Quaint hotel in an excellent location. Very steep stairs, pastries only for breakfast, horrible parking and no coffee available in the room or in the hotel after breakfast. Chain hotels are a far better value.

This is a must stay place. The historic attributes mixed with modern touches like Wi-Fi were great. The location is close to everything and the manager was the most wonderful host.

My coinjointe and I liked the atmosphere, being welcome and the rooms are to see. Chalheuteux and comfortable. You have to see if you like antiques well assembled so that you will be at rest. It's a quiet corner. They accommodate us with the parking only for the lodgings of the surroundings. We had spent a weekend without fear of comfort and travel.

Lovely owners, quiet area close to everything. Comfy and clean, historic. Lack of amenities, though if you ask they are more than helpful. Thin walls if the neighbors are up and about, and they need black out curtains.

Very good rooms. If going to be picky the water temperature seemed to fluctuate when showering. Beside that I can't find any issues… Regarding the location it is very good. It's a brief walk to all important stuff. Service is where the hotel shines. The host is amazing. Rarely I've seen someone as dedicated to customer satisfaction. Awesome experience in a great town!

Great little hotel in a restored Victorian house. The ladies that run it add to the warm feeling of the place. You will feel right at home. Tip: ask the staff to see the luggage elevator!

Amazing historic site. Wonderful staff that was always friendly and willing to help make the experience better day after day. Greeted you with a "hello" and "have fun" whenever we came or went. We stayed for 9 nights and never felt as if we were forgotten.

Very nice. Comfortable room Staff speaks English. Steps were a little tough but we seemed to manage. Would stay again if I could come back to Quebec.

We just spent three days here and we couldn't have been more pleased. The ambiance, furnishings, location and gracious hospitality were all exceptional. I cannot wait to visit Quebec City again and would return to Hotel Cap Dismantle without a doubt.

Beautiful room at a reasonable price. Located near enough to the downtown area as well. Very friendly bilingual staff too.

Great location, good prices, breakfast is a little weak, and the bathrooms are waaaaay too small. But otherwise, a great business.

This is not a Hilton or a Hyatt. It is a unique little hotel that is off the beaten path in the old city, but it is walking distance to practically everything. Our room was spacious and well furnished. There was a light breakfast provided every morning and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The young lady working the front desk even helped me find a dentist in Quebec that could speak English and see me on short notice.

I'm sorry the two previous posts disliked their stay at the hotel because we thoroughly enjoyed it! We were greeted late at night by the owner who owns and has lived in the hotel for 40 years! She stayed up waiting for us, past front desk hours (we drove from PEI) and was so sweet and helpful. She provided parking, even during the busiest weekend of the summer. The hotel was charming, and the rooms were spacious. We had a fireplace, hidden TV in the armoire, and ac. The bathroom was small and the sink outside in the main room. It didn't bother us because we wanted to stay in an interesting, historic building with all those funky quirks that occur when you turn a nearly 300 year old, single family home into a modern hotel. A light breakfast was provided each morning, and coffee available all day. There was a backyard garden that was well kept too. They helped us store our bikes in the basement and pointed out the best areas to eat and shop. It was clear to us that the owner and staff took great pride in keeping the hotel beautiful, and guests comfortable. When we plan to return to QC we hope to stay there again.

Very bad place. No service, there are so many other places around, just pick another one. Very rude employees. I hated it.

It is true that it is a nice hotel, good location in old quebec. But the price of the room for such service is a bit exaggerated. A double room for 2 nights in September is $390 including taxes. It is better to take a hotel of the same standard a bit outside old Quebec, take the bus or walk about 1/4 of an hour and pay at least 2 times less for the same quality of service.
In addition, breakfast means the price paid.
So I would recommend for people older than for young couples.
