The food and atmosphere provided by the amazing ocean views on the patio and fantastic service from our server Mackenzie made for a delightful night. Felt great to be out we had a fantastic time! Would highly recommend.

Stayed at one of their pet friendly rooms… lovely large room with a patio, the pet bed wasn't big enough for our doggo, but we brought his so that was not a big deal. The front desk clerk was lovely, greeted our dog and super friendly. Lots of amenities if we wanted to indulge. We were here to relax and study for courses we are taking and this room did the trick!

Amazing, helpful staff who make you feel welcome the moment you walk in the door. Special mention to Kellie, the bar manager, who exemplifies professionalism and customer service, along with her staff, especially Ginny and Brennan. They all made our stay memorable, to say the least!

Beautiful Rooms and view. Qualicum Beach Inn offered exceptional service! We were accommodated on short notice when we had a mishap with our original Air B and B booking. QBI saved the day and made the trip very memorable. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you!

Was here for a quick bite when I was out west visiting some family. It was a nice spot and the staff were very friendly throughout our experience.

Had such an amazing romantic get away here with my life partner. I booked last minute on a long weekend not expecting too much, but this place was absolutely perfect for us. The decor is stunning minimal and very cozy, and the beach across the street is so lovely — perfect view of the sunset. There was a paddle board vendor by the beach and a taco truck which made for a great afternoon. The spa facilities are gorgeous too, we were shocked to have them all to ourselves at night on a long weekend! My only criticism is that it was a bit more of process than it needed to obtain ice. Still I give this place five stars and would highly recommend it.

We stayed in a beautiful room on the second floor with a stunning view of the ocean. So nice in fact that instead of eating out we grabbed a few things from the store and enjoyed a casual dinner on our room patio staring out at the sunset. The decor was modern and tasteful. The suite felt luxurious, and the spa facilities were gorgeous. This place seriously exceeded my expectations and its at the top of my list of places to go, even if just for the night, to get away.

Love it here! All around the hotel and restaurant offer exceptional service. Truly deserving 5 stars.

The food here is is definitely upbeat and delicious. This new Chef came through like Gordon Ramsay. This place will be the spot when coming thru. Beach right across the street with view from the rooms. Highly recommend!

Qualicum Beach Inn has a beautiful setting overlooking the water with about half its suites facing that way. Amenities are modern and rooms spacious. Wifi is free on premises. Temperature was well regulated and the bed very comfortable. There is a restaurant on the premises that is very well reviewed (myself included). Also a fitness room and pool though I did not make use of them. The only downsides from my visit are that parking is quite cramped (though free) and more significantly, it is two stories with no elevator. Be prepared to carry any luggage up the stairs, though the concierge is there to assist.

The hotel rooms are comfortable and elegant. The hotel staff is the best ive seen on theisland other than at the Wick. Go elsewhere for breakfast though.

Can't comment on the rooms or the service in the hotel, but I can comment on the restaurant, which was more than disappointing. Tasteless food, poorly plated. Two at our table ordered halibut and chips, one plate looked reasonable, the other looked as though the cook (can't call whoever made that meal a chef) stood about five feet away and tossed it onto the plate hoping some of it would land. The two pieces of halibut on the different plates were completely mis-matched, one was a reasonable size, the other looked like a child's portion. The cole-slaw served with the fish and chips was inedible. Fries were cold. Care about your food, Qualicum Inn. What a shame to waste a beautiful location and setting on such a dog's breakfast of a meal. We were told 'the fish is weighed' so, I guess what you are telling me is that it's my fault for noticing the difference between the two portions that came to our table. The 'bar' manager came to our table and did compensate us on our bill for the issue, but seriously, I would rather have had another piece of fish so that at least I could have left the place not ravenous, and needing to go eat somewhere else. Ridiculous.

Took my mother here for a Mother's Day dinner, the food was gross and way over priced for what you get. If your going to charge $24 for a plate of pasta you could at least make fresh pasta! Secondly the 10oz steak meal was all cold including the veggies and mash potatoes, the server also was very rude, and had to wait for ever to get another drink. I can honestly say I won't be wasting my money here again!

I can't say enough about the level of service in this establishment. You know how the coffee in your room is usually accompanied by coffee mate? If you so desire, they will deliver milk or cream to your room if you ask. That's how good this place is.

Out of season now, drinks and snacks on their oceanview patio is a summer essential! Bring your friends and ease the night away … beautiful! For a meal, I would recommend breakfast or weekend brunch … with cup fulls of local roasted coffee. Accommodations are pricey, but some of the absolute best in town!

Staff was nice. Very informative. The room was nice and comfy except our shower curtain was very dirty! I think the cleaning staff missed it. It was a white curtain that was black.

I had a wonderful 7 day stay here. My room was beautiful, with a view of the ocean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend a stay here!

This has to be one the classiest hotels I have ever stayed in and I stay in alot of hotels. Amazing restaurant, great drinks and an unbelievable staff. If you are in Qualicum stop by and at least have dinner here.

Nice little place. They did a great job with attention to details in this hotel — updated bathroom, Nespresso machine, TV, unique art work, and lighting fixtures. Great restaurant and beautiful views. Staff are awesome. Get a view of the ocean with a balcony.

I cannot express how great this place is. The staff go above and beyond. The rooms are spotless and have a vintage/modern take that is so stunning in every aspect. The food is delicious, the pool is amazing, and the small touches from a nespresso coffee maker in every room down to the miniature jam jars at breakfast show how much they take pride in making your stay as enjoyable as possible.

This place is very beautiful, right by the ocean, and super accommodating! We stayed one night with our dog and they were very friendly with us and to our little furry. They even made sure we had a little dog bed for her in the room. The staff was very nice and chatty with us and were very knowledgeable about the menu options. Also, not to mention the pool and other amenities are very fancy and an added bonus. My boy friend and I would definitely say here again!

Small but wonderfully updated boutique hotel with an amazing restaurant, great service and a very wonderful hands on owner. My single king room was very spacious with beautiful decor and a nicely done bathroom. Located across the street from the water. Only stayed the one night but would definitely stay there again.

Stellar experience with the QB Inn. The beds are dreamy and soft, the sheets are the softest I've ever slept on. The staff was courteous and accommodating. The pool and hot tub area was super clean and quite luxe. We had 2 meals in the restaurant, both excellent. Really just a game changer for staying in Qualicum Beach. I loved the decor, and even the fuzzy blanket provided in the room was of the best quality. I love this place.

My only complaint is that I am only staying 1 night. The hotel is completely renovated top to bottom. Yes, definitely no elevator but the main floor is no problem for those with mobility troubles. Every fine detail is taken care of. The soaps smell amazing and are high quality, a clothing steamer and robe in my closet, an espresso machine in the room, a great big TV, beautiful view with private balcony, little chocolates which are personalized for the hotel… I could go on. I don't have anything but nice things to say about this place. I will absolutely be back!

We wanted a girl's weekend trip away from the busy capital of victoria and we chose this inn. Very happy with our choice. First impression was the incredible front desk staff and the housekeeping staff who greeted us. The amenities in the room where top notch with ipod dock and nespresso coffee maker and clean, comfy beds with a great ocean view. It is evident the place has been updated and is offering the best quality of products in the rooms for the guests to truly enjoy their stay. We had dinner on the patio and our server and other wait staff were absolutely amazing! We enjoyed a few drinks at the bar after dinner and the bartender was the icing on the cake of our entire stay. Her customer service and skills tending bar were excellent. The hotel was quiet after midnight and we both enjoyed a great nights sleep. We spent the morning lounging by the pool on the sun deck which we noticed offers direct sun from 9am-9pm so getting a nice tan is easy here. I will recommend this place to anyone and stay there again when I can.

Wonderful, wonderful, WONDERFUL. Everything about this place is a dream — from the gorgeous beach views to the super soft bedding. The hotel staff was beyond lovely and the restaurant was incredible, all the wait staff went above and beyond to make our meals so enjoyable. We came to vacation with our two young kids and honestly, it's been the best vacation we've ever had, thanks in no small part to the OUTSTANDING service at the Qualicum Beach Inn and CView Restaurant. We will absolutely be back as soon as possible, and we will recommend this place wholeheartedly to all our friends. What an unforgettable experience, we are so grateful to the Qualicum Beach Inn for making our trip to Vancouver Island so fabulous.

Rating is for the restuarant portion I never stayed in the hotel. Went there for dinner with a large group (booked in advance). Arrived around 7pm and didn't end up getting my food until 9:15 pm. In any other circumstance I would have walked out but I did not want to upset everybody else at the table.

I was the groom at a rehearsal dinner last week which several people have already complained about and I would like to set a few things straight. We made the reservation in the beginning of April and have sent the confirmation emails back to the events coordinator we even had a meeting with the manager laurent that he was late for and we had to have him called to show up for. The night of the dinner was an absolute disaster. Like the other posts state we were not fed for close to three hours and we had to ask for my wife's grandpa to be fed because he is a diabetic after the third time we asked he finally received his fish and chips that were burnt so bad he had to ask for help just to cut through it. When I finally got my meal I was going to wait for my brides meal to come so we could eat together but after ten minutes she insisted I eat so it wasn't too cold. By the time she finally recived her meal everyone was done eating and most plates had been cleared. When I recived my bill for $140 with a atoumatic tip of $16 I went to laurent to say I'm not paying the tip and he informed me that it would then come out of the waitress pocket. When other guest went to complain about the same thing they found him at the bar taking shots… when it was all said and done my wife walked out crying so I again went to laurent to tell him this and get him to do something to fix it… maybe flowers or a fruit basket in our room we were staying in the next night.

We waited 40 minutes for a waitress to take drink orders only, and 90 minutes to take food orders. Our group reservation was for 7pm and at 9:15pm my food finally arrived. Staff kept telling us everything would be ready soon, and it wasn't. We weren't even given an honest time estimate. This dinner was a wedding rehearsal dinner, reserved months in advance. We were a group of 31 and had the conference room booked. Several relatives have diabetes and should not be left waiting that long for food. If the restaurant lacked the service capacity to serve such a large group, they shouldn't have accepted the reservation. A few guests got up and left, but most of us just wanted to support the super-stressed bride and groom. To add insult to injury, the bride wasn't even served first, as per custom, but last. She has been frazzled enough with last minute wedding preparations, and should have been able to relax and enjoy her festive dinner with loved ones. The food was mediocre. My aunt's salad did not have enough dressing, and the ingredients were not exceptional. My $14 salad was a very small portion, and my appetizer had insufficient hummus to pita ratio. The pita strips appeared to be standard grocery store wrap shells, sliced and fried with salt, pepper, and parsley, and rather dry. I paid too much for this late and unsatisfying meal. The room was full of hangry guests, who began vocally protesting our treatment to the manager.

Have gone 2 times and each time a very different experience. Great atmosphere, good food quality and the price point is spot on. However as others have noted, there is a very obvious issue with staff. Here we have an split between well seasoned, experienced professionals like the floor manager (who was excellent on both visits) and the young and perhaps seasonal staff who have not been properly trained. I have heard repeat stories of people being served the wrong orders or bottle of wine with the wait staff rather oblivious to any problem. On my first visit, I had part of my meal served on top of three stacked menus (really?! ) and ended up with pieces of pork in a vegetarian salad and no waitress available to deal with it because she had 14 full tables with no backup staff. My second visit was completely different. My friend and I had pizzas that were perfectly done with fresh, flavorful ingredients and a waitress who was knowledgeable, experienced and had a sense of timing that takes years to develop. BUT When she went off duty before we finished our meal, it was obvious that the cat was away as the younger staff gathered at the bar and had loud conversations which should not have been public. It's unfortunate that it is hit or miss with the staff, but as the food was good both visits I will try it again and hope that it evens out once the growing pains are over. If it does, this will be a great go-to place and deserve 4 stars.
