No hot water. Their response was to wait 8 minutes because it was cold outside. We live in Montreal — it’s cold most of the year, yet I have instant hot water at home. I washed my hair and did the dishes for much longer than that, and the water never even turned warm.
I paid $2, 000 for one night to celebrate my birthday. Before check-in, they required a deposit through a platform other than Airbnb, with two options:
• $350 non-refundable (covers up to $650 in damages)
• $1, 000 refundable.
I chose the $1, 000 option since I had no intention of damaging the property. They later refused to refund it, claiming I had too many guests.
The place has 17 bar chairs and multiple couches — you could easily fit 100 people. I had around 23 guests total, and only 4 stayed overnight (including myself). I left the place spotless and checked out on time, yet they still refused to return my deposit. Airbnb couldn’t help since the deposit was paid on another platform.
Overall, this place is only suitable for events, not for a cozy or comfortable stay. The fan is also very loud.

If you post a negative review they will offer you financial compensation to remove the review. The service and product they offer is by far the worst hotel I have stayed at in Montreal. I recommend looking at alternatives before booking here.

I'm an older middle aged man, a frequent traveler and reviewer. This place was fantastic. Checking in through their links was seamless. I had great help from their support team as well. The king bed suite my wife and I booked was beautiful. It had all that we needed. It was clean and spacious. Great shower and bathtub. We honestly couldn't ask for more. The neighborhood was great. Restaurants at our doorstep, an atm and convenience store was nearby as well. I'll definitely use and recommend Simplissimo again next time I'm in Montreal.
