Refresh Inn & Suites

Weird place. Was required I. D from both I and my wife? Also no visitors due to COVID 19? What is this? I didn’t have my I. D, and he took a picture of me on his personal phone. I don’t know what he will do with that photo now which is also very strange. Never had a hotel like this. Also food only in the common area? What is this? A paid jail?

If I could give 6 stars, I would.
All their staff from the receptions to housekeeping are accommodating and friendly. I had the chance to meet one of the owners and he’s very helpful.
24/7 reception & security.
Well-maintained facilities inside and out. Provide excellent housekeeping in the room and in the common kitchen. Very affordable laundry and the machines work very well.
I enjoyed the variety of breakfast. Maybe small but satisfying enough and nutritious.
Stayed for 4 nights in the executive king suite. Pillows, blankets, sheets smell fresh and clean. The place looks brand new — spotless.
Every $ is worth it.

The kitchen is beautiful but some staff are nice others seem grumpy or like they don't want to be bother. If it was on a quieter area it would be nice but it's right outside and busy street, as well as the parking is not the greatest as there is limited spots availability but over all its alright to stay in.

Great location, staff for friendly and helpful, good security area, quiet area very clean rooms and common areas.

We just checked out the other day after a one week's stay. My kids and I really enjoyed our time there! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, my kids and I enjoyed meeting all the staff during our stay. I love the location, we went walking around quite a bit since the area is so beautiful!
One of the "pros" of staying at Refresh Inn is the in-house laundry! It's cheap to wash and dry!

Visted couple months ago. Guy on reception wrote my credit card numbers on some paper, this is so suspecious, I recently had some unknown transactions on my card that made me write this review. They shoudnt be writting someones. Credit card numbers on paper and store it.
Place was noisy. Washroom was good. Bed sheet had women hair on it. Heating was good. Hardly slept because of heavy doors banging.
Over all experince was bad. I definatly gonna go my bank and ask to replace card.

Good survive not really good rooms really small hall ways.

I loved the room I was in and I liked in the other room I forgot it's name but I ate good 👍 I like the hotel this is too good to refresh in!

Worst place ever, the owner is in shambles. He was struggling taking in 2 gallons of water, so he blocked the way in and so we couldn’t get out (he was taking his time as I may add) all because he said he doesn’t have “workers” and I can see by his attitude thats why.

Room was ok however the staff and management are terribly rude. Parktown has rooms for $125 if you have family at RUH. You’ll be extremely comfortable there and the staff are amazing.

Worst experience of my life. I was threatened by the manger that I was going to be removed from the hotel or arrested if I didn’t let a man in to my room when I was dripping wet in a towel after taking a bath. He stood at my door way and actually wanted in to my room. I was told the fire department and police department were on the way because my smoke detector went off because I left the bathroom door open slightly ajar while taking a bath. The manager called again screaming that the police were on the way because I took a bath. I was scared. I called the police department and I called the fire department and there were no calls to either one and it was all lies.
I’m response to being banned from another hotel, not true. In response to the claim of me making racist comments not true. I told the man that stood at my room trying to push in my room while I was naked out of the bath that if I was his wife he would be very upset for me. It was scary.

We stayed overnight following abdominal day surgery at RUH as it is across the street from the Universary Hosoital. Our Room was quiet very clean, and comfortable. We needed a two bed room so I could rest quietly, so got a "double-full" with two double beds It was tight with my walker and being disabled but was very adequate. Continental breakfast and Wi-Fi is included. They carry frozen TV dinners and other food items to purchase, you can order in, bring in, or cook your own in their Gourmet Kitchen/lounge/ dinning room. They have an elevator servicing 3 floors. Smoking is at a picnic table in the back parking area for comfort, but not very accessible from the back door second floor exit, operated by your keycard, with a walker or in a wheelchair as there is only a flyght of stairs. Room rate was $139.00 plus a refundable damage deposit of $150.00. Staff was very polite and helpful. They gave not had a hospital room discount since Covid bit still reasonable. We will stay again.

This place was full of bed bugs this summer, so besides the bugs, transient guests and the used drug paraphernalia (used needles) I find outside almost every second morning. I can’t see how this place is rated 4.5 stars.
I’m surprised that the government health services continue to send sick ppl of the north to reside at Refresh Inn to stay during their already uncomfortable journey to healing.
Just think twice ppl, it’s cheap but at what cost?

Excellent and friendly staff. The rooms were very clean. We had a minor confusion (Lasted about 30 seconds) the first night and the staff went above and beyond to make sure that It was resolved. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who asks. Proximity to RUH was our reason for coming in and it was nice being able to walk across the road to get to the hospital.

The staff is incredible — very helpful and friendly. Location is great if you have a hospital stay at the university hospital, and is close to downtown. The common area kitchen is very well equipped, and everything is very clean and well kept in the rooms.
Definitely a hidden gem in Saskatoon. I'll be staying here any time I have business in Saskatoon. Very impressed!

Stayed here while my baby was in the NICU, and it was absolutely amazing. Amazing service, very friendly staff and very quiet building. I’ve had some of the best sleeps here (lol) the bed and bedding was beyond comfy. Would definitely recommend, and will be staying again in the future :)
