Review of Hotel Quintessence 5*

This Hotel is a slice of Heaven! It was spectacular from the moment we arrived until our departure. We arrived to the most glorious room with a Miles Davis CD playing and logs on the fire that were a cinch to start. The gorgeous background behind the hotel was a stunning Winter Wonderland of the most breathtaking pine trees I've ever seen. The nearby village was fabulous and within walking distance to all of the lovely boutiques and dining. We did have a delicious breakfast that I would highly recommend. We opted for the buffet since it was right around the price of most of the breakfast omelets and it offered everything you could possibly imagine for breakfast; an omelet and crepe station, oatmeal, fresh fruit, eggs, cereal, bacon, sausage etc. I was celebrating my 50th Birthday and the Hotel offered me a complimentary cheese tray and a delicious glass of champagne. My only feedback to the hotel is that the entree that we had for dinner wasn't all that great. I am a foodie and it was a cod dish that was very average. I certainly wouldn't consider it fine dining. I was more than happy with the rest of the meal; Caesar salad and bread that it truly didnt bother me. My husband felt the same way about the entree, he ordered the same one but isn't picky at all and did eat it. The restaurant was kind enough to take my entree off of the bill and offered me other options but I was full. By no means would this meal prevent me from returning to Quintessence. I would book again in a second. The overall experience at the Hotel was top notch! I forgot to mention that the Bell staff is amazing! They dropped us off in the shuttle every day to the ski resort which is across the street. They would also pick us up when we called, stored our skis, took our boots and dried them out and also offered us warm slippers to head back to the room. This Hotel is a true gem! Loved our experience here;-)
