Glendale welcomed us pleasantly and was very thoughtful! He made it sure our rooms are beside each other and we loved it!

Everything staff, cleaning, food, services, all r satisfying plus the location is very good.

Great hotel and lovey service upon check in and up to my room. I went for dinner down on the lobby level and the service was excellent and as a single diner the attendant was engaging and at a perfect amount. Food was delicious as was the wine menu. Highly recommend It and will stay again often.

Although the motel rooms, service etc were great upon check in. Being woke up at 7am to renovations in a room either beside or above us was not impressive. It was so loud it was as if they were working in our room. Upon calling the desk and receiving apologies and comments saying this should not happen my husband was then passed to the manager who in turn did not apologize but stated “ we are allowed to start work at 7 am”. The work continued until at least 830 am. Upon check out we were offered complimentary breakfast. Uhhh no what I would of liked to do was sleep past 7 am, just because they are allowed to start work at this time does not make it right that they did! In the end only received 40$ off our room which was 265$. Overall unsatisfied.

Stayed sev times, 1st I was given a pullout Bed to sleep on. Not impressed will rethink my choices for next trip.

We loved the Chateau Champlain our Honeymoon 47 years ago as nice as last Valentines Day Fe. 14, 2018 we are going back! Can’t wait! Staff are so nice Restaurant Bar perfect Location awesome handy to the Train!

Built 51 years ago, still deliver a decent experience. The high floor rooms have a wonderful view thanks to the large particular shape of the windows. Staff is a mix. Good reception and excellent floor service. Terrible concierge, and extremely disappointing inexistent SPG recognition, and, if this is what we get from the Marriott merge, better to go to Intercontinental. Breakfast disappointing to, more quantity than quality. Sadly (as the premises really have something special) I will not recommend it as there are better options in the city that for the same price that, offer a better level of service.

Downtown is under construction but the noise is not overwhelming in the hotel. Everyone I have dealt with so far has been kind and helpful. I love the windows aand the ease of finding the hotel. Many restaurants within walking distance.

Great location with access to the Metro Bonaventure station via elevator from the lobby. Hotel is a little dated and in need of renovation. But the bed, pillows, and linen were of great quality. The pool was too small to swim laps in, but the gym was decently equipped. Service was top-notch and staff was friendly and responsive.

I stayed here from July 15th to July 19th 2018. The staff was very nice, friendly, and helpful. The female bartender who was working the evening of July 15th at Bar Le Senateur was very nice and friendly to me. She told me her name, but unfortunately I can not remember. The doorman upon my arrival was very nice, along with the Front Desk Associate who checked me in, the concierge who recommended the right bus tour to go on, and the housekeeper who was on the 27th floor were all very nice and gave great guest service. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who plans on visiting Montreal.

Starting to look a little old but still a good place to stay. Room was exceptionally clean but bathroom was tired and in need of renovations. Bed was very comfortable though. This property has restaurants, conference rooms and a pool. There is also a Starbucks in the lobby as well. Only negative is the lack of handicap accessibility to enter. The only ramp is off to the side and not visible from the main door. It was most annoying to have to lift my bags up the stairs.

Smooth check-in, good gym and overall good amenities. The pool has an odd shape, but is good for what I need it for. There was a lot of construction around (summer of 2018) so it was loud in the morning. Overall a good stay.

My list that typically makes a hotel good that this hotel also did right: Conveniently located to many restaurants and event locations. Shower had good pressure. Hot water. Bed was firm. Decent sized rooms. Quiet. Check in and check out were good. Key worked. What didn't work was the TV in my or my friend's room. I didn't care to have it fixed but it should have worked when I got there.

In close proximity to the shops, restaurants and nightlife of downtown Montreal, the Chateau Champlain is an excellent choice! The rooms are a decent size and are a mix of old world and modern decor. The staff is very friendly and the concierge was amazing! She took the time out to give us a map and highlight the must see sights. There is an in house restaurant as well as some shops, spa and gym. Also it sits right on top of the Metro (subway) which you can take an elevator down to, so getting around is perfect!

The whole experience was wonderful. Rooms were very clean. The bathroom was very small but the bedroom is quite large. The housekeeping were very helpful. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful with sightseeing tips. The hotel is centrally located to be able to go just about anywhere you would like to visit.

This is a nice hotel, but outdated a bit. My colleague had a dirty towel one evening in the bathroom and the bath fesait a funny noise.

Excellent service. Nice lounge. Charming decor albeit a bit dated. Decent rooms — although they could use some modernization. Did I mention how great the service was?

Great downtown location. Very classy room with elegant furnishings with just the right modern touches. Internet was great and the concierge club very nice. Rooms are very comparatively price. I'll go back next visit.

The ballroom's getting old. We were there for a Christmas party. The service at the table was a little rough.

Hotel is clean, customer service is great. For people who didn't bring a credit card for the room. You could use a debit card. There is a 100 dollars deposit. But you do get it back when you check out. Breakfast is pretty good. I enjoyed the breakfast there, plenty of variety.

Excellent location if you are planning to attend an event at the Bell Centre. Easy access from the train station. You can take the tunnels to both and not have to deal with the bad weather outside. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have a view. The staff are friendly and helpful in giving directions or suggestions for fun activities. Because of the excellent experience I had this trip, I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Attended an event at the Bell Centre so it was the perfect location. Wasn't too far of a walk from shopping or restaurants. Good service from staff. However, the hotel is a bit dated. The rooms are nice enough but for the price it should be updated.

Perfect for office parties. The room is very beautiful. However the menu was very limited.

We booked here not realizing that the metro ran below with a stop at the hotel. It was nice to be able to go to the lobby and then just 1 floor below to access the trains. It also provided access to the underground city of Montréal and the malls. We chose a city view with a king bed and the room was updated and good size for 2. My husband had arranged for a delivery of chocolate covered strawberries and wine to help celebrate my birthday. The concierge was helpful and full of information. There is a Starbucks in the lobby but it is not open in the evening. We had breakfast included and it was a full hot breakfast bar.

We received a very courteous service as soon as we arrived. The hotel is located directly on the subway system which is a big plus in cold weather. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The view of the room on the city is beautiful. The hotel is of a certain age and the age begins quietly to be felt but the place remains still more than good.

We reserved 3 rooms for a family getaway. We were able to check-in early in order to do some shopping. From the hotel, one never needs to step outside to get to the shopping malls or the train station. Very handy when the weather outside was at the minus 35 mark. Enjoyed our stay in clean, warm rooms.

A good hotel but it lacks some maintenance to the general facilities and to the rooms, even to the suites.

Good hotel. Clean. Good mattress. Good shower. Good towels. Quiet. Not hard to keep me happy. Better than average hotel breakfast and bar.

Wonderful experience. Great location. The staff are helpful with getting where you need to go. There is always a few taxis out front if you need one. Yes. I am planning a return visit.

Rooms are comfortable, hotel staff is generally very helpful. They were booked solid when I was there and I was unable to get late checkout. They also had removed the mini bars from our room.

This hotel is in a very convenient location a block from the central train station and Bell Centre and within walking distance to many attractions. It was built in the 60s so the layout and decor are a little dated. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was on 25th floor with a nice view of downtown.

I loved this hotel. Great location. We could walk to lots of attractions and restaurants, it was near main roads, and there is a metro stop under the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful.

A luxurious taste of Montreal Golden age area from the last century. There is something special about walking in this hotel with its rich/imposing decor. The location is perfect if you have business downtown or for overnight train travelers. High floor rooms provide an exceptional view on Montreal and I particularly like the view in rooms 1 to 5 on each floor. The rooms are very clean and usable/practical. Note the rooms are as well preserved as I think they could have been but a refresh would definitely help support the premium price the hotel is asking for.

I stayed overnight at the Marriott Chateau Champlain. The room on the 28th floor offered a great view of Montreal. The courteous service, the quality of the facilities and the small attentions make this hotel a place of great class.

Location is perfect! Rooms are beautiful and beds are comfortable. We requested no service in the rooms, but they came by politely to ask if we needed anything at all as we were staying for 4 nights.

Great Location Near the city center and the old city. The hotel is celebrating it's 50th anniversary. The staff and especially the concierge staff are great. The rooms are nice but the bathroom is extremely small. Try to stay on a higher floor overlooking Mont Royal and the city.

The hotel looks old, but rooms are modern enough, with a comfortable bed and clean toilet (the bed was a little too soft for my liking but I still sleep well despite the jet lag). As I was in Montreal for a conference I did not manage to do much sightseeing so I can't comment much on the location. That said, location seemed fairly good and was within walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Very comfortable room. Excellent food. There's a Starbuck downstairs for some good coffee and a great shop.

First: you will be blown away by the panoramic views you have in your room. The curved windows give you a nearly 180 degree view over downtown Montreal. Spectacular! The bed was super comfy, but overall the room needs to be renovated. There's a shower curtain!

This hotel is grand and beautiful. Service is exceptional and the rooms are clean. Parking is steep — 25 a night without the availability to move it for the day. Next to everything necessary to have a good night out. And walking distance to many cafes, bars and restaurants amd boutiques.

Great hotel in downtown Montreal. Clean, well-kept, and a beautiful lobby. There is a Starbucks and convenience store on the other side of the bar in the lobby and there is an elevator that takes you to the metro. The only thing that stinks is the hours of the Starbucks is not that long on weekends. I still consider it a 5-star regardless.

I always stay at Marriott properties wherever I am in the world. Had never stayed at the Chateau Champlain property but it is fu — ing awesome. The staff are unbelievably kind, accommodating, ha dome and beautiful I have absolutely loved my week here.

A little retro but strategic structure to visit the city view its very central location.

Great location with the metro just an elevator away! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was nice Nd bed comfy. The room was a bit tired though. The tub had a couple giant chips, and the bathroom counter yet front was looking rough. Great view and breakfast buffet is really good.

If I could rate this a negative I would. Room was dirty, bed was dirty, used soap bars in the washrooms (for 2 days and 2 room cleans before actually listening to me asking for it to be removed), horrible door staff, unfriendly desk staff — just really really really bad hotel — should not be given a Marriott name. Want a good experience, pay the few dollars extra and stay at the Loews — — they're yet to disappoint. I can't stress enough how bad this hotel is.

$305 for a night it's expensive tab… k for the quality of the room I had. The beds are not comfortable. Can not use the fridge. Unless you buy a mini bottle has $10. HA! parking $25 but you can't take it back unless you pay another $10 in any case if you take the royal suite his could worth 4 stars.

I'm Mauritian and I prepared a family trip in Montreal for a few months. I was a party to know the Canada. However the fact deplorable home a Marine Le Pen by a few Canadian and hotels Mariott and Sheraton made that I canceled my trip. I'm just a drop of water in an ocean of resistance but I wanted a kick in front of these practices of another age on your part.

Beautiful downtown hotel with metro access and a central location. City view is worth asking for. Well maintained rooms, attentive staff, and plenty of stuff nearby to do. Nice bar as well! Probably my Montreal hotel of choice!

Great hotel! While it was a bit further away from some of the more active areas of the city it was still within walking distance to most things including old Montreal. Great location and a friendly staff! Also their breakfast buffet is worth every penny.

A chance that the pool is heated! No spa, family activity at the hotel, failed! Frigidaire $30! Empty liquor machines… Menu for children very restricted. Menu for adults also… However, the staff is impeccable! For the price, next time I'll go elsewhere!

I was there to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. The location was easy to find and have fairly easy access to local shopping district. Rooms are very spacious compare to most modern rooms. The attendence/associates are very helpful.

Beautiful hotel with in-building access to the Montreal STM (metro) and Bell Center and also within walking distance of many great downtown restaurants and shops. Hotel and room were clean and updated offering nice amenities at a great cost. Did I mention it is right on the metro!

The rooms are expensive, but nice and offer a nice seen. Great location near the train station and walkable to ste-catherine Street and everything remotely boutiques.

Stayed two nights in August… very nice rooms with a great view. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to Old Town and Downtown. Great stay!

My wife and I enjoy at this Marriott. It's a great location (quiet) but you can be within serious action meaning great dining and entertainment within a 20 minute walk. It's a clean, well run hotel. It's an older hotel but very elegant.

Very professional, busy, and well-run hotel in the northeast of Montreal. While things run well, and the rooms and interior are definitely more "traditional" or "classic" than modern. If you're looking for a hip new hotel, this might not be a good fit. If you're looking for an excellent place to stay, with amazing staff and a great location, this place is for you. The restaurant is OK, but not great. Very expensive, and lackluster in every meal, meaning if you're tired and want to dine in, you'll be a bit disappointed. The pool, like the decor, could do with an upgrade. I'd be more pleased if it were a bit cheaper to stay here. Some renovations could make this hotel THE place to stay in Montreal, but for now it's a decent one of many.

Good location. But poor breakfast. I've never seen this kind of breakfast with this price. And the parking lot is very uncomfortable.

9/2/2015. Room 2303. Room has good view. But the beds are not comfort for two, Booked and paid online a room with 4 adults and two double beds. When checked out the next day the hotel charged me $74 more because the room limit to 2 adults (! ) That morning one of the guest checked out just before me got the same argument. Why charged more when someone online books a room with 4 adults and the price is there for you to agree upon. What wrong with the the big name hotel that make people feel cheated. My family of 4 traveled few times a year but never feel cheated like this one. NEVER come back to this hotel.

Enjoyed our 4 night stay — front desk and concierge VERY friendly and helpful. Our room was clean. Free Wi-Fi in the room, though signal was weak. Short walk to Chinatown, old Montreal, trains and underground city.

Very nice lady at the check-in, very nice rooms and an overall nice hotel! Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Easy walking distance to the Bell Centre, pubs, restaurants, train station, shopping, etc. What more could one ask for. I am picky to where I stay and this has met my standards and I would think most others as well! Free hot/cold buffet breakfast too.

Stayed here last new years eve. Older hotel but the staff was A1 and extremely helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
