I recommend everything from this Hotel. From the sweet accueil, clean spacious room and absolute good price for the quality and the location! We have chosen this Hotel for their acceptance of big dog and they gave us a suite deluxe with a kitchenette and bowls ready for our Old English Sheepdog (quite big! ), they were very nice very helpful. Near everything by the river, restaurants, pubs, the port as the Old city! You can’t ask for more when you travel in Quebec with a dog! We will be back definitely! THANK YOU.

This is just a check in review. We took a night flight to Quebec City and booked this hotel. Si tired and wanted to sleep but room was not teady at 3.00 pm and still waiting… No ideaa when it will be ready.

Nicely renovated. Great location. Restaurants and cafes just outside the door and or short walks.

We purchased this hotel through a package deal with Travelocity. Once we arrived from the airport, the front desk staff was super friendly. The check-in process was effortless and they provided suggestions on tours and restaurants. There were brochures available at the front desk as well. Originally, before we arrived, I exchanged many emails with two of the staff through the Travelocity app; they were very thorough and prompt when responding. The daytime staff were more knowledgeable about the area and tours; unfortunately, the night staff, not so much. Julie helped us book the two bus tours and she ensured it was charged correctly. The room itself was spacious and just amazing. There was a CD player that was play some sorta music when we first walked in. The kitchen/bar area included pots/pans, a coffeemaker, stove and microwave, etc. This definitely made it easier for us to stock up on pastries and heat them. The fridge was too cold and turned the water to ice though. The bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. The TV only had a few English channel, so we we played TLC every night. The bathroom had some sort of awful moldy/mildew smell. I couldn't figure out if it was the shower curtain or the cloth they use for cleaning. Another thing I noticed was there were a lot of randomly placed lights, but there wasn't enough central lighting. The hotel is located very close to the water. There are many restaurants and cafes near the hotel.

A warehouse converted into a condo type hotel. It is located in the heart of Old Quebec and the old port, literally within walking distance to shops and restaurants in the area. Valet parking in front of the hotel so you leave the car and walk around. The front desk staff, concierge are extremely friendly, helpful, easy on the eyesl and speak both languages. Room is clean, modern, spacious with a kitchenette including dinning wares and cutlery. A Kreurig machine with coffee pods is a bonus. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant as there are so many other options in the area. We will definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

Great hotel in a good location with a great staff and the price was reasonable. From the time we checked in, until we left everyone at this hotel did everything they could to make our stay the best it could be. The rooms were clean and very spacious for a European style hotel. Highly recommend.

Fantastic hotel. Super friendly and helpful staff, extremely comfortable bed in a well appointed room with great old Quebec City charm. Great breakfast and the restaurant served me the best flat iron steak I have ever had. I give this place an 11 out of 10

Enjoyed our stay here. Nicely modernised room. Price per-night was way better than Château Frontenac. Price to park could've been a little cheaper ($25 USD). Will explore parking options further for next time. Close neighborhood had plenty going on and it was a short walk up hill to everything else. Planning on staying here again.

Service was very friendly! Rooms were clean and sizeable. Loved the design of the rooms. Only complaint was the one slow elevator :)

The scenery, the service, the room, it was all so very incredible. This was one of the most comfortable places I have ever slept, and that was with a headcold. The room was beautiful and clean, will be back again for sure.

Loving it! Really cozy and rustic! Walking distance to everything you would want to see / historic site — less than 1km to Via Rail Train Station. Beautiful view of Ild Quebec-Old Port — of Quebec — Chez Louise restaurant attached great as well — atmosphere awesome: food even more — Chef is also joint owner — takes a lot of pride in his food — tried the $3 pate/terrine and the $3 cake with caramel marscapone and crumble of nuts with cafe allongé as I waited for room — husband samples different beer offerings :)

Very happy with my stay at the Port-Royal hotel. I like the décor, the beds are comfortable, the staff is nice and helpful. And what about the restaurant Louise! Menu very different, but oh how tasty! To try.

Rooms are clean and well equipped, however the floor is old and crackling. Nevertheless, the family still enjoyed the stay. The service is excellent.

Great hotel, but most of the great things are inside the walls, which can be a good walk, especially in the winter. The hotel is wonderful and modern, though.

Really average for the price, we found an insect in our bed… We were moved to room but it was very small and not as pretty as the pictures let it believe.

Very nice hotel, a remarkable cachet, my next getaway in Quebec… And yes it is at the Port Royal hotel and take the time to go to the tavern at Louise which is an integral part of the hotel. It's worth the trip, I've rarely been served as well. I don't figure the diner into stars, but diamond and at least 4. I don't know how many lines I can write here, but I could write one. Poems, stories about this restaurant. Beautiful!

Excellent service, very warm, rustic and clean hotel. Close to everything in Old Quebec. Aside from the Dispensieux parking, excellent stay!

The place was quite clean, the car park excessively expensive. The worst point is that the walls are cardboard. We got woken up all night by our neighbors or the elevator. It was very unpleasant. The price charged for the room being high, we expected better. The only really positive point is the location, right in the heart of Old Quebec.

Standard hotel room. Bed is comfortable, room is clean. Service is about average. The toilets are low flow, so it's weird to have to flush so many times.

Absolutely outstanding. The location is amazing, and the service is incredible. The hotel restauraunt is one of my top three favorite restauraunts on the planet. You won't regret staying here.

Great location! Deluxe suite was very nice and well equiped. However the floors seems to be quite thin as we heard footsteps above us constantly.

Stayed at the Port Royal Hotel for the week on business. This is my second time for business at this hotel. The rooms are fine with mini fridge and stovetop, microwave, etc. But they also have a great pub and restaurant that share a chef. Both are fun dining experiences. What is fun about this place though is the staff, especially in the pub/restaurant. They are super friendly and very accommodating but if you don't ask they can't guess… I have tried other hotels for business in old Québec City and this one is my favourite!

Really wonderful room. Unpretentious. Just was dissapointed with the plain boring free breakfast. Only the croissants were decent. At least have someone making fresh crepes with fresh berries and real whip cream. With real maple syrup. Mm Mmmm Mmmm.

The room was gorgeous. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Great valets and reception. The location is perfect, too. Really within walking distance of everywhere from Old Quebec to Saint-Roch. The real star for us was the Louise Taverne attached to the hotel. Best food we've ever had, and our server, Marie-Pierre, recommended all the wine and food we had, made sure everything was exceeding our expectations, and even helped me with my French. Just an overall perfect experience.

Very attentive, friendly. Clean, quiet room with cooktop, microwave, sink, dishes. Lots of lighting. Has a safe. Walking distance to all Old Quebec sites.

Old and full of charm. The lay out is odd and the rooms are not soundproof, it smells a little mouldy but all these things are to be expected when you book in an older building. The staff are nice, helpful and polite. The breakfast was good. Located at the botum of the hill it was nice to always finish the day going downhill.

I would travel back to Quebec City just to say at this hotel. The bed was super comfortable, The view was awesome, and the bathroom had heated floors. Loving it!

Hotel Port Royal. What could I say. The hotel location couldn't be in a better place fantastic. The room was so beautiful and spacious for all three of us woman. The complimentary drink hit the spot with excellent food from the hotel's restaurant. The staff are excellent in meeting our English language needs. Located in lower old Quebec this hotel I give 5 stars for excellence. Within 5 minute walking distance to the funicular, thé many héritage shops and delicious local foods. The local art and music was just mesmerizing from the moment we left the hotel. There is a cruise just located a cross the street from the hotel but My sister's and I were just to beat from all the land sight seeing that I am saving the boat ride for My next trip. My family will be booking there again and again every time we need to go through Quebec city on our way to our mom residence on the East coast peninsula.

Very modernized yet classy hotel with an extremely friendly staff. Perfect location for walking all around Old Quebec without being bombarded by tourists. Parking overnight is pricey; however daily parking in the hotel's small lot is free for customers. The connected restaurant/pub was under par and not very well maintained.

Super awesome room. Full kitchen, separate bedroom. Perfect family or couple or business visit. Can eat in or out. So much room. Best part is location, right in old downtown.

I had booked a reservation for a Deluxe Premier suite for the evening of Friday, Feb. 12. The hotel did not have my reservation on file when I checked in. I had to pull up my confirmation and email it to the front desk attendant. He told me the hotel was completely sold out and that they would have to find my friend and I different accommodations. This was Valentine's Day weekend and most hotels were already sold out and the temperature out side was a balmy — 12 Degrees Fahrenheit. It was a stressful situation since it was already going on 9:00p by the time the attendant found us different accommodations. When we arrived at the second hotel, it turned out that there was a miscommunication and they only had one queen size bed for my friend and I to share which was not alright with my friend, and since I originally booked for a 2 bed room suite. Since we were now going on 10:00p and I figured it was more important at this point to get a good night's sleep, we asked to be moved to a different hotel that could accommodate us properly. By the time we reached our hotel that we stayed at, it was going on 10:30p and too late to go out for dinner and experience the city at night. Our check out the next day was at 12p, so basically our 1 night in Quebec City (a life long bucket list item of mine) was a complete wash.

Both my fiance and I have stayed at this hotel twice and we love it. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. We love the location and the staff, and we love hanging out at the pub. We will definitely be staying there again. Great hotel!

So far so good… We have three nights and so far it has been a good first night. No real issues, other then a poor quality sofa bed…
