I had the best experience here at this place it was more like home then a hotel. Everyone was nice, kind and helpful. I found love in Montreal. I am coming Back Everything was clean and the breakfast was very good I give think a 100 star ⭐️ rating Thanks you all who made this stay wonderful. I made really awesome friends. To Jane and Ali you both made me laugh again and do helpful. You Good people.

A little far away from the city center, but the subway station it's in a distance of 15 minutes. The hotel is a little old. Good relation between price and quality. A basic breakfast but with all you need.

Hotel located far from the center in a "dodgy" area. Small room, neglected and not too clean. Breakfast included poor. I don't recommend it.

Stay away from this place. Weird odors from the entrance to the bedroom, so much that we did not have breakfast there, too stinky! Furnitures look like they were purchased at a garage sale, electrical outlets are not covered and don't look safe to use, walls are dirty, floor is so dirty that my white socks were brown and full of hair after only 30 minutes in the room. Towels in the bathroom have stains. I don't know how they got a 4 star review, they must have made that up, I would give no stars but I had in order to add a review. Not worth $98/night, the neighbourhood is not great, this place needs a serious renovation.

Somewhere between a B&B and a small hotel. Family run, nice people. Close to bus stops. Unable to adjust your own room temperature.

The hotel is very well located in the city centre of Montreal.
The lack of cleanliness, the deplorable condition of the room as well as the very rustic bathroom made us regret our choice.
What has been the most exasperated to us is the discovery of our non-closed room door when returning from a day of sightseeing and a Wi-Fi included in the price but only working very little.
I strongly recommend this place.

The photos had nothing to do with what we saw. Very old, outdated and filthy. Needs upgrade and renovation immiediately. Look at the pictures. They used an screw for the missing handle! The Jacuzzi worked probably 5 years more than its lifetime. There was no shower in the bathroom. Bathroom was not separated to the room except a very tiny small room for the toilet, separated from the rest of the bathroom. Washroom and toilet were too old too. Not clean at all neither. Worst experience ever.

I won’t stay here again. It’s very basic, no kettle in the room and it wasn’t the cleanest. Needs some updating and it’s not worth the price. There’s no air conditioning, so don’t stay here in the hot Montréal summer. The location is a little rough but it’s on a bus route and only a $15 cab to Downtown. The staff was friendly, but check in took forever and was unorganized. The bathroom was updated and the tub was fantastic, but the cheap towels and toilet paper left something to be desired. All in all if they made a few changes to small annoyances, it would make a huge difference. As it is we were disappointed for $111 a night.

First of all, it was falsely advertised on expedia as a huge sale (reduced priced by 60% for a last minute reservation) and I actually paid the usual rate as any other day. The outdoor is locked. Need keys to enter and good luck getting the attention from reception on checking in! The guys are honestly friendly and nice. But the room is a disaster. Tiny unclean room, the manager told me they are completely sold out but I don’t think that is a valid reason. The room DOES NOT look like the picture on Expedia at all. Very hot we sweat till we asked the management to turn off the heat. The breakfast is very basic. No hot foods. Only few nice pastries. The place seems historic and beautiful. They need to improve their services if they want people to return (maybe hire another maid and have at least 10am-11pm reception) The location is perfect in between everything to be honest, and they offer free parking on and around the property.

Very small Parking, narrow room, very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast OK.

Second time staying in the Getaway Romance Suite. Love the owners, love the hotel. Location is a short drive in any direction to anything. Great value!

The price is very affordable. And it has a good location as well as including breakfast. Is. A very good choice for the Prexio.

Clean place. Breakfast included but Yen had not! The stairs outside are icy! Parking complicate the snow. Very courteous staff.

No access to heating so Jai slept with my stockings and a big jacket no hot water in the tiny shower. Bathroom door closed not well, crowded reception the next morning's lunch trail in the hallway, 3-4emplacements parking only transparent store so woke up early.

We will definitely be back! Rooms were clean and had high ceilings. Family run business, amazing friendly staff. Breakfast was very basic, don't expect more than some pastries and cereal. Just an honest, clean and friendly place we highly recommend a long as you aren't looking for frills or fancy. Reminded us of a hostel for families as the travelers were all friendly.

The room is too small. No microwave. The washroom is very small. No space to put toiletory. Heater is too noisy. A very small hotel with very little facilities.

Our stay was quite disastrous. Dilapidated rooms, inadequate heating system (on froze) poorly maintained corridors. Lunch included saved (a little) the bet) I advise against.

Never going back to this place — charge me $600 for not even checked in — beware of the lady at reception — after reading the reviews from people I am glad that I didn't stay here — people's car broken in — all of these good reviews are probably fake — this isn't hotel — it's old home changed into some kind of hotel with with poor customer service — never recommending to stay here ever — I hope she will loose more than $600 that she charged me — scam people work here — don't go here — you will find other reasonable places in montreal better than this place. Worst place to stay in better to find some where else where you feel safe not in this getto area with poor custome r service.

Basic and clean room. Don't expect fancy though. Breakfast is basic with different types of pastries, cereal and coffee. Free parking is a plus. Easy bus access to downtown or a 15 min walk to the metro.

Excellent value for this hotel a bit dated but that has a certain charm. Sherazade the owner is in the small care (she even conveyed us for free). The room was very clean as well as the bathroom. The breakfast is a bit too simple as it lacks eggs, cheese and fresh fruit. This is an ideal hotel for families with children for a tight budget.

Location was good, hotel decor was lovely and rooms are clean. The patio / balcony on the second floor was very cute and view was great. Owners were very friendly and nice. However, the air conditioning unit was quite noisy and continental breakfast didn't even have boiled eggs.

Great Service, well kept family run business. Clean, towels, toilets, shower, bed, room in general. Location is a 3 minute taxi ride to berry. Decent Wi-Fi. Thank you for taking me in on last minute notice.

$150 for a room the walls covered with plaster, lipstick and other stuff… No washcloths no service either. Blinds Half of the window so 5 hrs of the mat everybody up! Entrance filled with dirty filth with an unpleasant odor. Not really parking included, not seen lunch… In short, disgusting is messy.

Worst place. My brother booked a place a day prior to my arrival. He felt the room wasn't so nice and wanted to be polite so he made up an excuse to check-out on the same night. He requested for a refund for the next day where he was told that they will try their best to rent the room to other guest to be able to provide a refund. I have never seen a hotel where they hold your money for the next night and only providing a refund as a condition for them to rent out the room to someone else. Also, I have called and was told to call the next day cause she is busy. I will never ever go to this hotel as it is so unprofessional and good thing my brother has left the place to go to a much better hotel.

Before we found this hotel, we had decided to try different hotels every night in order to chose the best one for our future trips to Montreal. We had already tried others and needless to say; after the first night, we decided that we were not going to look elsewhere as both the price and the quality were great. Roomy, comfortable, and extremely clean. Not to mention their great attitude and high level of hospitality and caring to details. We truly felt at home; that is how friendly and family-like the staff and specially the owners were. We highly recommend it.

I just want to say to all the people that think this hotel wasn't great your wrong! The lady at the hotel, Shaharazad, she's absolutely amazing and she feels like family! She was so helpful, kind, sweet, caring, and loving! Me and my family stayed there for 2 days, and I have to say I love her to death! ❤️️ She feels like family to me and I asked her if I could take her home as a souvenir and she said… " that's the sweetest thing, nobody's ever said that to me! " I will always cherish and love her and keep her in my heart! Don't ever talk bad about this hotel bc she tries a lot and provides so much joy.

Amazing place, so much charm and oozing character, would definitely stay there again if in Montreal. The hosts were so friendly and attentive, nothing bad to say at all.

No parking per se, no possibility to cut the ventilation in the room, second hand establishment dated, average breakfast, the shower is very small and the dark curtain does not help to see clear, small room, sloping floor with day under The door, non-existent soundproofing, cordial reception and clean hotel.

Disgusting, the owner has an attitude. The place is falling apart. Does not look like the family room that we booked on Hotels dot com. When I called to inquire about parking, I was advised that they had a parking lot. Not the case, they have enough space to park 5-7 cars… Your parked in like sardines. Other wise you have to park on the side street. Nothing in the neighbor hood for coffee, or meals. No coffee pots in the room. Bedside laps did not work, ceiling fan was super dirty (gross). The beds were not comfortable… The complimentary breakfast was nothing to write home about.

The grounds are not well maintained and the neighborhood is full of homeless people and junkies. But the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. No alcohol is allowed in the room and there are NO restaurants nearby to walk to after dark.

Room is wonderful if you get a superior room. Recommend a vehicle as it is a little far away. It is very cozy but they turned the AC off (it came on in the middle of the night). But everyone is pleasant. Pretty cute but small room.

Decent for a short business stay in downtown Montreal. Bathroom is tiny, but clean in general. Central heating and air conditioning. TV is very small and Wi-Fi suffers from chronic interruptions though not for hours, just minutes. Breakfast is included and served effectively after 8am. You may help yourself with a piece of bread and tea overnight. Parking was not a problem. The building is old and looks old but the owners and the staff are nice and helpful. If you are not too picky this place is fine.

There's really no reason to stay here. Hostels give you more for less. Walls were paper thin, could hear people coughing in the next room over. Way too many people sharing one bathroom. This location may look not too far from downtown on a map, but it's quite far in reality. I stayed here for 5 days and was approached every day on the street out front and offered sex and drugs. Really, looking back there absolutely no reason to book here. I've been back to Montreal many times since then, and now I stay at the hostels. At least when you share a bathroom in a hostel, it's only with the people in your particular room. At this hotel, I felt like I was bothering the whole when I took my shower. I would never book a hotel this far away from the heart of the city again. And walking 10 minutes to the metro might sound short, but everywhere I've stayed since it's more like a 30 second walk. Their decor did not impact my trip. Feeling like I had to stay out of the way, made me feel like a bother/burden being there. Never had this sort of feeling anywhere else I stayed. I felt like I was waking the whole place up when I tip toed to the bathroom after midnight.

Very nice owners, free continental breakfast is a plus, biggest downside is that it's a bit removed from downtown, although the Prefontaine metro stop is only a 10 minute walk away.

Bathroom is a bit small but the room I cozy anf the breakfast service is excellent. Good location and excellent price.

Simple and nice rooms. Not the cleanest part of the city or closest to any attractions. BBut the service and maintenance of this older structure makes up for it. The man the front desk actually took 25min explaining directions to all the places and how to get there. Made sure we have everything organized for us. And also waited for a late check in. Don't be fooled by the main lobby. You will actually enjoy this.

I went there with my 10 year old daughter to the spectacle of One Direction at the Olympic Stadium in September 2015. I had booked a place in their very small private parking and I had to park on the street. Very prompt and courteous. Decorative pillowcases were covered with a greasy Brown as a former dirt accumulated. The extra pillow was yellowed without pillowcase. However, the bathroom was very clean. They should not vacuuming often in the elevator who does not give us confidence by sudden movements. Cannot open the windows for fresh air. Hard turning on desk lamps. Small terrace, friendly and approachable. Restaurants away (45 minute walk) poor and dangerous neighborhood: prostitutes, drug addicts; Windows and doors shattered and barricaded the surrounding apartments, garbage, torn on the sidewalks of the place until the Pie IX Street. We did it not feel safe. People who have no expectation and who like adventure should not be disappointed. I do not recommend this place to seniors, single woman, young children. I'll give the note of 3/10.

DO NOT EVER STAY HERE The room is absolutely horrendous! Their is a little chandelier on the wall and only one bulb out of 2 works! Their is a lamp on each side of the bed that does not match, 2 curtains to make one different color each! Was promised a room with jacuzzi and queen size bed, got no jacuzzi or queen size bed! The room is freezing and can not control heat, the hall is as cold as outside and elevator is colder than any part! You can see the holes that were patched up! But yay free cable. That is a joke 10 channels! Pillows on bed not cleaned you see strands of hair from previous person! The kitchen. Or dining room iis as cold as a morgue! The rooms do not look anything like the pictures! Even the hallway! Pictures of hallway show heaters. Did they magically disappear? The menus they have of the restaurants are ancient because we called a few restaurants and the prices were 5$ to 7$ differnce! they said that we had a wrong menu! The only good thing I have to say is the people working here Are very friendly! Stayed January 2015.

Arriving at this hotel, I was initially worried by the surrounding neighborhood. However, when I met Shahrzad, the proprietress, during check in I knew this hotel was the right choice. I had booked the basic room, but Shahrzad upgraded my friend and I to the honeymoon suite for free. She was exceptionally nice at all points, even giving us recomendations for good restaurants and clubs. Next time I go to Montreal, I would definitely book the same room at the real price, because it was that worth it.
