Very good service, very nice pool, very well appointed room but we were above the ventilations of the hotel and it was a snore all night. Pillows way too big to sleep.
We will however return to try the spa and sauna which were closed.

Rooms obviously were recently upgraded. They were very clean and comfortable to stay in. However with this new room comes serious issues the TV barely worked due and the in room internet did not work either. We had to call maintenance several times. They were never able to solve the issue till the next day. Really disappointed considering all the money we spent for a good hotel and not get good Wi-Fi.

Of three hotels we stayed in Canada i. E. Royal York (Toronto), Hotel Bonaparte (Montreal), and Chateau Laurier (Quebec) the latter in no way deserves more than three stars and three stars is a gift. Past the greeting at the desk at check-in which is less than warm we were provided neither direction to our room or assistance with our bags. Upon arrival at our room we discovered a space slightly large than the smallest anteroom with a wisp of a closet, and a bathroom about the size of guest bath in our home. Being with three other couple we also discovered either similarly sized rooms or smaller. And during our stay one couple's room was left ajar by the deadbolt and the TV left on — the couple didn't watch TV. When the front desk was informed they didn't even respond to the break in cleaning staff protocol, lack of security of the couple's room, or concern for the couple. The food for breakfast was adequate, but not close to the standard expected of a hotel of this quality. Our first breakfast determined our plans never to have any other meal within the hotel. When we return to Quebec, Chateau Laurier will not be on our list for extended accommodations — or any accommodations.

Very clean, visually attractive rooms. Great views of the city, and decent rooms available at reasonable prices. Staff were very friendly and helpful and support any tourists who are trying to practice their French while in Quebec. There’s a good size indoor pool and an outdoor hot tub open even in the winter with fantastic views of the cityscape. Great access to the old city and many tourist and historical attractions at just a short walk away. Several clubs and bars open late just down the street from the hotel.

Not at will ended up in this hotel. And I didn't like it! Old-fashioned design, torn sheets, smell. Bathroomaccessories (shampoo) were cheap. All in all, no more to this hotel with a foot!

This hotel has been my favourite for 10 years in Quebec City. I never go anywhere else again! In congress or leisure! Their location near the plains allows me a walk/race, the grand aisle offers us its many restaurants and breweries and we are a few steps from the gates! The food is always exceptionally good and presented with creativity, the inner courtyard a well-kept secret, their touch for the Francophonie distinguishes them but above all what makes the difference is the service! All the staff are always smiling it's remarkable! Special mention for the concierge service, the dedication of the valets and the accommodation manager with a big smile that spoils the guests every time! Thank you!

I was château Laurier Quebec City with my husband and my sister for two nights. The room I stayed is very clean very comfortable. We were very pleated by there welcoming, very professional at front desk and at bell desk if I got he’s name correct (Simeon) Who helped us with our luggage coming in or leaving the hotel it was very very helpful, very polite very energized happy to help any question we ask or direct us. Very knowledgeable about any question we asked him. Also he was Wonderful, delightful and happy to help us with directing us which restaurant to eat and we almost covered everything we want see. We are definitely go back the same hotel again with friend and family’s for a week.

We just had our dream wedding at the Chateau Laurier in Quebec City and we could not have been more impressed with the service and the quality of the hotel and staff. Our coordinator, Sophie, is simply the best. Very professional and warm with a great attention to the important details. We met with her in person and by phone (from Toronto) in the months and weeks prior and she ensured all the right preparations were accounted for pre, during and post the wedding. Our entire group of friends and family attended from out of town and stayed at this wonderful hotel (30 rooms) and they were all very satisfied with their stay. It was a busy time (during the big music festival) and despite this, everything was done well. The location was THE best place to be. The ceremony, the reception, the incredible food (! ) and amazing cake were all spectacular! So glad we made the right choice to select this venue. Our guests can't stop raving about the food and some gave our wedding a 12 out 10! A huge Thank You to the hotel staff (Sophie in particular) for everything you did to make our wedding so memorable! We would highly recommend this hotel as a Wedding venue and as a perfect place to stay to enjoy the beautiful Quebec City.

We had an emergency arise and had to call them 2 hours prior to leaving to reschedule our reservation that was not supposed to be cancelled or changed. They could not have been more accommodating and nice about it. When our new date came up and we got to the hotel our room was probably one of the nicest we ever stayed in (room 480) The location is perfect along the streets with many choices for restaurants. The concierge was SO nice and helpful. We then had to cut our trip one day short b/c of problems at work and they refunded us with no hassle and were so nice about that too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and will go back.

The sliding door for the bathroom in the new rooms is very problematic. It gets stuck when it is opened in full, and it is possible to lock it by accident from the outside by closing it.

We were staying two nights on a tour organized by the company. The group came out very happy in general for all the benefits of this hotel. The location, close to the old town, brings up its valuation. As unique it beats the rooms somewhat outdated. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very, very disappointed with my stay at your hotel, the service a big zero, incompetent staff for the pool so slippery and dangerous, only 1 room gown then booked for 2 and to finish I said at the reception we had not slept the night a noise Co Mrs. A jacuzzi that leaves at any minute, she hardly answers me! Never again Castle Laurier!

Hotel service is top notch. Bellman and concierge desk were always helpful and available. Location is just outside the old city wall and a ten minute walk to all the shops and restairants of Old Quebec. Decor is tired throughout although we did have a relatively new bathroom with heated floor and ceramic tile.

We were here on our honeymoon. Everything was fantastic. It's walking distance from all the don't miss places in the old city. There is no language barrier here. Overall quality and service is commendable.

Our flight was delayed and we booked here for the extra night. The service was great and we were able to check in right away. The room was pretty standard, but very comfortable. Some things that stood out to me were: the mending kit in the bathroom, soap/shampoo indispensers rather than bottles, a fairly large tub and an extra blanket in one of the drawers. We were visiting for the Carnaval and the hotel was located right in the action. There were ice sculptures, sugar shacks and activities just outside.

Close to Carnaval de Quebec events. Walking distance. Not far from VIA Rail. Can hear noise from outside. Noisy neighbors. Hair dryer did not work. Had two floors in our room which was neat but a bother to go to the washroom in the middle of the night. It was okay.

Great hotel. Small room, but we spent most of the time exploring the old city and attending Carnaval events. Conceirge service was excellent. All service in both English and French.

I had a great time there and kept fond memories including the concierge service where the person was charming.
Why the note then? Because the room not made, 2 extra dollars for hot chocolate at breakfast, the extra 4 dollars to have access to the hot table always at breakfast, all this does not seem worthy of a 4 star.

Great venue for a Christmas party. Very nice food and friendly, helpful staff. Didn't stay overnight but would definitely another time.

The room had a large space and a comfortable king size bed. The bathroom was nice except you couldn't cover the whole shower so the water splashed out a bit. We had a courtyard view which was not very nice. Lastly the cleaner knocked on our door twice in the morning to see if we were gone so it was a bit disruptive. But those were all little things. We had a lovely stay in the end.

Really loved this hotel. It's lovely. I loved that I could walk to Old Quebec in 8 minutes. It's steps away from beautiful restaurants. I would stay here again.

The staff is courteous and very efficient. Their knowledge of the city are excellent which is very convenient for us to go quickly and according to our tastes to the attractions sought. The rooms and suites are clean and comfortable, and valet parking available… I go down often at the Château Laurier, and I have not been disappointed until now. Great location, a few steps to the old town and good eateries. First class and squeaky clean rooms. Very nice and helpful staff. Rich Breakfast.
Breakfast unfortunately only up to exactly point ten o'clock. A family of three had been sitting at the side table for a long time. Another four family members, who arrived two minutes after ten o'clock for breakfast, were quite gruff from the dining room parcel shipped…

We booked a regular room with a queen-size bed online at the last minute, and were upgraded to a superior room in the new section at check-in. The staff was very friendly and always smiling. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a classy, affordable stay in a great city!

Great Hotel Comfortable Rooms.

Room 271 (August 24) was a bit bigger + but, (Aug. 27) was nice, too; well appointed and comfortable. We found the price of breakfast too high. $11.45 for Continental BF is too much; $6.99 for coffee and toast? Hot chocolate extra $2!? Crazy. We settled for coffee in our room. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay at the Chateau.

While the room is clean and spacious, and the location is very close to old town and the nearby museums there are some small problems with the hotel. Wifi is very slow and the signal didn't reach into our room. The front desk didn't seem to mind we could not get Wi-Fi saying it is how it is. Staff have been a mix of friendly and cool. The view is of an alley and condo next door despite promising either plains or garden view. The location mostly mattress up for these things.

Very large room, well organized with a small fridge, spacious bathroom. Parking (free for an electric vehicle) has 4 spaces with recharge from level 2 to $1 per hour. Little advice, take valet service for your EV and recharge is free. Despite the valet fees, you'll be a winner.

Wifi is not good. This should be better for the quality of hotel. It connects but comes in and out. It's very slow, my kids could not watch videos. Rooms were freezing, the air conditioning did not stop even when you turned it up. Other then that Theo lace is awesome with a great location. Be careful in the parking garage, super tight.

Had lunch overlooking the old city in a beautiful dining room. We had a preset menu as part of a tour. Great bread, I loved the salad of greens and root veggies but hubby didn't. My steelhead trout was very good, veggies not cooked enough or seasoned but very pretty. Apple tart was great. Iced tea was wonderful but expensive.

The hotel is conveniently located close to Old Quebec and lots of restaurants. We ended up here during the summer music festival, so it was quite busy. The staff we very friendly and helpful. We did book a standard queen room using an online booking site. When we checked in we were given a room in the older part that had a sitting room and and steep staircase up to the bedroom. We didn't feel this would be good for us (going up and down to the toilet at night etc), and no where did I see a description of a room that would be like this. We were accommodated in a different room, but had to pay extra as it was an upgrade. Overall we liked the hotel, but don't feel we should have had to pay extra because we didn't like the stairs in the room.

Lovely room in a great part of town. We had a superior king room. Bed is quite comfortable, the bathroom is large and we were quite comfortable. Room service is St Hubert restaurant, which is not appealing. Hotel is located right next to the plains of Abraham. Fantastic. Pool is nice but shallow. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops right next to the hotel. Would stay here again.

Perfect, I met my wife in this hotel, we got engaged here and are on our third trip here. The service has always been spectacular and the staff are incredible. We stayed in a newly renovated room on the 7th floor and it was amazing!

Overall, the experience was good but I would say the staff was not so kind. They provide the Wifi number for only one device. Also, the Wifi signal was so weak all the time, I couldn't use at my room at all. I went to front desk to change room, and the person answered I paid a cheaper room so I cannot change to any place. I would understand if the person said sorry and I cannot change room because there is no same grade room. But I don't think the answer was professional. Also, I think the "cheaper room" should be descriptive as "no Wi-fi". However, the furniture, cleanness, amenities and location. Everything was really good. I might stay there if I don't need to work.

Nice hotel with close proximity to restaurants, the Citadel, the Plains of Abraham, and so many attractions in Old Quebec. The staff were all very helpful and I really appreciated that they very readily spoke English for me. My only complaint is that the desk chair in the room was terribly uncomfortable. It was made to blend with the decor and not actually for use.

Beautiful room, great service. Me and my partner have had problems with the machine for wine that was included with our stay and his hurried staff to correct the Metro. Nice atmosphere, clean and beautiful view on the Plains for people having the chance to have.

Class, convenient, clean and comfortable. A little too big but no complaints, friendly and dedicated staff. Large rooms with King bed and spacious bathroom. A bit away from the centre but ideal on large driveway.

The TV volume in the room stopped working at 9pm and in the mornin I found out the blow dryer did not work in my room. Imagine my surprise at the latter especially since I was in town for a medical conference. No discount was offered to me at my check out. St Hubert's was good but be careful they charge 4$ room service fee AND include an automatic 15% tip in the bill.

Our favorite hotel when visiting old Quebec city. We bring people here whenever we have a Quebec city/Montreal bus tours and only one person, to my knowledge, have complained. The hotel location is what I like best. Recommended!

Honestly can say this hotel was pretty good. The room is a tad dated with decor and furniture, but the hotel had lots to offer. Great location to nearby restaurants, and close enough to old Quebec. The city was beautiful and was lucky to be there on a nice sunny day. The hotel has wine dispensers on separate floors, which I found quite unique and awesome! Didn't get to try the pool but it looked clean and nice. The staff was also very nice, professional, and spoke English. Unfortunately there is construction beside the hotel… Which really was the only downfall… They provided ear plugs, which was nice. I've been to many hotels who don't provide that.

Rooms were clean and modern, service was good. Did not need to speak French to get by. Price was good for the area whilst right in the middle of carnival and was literally a block away.

Room 314 remade to nine with a king bed. Very nice room in addition to receiving cheap (upgrade to a more conventional room with two "Queen"). I don't know what the 'old' rooms look like, but the renovations of the new wing where we are very successful. Bath massage in the room, beautiful bathroom to the tastes of the day, safe, parking with valet service, Internet wireless, lovely large fridge in the room which is a nice size. Well for my taste for about $270, 00 all inclusive…

I stayed here during a school trip to Quebec (and later Montreal). Since this was an organized field trip we basically only used the hotel to sleep (and buy snacks :P), and I didnt have a chance to use any of the other commodities (like visit the pool, the hotel's restaurant, or its spa), but for the stuff that I was able to experience, the hotel was amazing! The location was nice and not too noisy (while also being right near by all the major parts of the city), which was certainly a big help when I was trying to fall asleep after walking around the city for hours. The hotel room was also very nice, very big and for a hotel bed, the bed was quite comfortable. Another great thing about the hotel was the fact that it had a convenience store in it; certainly good for when it's late at night and you're hungry as sin. And the store was just a short walk away from the elevators, so it wasn't a hassle to get to. The staff was nice, and the main lobby felt like it belogned in one of those high end hotels that cost a thousand a night. My only problem was the bathroom; specifically, the shower. There must have been something wrong with the nob, as I couldn't turn the cold nob. In other words, all my showers were done under boiling hot water that made my scalp feel like it was melting off. This was a bit unfortunate, but I don't really fault anyone, and otherwise my stay was excellent. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel! Just, be sure to make sure the shower nobs are working.

The classy room I had was small and did not look like anything on their website. Antiquated. The main issue turned out room noise. Their 'ventilation system' mandatory to warm up the room, perhaps cool it, turns out to have 60 Db levels, or street level noise, with spikes to 80. Ear plugs will not help, frequency is too insidious. Without fan, it is les than 40 or les than a whisper. 40-60 is a high exponential sound difference. If you do not mind loosing sleep, try CL. Niveau de bruit ventilation pas acceptable a 60Db avec le ventillateur dans les murs, chauffage ou A/C. Chambre que on m'a donne pas du tout similaire a quiconque de leurs photos. Desuete.

Excellent experience. We took the romantic package which included dinner, breakfast, carriage ride and massage. It was not inexpensive but it was great. Hotel staff extremely friendly, Concierge excellent, location excellent and King room was spacious and clean.

The Château Laurier offers a lot of advantages if we want to be good, restaurants-old Quebec — Plains. The place is beautiful, quiet and the service always extremely efficient and courteous. There are a lot of small + (wine bar, restaurant and convenience store) and for business stays all included (Wi — Fi).

Great place to stay since it was walking distance to almost everything we wanted to do in Quebec City. Particularly amazing during summer since it faces a large field that hosts music festivals and such. Probably not the most quiet hotel if you're looking to get away form it all, but it's the most convenient access to nightlife, etc. From our room, we got to see many concerts on the jumbotron and enjoyed all the music. Rooms are compact, but they do use the space well. Even though our AC broke down because of fires in a western region, the hotel staff were great and brought us a fan. Internet access isn't free, but a pro tip is that the hotel's restaurant doesn't actually cut you off after two sessions, so abuse the heck out of that. If you're more rules-abiding, you can use the two free terminals in the lobby. The hot tubs on the roof are a little hard to find, but that just means less people to compete with.

Stayed 4 nights Room was very small with only a Double bed not the Queen it was supposed to be It was clean and relatively quiet — our room was across from the elevator My biggest peeve is that Internet was not free and priced out of this world I don't know why some hotels still charge for internet access and at prices that are ridiculous The best part was proximity to the Old City and the price was reasonable. Plenty of good restaurants near by (walking distance) TV was terrible — the volume control would not go higher than 50% and couldn't hear a thing.

Cons: Extremely overpriced Tiny room (we mean really tiny, with small old bathroom; double bed) Old furniture, cheap interior looks $20 per day parking ($14 per day right next to the hotel self parking is available, which the staff member didn't tell us about) Bar closed at 9pm (! ) on Christmas day (hotel is for tourists, we come to spend our money here. Is this hotel in business for profits or what? ) Wi-Fi $15 per day (! ) or $5 per hour No shampoo. Instead of regular spa sets, here you will find only cheap soap to use (! ) (they save money on everything, fail to provide a better service) Towels with holes! Cheap no name TV Pros: Location Pool, sauna and outdoor spa Friendly staff Its a good 2 star hotel! If you haven't booked — book somewhere else.
