at home and just unwind in this Funky, Fabulous Village by the Sea! Walk to everything or use a Free Bicycle to tour the town!

Great place to soak up the sea and mountains as they are a stones through literally from your private balcony! Loved the quaint and charming, clean little room I had. Great people running the place too. I loved that all I did was drive a few hundred feet from the ferry and park at the hotel, then got my free bike from Visitor Info and was car and care free for my whole stay. Will be going back and recommending to friends!

Super nice staff, awesome views of the ocean. We got the newer room with the fireplace and it was so cozy. We would definitely come again xo.

Shelly, who is, in my opinion, one of the best cooks in the Northern Islands area, is as friendly & cheery, & good hearted as her co workers — with kitchen staff who's hearts & smiles are reflections of the whole small population of aaaall those living on Malcolm Island. It's a biiig step back in time, that upon docking, brings a lasting & amazing peace like many seldom know.

Clean. A bit small. Amazing balcony and view.

My wife and I stayed at Malcom Island Inn for our 19th Anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed our ocean view suite and the hosts, Ray and Robin made us feel at home. We spent two full days sport fishing and caught some beautiful Chinook salmon and halibut. For our anniversary dinner we dined in the 'Whale's Rub pub' with a beautiful view of the ocean. I chose the rib eye steak and my wife ordered the ribs. The food was perfectly seasoned and delicious. After dinner we played pool and relaxed while enjoying the ambiance and rustic sea-side décor. We are already planning our next trip to Malcom Island Inn, Sointula, BC.
