Host was welcoming, thoughtful and great conversationalist. Ecologe a hidden oasis away from the big city. Beautiful inside and out. Has a relaxing vibe. We planned a relaxing spa day at Nordik spa and this spot was excellent to end the day.

One of the best places for a retreat in nature in Canada, if not the world. 3 big factors make this place such a refreshing change: property, location and hosts. The property is absolutely fantastic. 3 bedrooms only which actually makes this place private and it is located in the middle of nature/wildlife. The decor is done so well and gives it a classical interior look. The location is accessible and in the middle of the woods. While driving to the location, it was beautiful as we were driving through nature paths. Finally the hosts are the best. Chantal (the hostess) and her family are the sweetest. They provide home-made breakfasts every morning in their dining room. Chantal also provides any other help that you might need — for example extra towels, etc.
We loved this property is so much that we will come again soon! Thank you Chantal and your family for an amazing stay.

My husband and I have been to Ecologe twice, the second for a mini-moon following our wedding. And both times, we had a wonderful stay! We've tried out two different rooms, one inside the house, and one with an exterior entrance — both of which were lovely. The fire pit was great on a summer night, sitting in Adirondack chairs under the stars.
One of the major positives at this B&B is the breakfast. They prepare and serve a fresh, new menu each morning, and you eat in the upstairs dining room overlooking the beautiful country view. It's also a quick drive to Wakefield if you're looking to spend a couple days sight-seeing. This place feels more like a boutique hotel than a bed and breakfast. A hidden gem!
