There was no service since it’s no contact, but everything was great. I would just add more coffee, tea bags (I know whiney). Wish I could make ice too.

Impeccable room! It’s so stylish and spacious and clean. We had everything we needed and more. The space was so nice that I kept taking pictures. Customer service was prompt to answer my emails. It’s a minute away from one of Mtl’s most popular cafes and there’s restaurants right downstairs. The only thing I noted and it’s not really a complaint is that there were three pillows and only one was good to sleep on.

Charming boutique hotel with kind staff, in an excellent location. Our family room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Every employee we encountered was warm, kind, and helpful. The parking was a major bonus. Wonderful experience in every way!

Excellent experience! Very immaculate and the furnishings, fixtures, appliances looked like they were brand new, in a large, modern apartment, within an old and historic building. They obviously take pride in it! Extremely convenient location right in the heart of Vieux Montreal; lots of shopping, great restaurants, directly across the street from the port, and just steps away from Rue St. Paul and points of interest. Our streetside room overlooked the port and was very quiet, with a view. I called with a question before our stay and the gentleman was very courteous and helpful. Price was very reasonable. As it is still off-season (mid-April) I'm not sure if any of this would be different during summer peak. Yes, you need to park off-site as you would anywhere else in old Montreal, but the Grand Quay parking is right across the street, very safe and convenient and at $35 CD for 24 hours, very reasonable. Yes, this is an "AirBnB — type accommodation" where you need to make your own bed and hang up your own towels, as some have stated. But this was right up there as one of the top AirBnB experiences I have ever had! Our kids and friends rented an AirBnB in the building right next door, and our place was sooo much nicer, cleaner, modern than theirs (was very run down) and I am very glad we chose to book this one. I truly can't say enough good things about our experience, highly recommend it and will definitely look to stay here again on any future trips to Montreal!

It’s more like a service apartment. No service but that is exactly what I want. The location is excellent! The rooms are nice, clean, comfortable, modern decor, European minimalist, spacious.
If you want housekeeping, concierge, etc. 24x7, this is not the place. Otherwise, I really shouldn’t have told you! 😊

We had a very lovely stay in a perfectly convenient location. The apartment is within walking distance of many restaurants, clubs, and tourist attractions. However, I would not recommend it for families with young children due to the semi-loud nightlife nearby. My only suggestion would be to consider installing darker, light-canceling shades and less thick pillows for better sleep quality. Despite this, it was definitely a great stay for us, and we look forward to returning.

I stayed here for the week and I cannot say enough how great it is! The location is absolutely unbeatable in the heart of Old Montreal, overlooking the old port along Rue de la Commune, you won't find a better location.
The apartments themselves are fresh, clean, warm (v important in January and February) and spacious. I chose a river view and it's worth it for sunrise! The amenities are great; if you're staying longer there is a fridge, cooking utensils and dishwasher.
The communication with the staff is very good, they're responsive and helpful and do go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay.
I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Montreal.

— IGA is only ten minutes walk away.
— Safe, clean, bright, and spacious.
Cons:
— Memory foam pillows are not for me, may be ok for others, if that's a big thing for you then bring yours from home. That's the only con I can think of!
Brilliant!

We absolutely loved our stay. 100/10 beyond perfection. This location was within 10 min walking distance to lots of museums, art galleries, shopping, restaurants and many other attractions. The price was very fair for all the space and amenities included. I appreciated the staff was very kind to us. I really liked how safe and comfortable and our family we felt. They send you the password you need to enter the building and your room in a email so make sure to check.

Beautiful loft in a great location, close to restaurants, pubs, shops and other attractions in Old Montreal. Owner/host is very communicative and gracious. Will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Montreal.

Ranks among top 5 hotels I've ever stayed in. Quiet, safe and spacious. The owner was available if you needed within moments. The location was central to many local attractions, restaurants and shopping. The rooms were clean and well taken care of. The smart locks were a good touch. The bed was a little firmer than I prefer but it was managable and I had no issues. The parking recommendation worked out perfectly could see my vehicle in the parking structure with phone camera if necessary. Just recommended to a friend prior to writing this review and anytime we travel to Montreal this is our preferred place to stay. Thank you Daniel for your hospitality.

We absolutely adored our stay at Hotel Place Royal. The apartment was spotless, bright and cheery, a beautiful mix of historic old Montreal and modern amenities. The location couldn't have been more perfect. We were right in the old city, steps away from everything, looking out through the big beautiful windows right on to the waters of the old port. And our host was fantastic. He went above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable and had all that we needed. He was hospitable and welcoming and the place was cozy and joyful. We will return on our next trip to Montreal, definitely.
