The manager went above and beyond to help us out. She was friendly, provided great advice, and accommodated us well when we had an issue. Great location, nice rooms! Highly recommend!

I stayed at this beautiful hotel this week and, wow, what a gem. Great location, beautiful rooms, magnificent beer and wine selection and incredible service. Joee and Anastasia were truly delightful and welcoming and went out of their way to ensure our stay and trip was a successful one. Will definitely be back and thank you Joee and Anastasia. You are awesome!

We had an unfortunate experience with our stay at this hotel but Kyla listened to our concerns and acted in a positive way. We were happy with the staff and many other features at the hotel and when we discussed what happened they were more than willing to make it right.
There are many ways to deal with customers and we feel that this hotel listened and made changes that would be helpful to future travellers when booking rooms.

Our daughter got married in June. We had had to travel from New Brunswick as well as other family members and guest. We can’t say enough about this hotel! We booked a block of rooms and a one bedroom suite for ourselves. Upon arriving one of the hotel employees knocked on our door with a complementary chilled bottle of champagne to celebrate our daughter’s wedding such a thoughtful and unexpected gift! The room was perfect very clean, well decorated and spacious. All of our family and guest who also travelled had no complaints and commented on how much they enjoyed their stay. It was a perfect wedding week and the hotel is walking distance to restaurants. We have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past while visiting our daughter and will certainly stay again.

Awesome Hotel, it’s a hidden gem!

The rooms are spacious. The staff are great. Very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was great and we enjoyed happy hour with a free glass of wine.

Have stayed here many times. Clean rooms and friendly staff and so centrally located for walking and shopping.

This is the nicest hotel i've seen since the Hilton. The staff are amazing ppl sho are kind hearted and compassionate I give this place a 10 out of 10 I cant say thank you enough for the hospitality xxxx Chantal Dulude.

Location is quite quaint. Close to downtown Charlottetown, walking distance to Victoria Row and the wharf/pier. Sensible layout. Conference room, fitness area, dining area. Complementary tea and cookies until midnight. Hotel itself is older, but rooms are recently renovated more or less (high draw appliances like hair curler/dryer cause the lights in bathroom to flicker for example). Changing of linens didn't seem to be particularly thourough (missed some pillow cases, bed sheets were made up, rather then changed). Wi-Fi reception in some rooms is just awful.

Very clean and modern. Professional staff. Continental breakfast left much to be desired. Strong 4 out of 5 rating.

Nice, contemporary hotel in the heart of Charlottetown. Close to the water and many bars and restaurants. Enjoyed our stay here.

Good location of this Hotel to down town. Within easy walking distance to most eateries and marina. Very modern hotel with plenty of in room USB charging points, large TV, fridge, ironing board and Climate Control. Breakfast is better than the average hotel, when it comes to a Continental. They do have some hot food. They have complimentary coffee and tea in room, as well as the breakfast area with cakes and cookies. Plus for me having been on the road for a while, was the laundry facilities which were inexpensive to use. They even have ice and vending machines. The internet does drop out from time to time, but I managed to use Face time to keep in touch with family. I wasn’t around for the free drinks, so can’t comment. If there was one fault it would be the noise from running water, first thing in the morning, when the coach parties are getting ready for an early departure.

Great hotel Clean, recently updated, a nice continental breakfast, conveniently located in downtown Charlottetown within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Only downside was there was no actual pool on site. You would have to drive 5-7mins down the road to the university and present a card to swim there, which was free for hotel guests, but inconvenient.

One of the best hotels I have visited. 5-6 pm happy hrs. They gave us free tickets to a show. Very friendly staff. I recommend everyone to try here.

Took a staycation in Charlottetown at the Hotel on Pownal! Very comfortable and clean room and the service was fantastic!

This is the only hotel I have stayed at multiple times. My husband and I love it here. It's classy and elegant while still being relaxed and casual. The rooms are lovely. The location is great — downtown means it's close to everything! We love the happy hour and we love the breakfast. We love that it's owned by locals. We love the greener is cleaner program. It's a little oasis in our favourite vacation province ♡

Stayed here for two weeks while away for work. Staff was very friendly and ready to meet any needs or wants with plenty of enthusiasm and hospitality. Rooms were clean and beds quite comfortable. They also have a very good breakfast, best continental breakfast I've experienced. Nice and close to the touristy parts that Charlottetown has to offer as well. Definitely recommended.

It is located right down town with in walking distance of all kinds of shops. The rooms are great and the service is spectacular.

Well appointed common areas. Rooms are OK and need a little upgrading but clean. Fitness center is small but with good equipment.

Excellence staff, rooms, food. No better!

Friendly service, happy hour with free drinks (! ) and cookies, pretty good free breakfast. Rooms were clean and as expected. Great location yet cheaper than most the other downtown hotels.

Great Boutique Hotel. Great breakfast included. Very friendly staff. Reception for an hour each day in the lobby with beer and wine. Early checkout gets breakfast bag to go. Great attention to the little details. Will stay here again.

Where do I start?
Our power was out for 30 plus hours we escaped to the hotel on pownal.
They had fresh baked cookies waiting arrival. Staff was absolutely amazing. Kind hearted and wonderful. Even offered us another stay at a low price if our power didn't return! The family suite was beautiful! Breakfast was great too.
Can't wait to come back, but hoping for some power and heat back in Montague!
And winter begins :)

Cozy spot in the heart of Charlottetown. Excellent customer service. All Staff were warm and friendly. Would have been 5 stars but our room temperature was at 28 when we checked in and it was hard to maintain a comfortable setting both nights. Other than that the room was nicely decorated and had everything we required for a short stay.

I received the best customer service from this hotel ever! I stayed there for a couple of nights, and, when checking out, forgot my jacket in the room. A couple of days later I contacted the hotel, let them know about the problem, and they sent me my jacket through Canada Post. Long story short — I haven't received the item due to Canada Post's screw-up, and had to go through the exhausting process of getting a refund from them. They insisted on dealing only with the people who actually sent the package, and would not acknowledge me as part of the transaction altogether. So I had to get back to the hotel, and ask them to deal with Canada Post on my behalf. Shayna, the Front Desk manager, was extremely helpful and patient through the whole lengthy process, and it's pretty much thanks to her that I've finally received my refund. I am very grateful, and seriously impressed by the customer service they provided to me!
Other than that — it's a very nice boutique hotel right in the centre of Charlottetown, the best place to stay in this beautiful city. I personally won't be staying anywhere else during my next visit to PEI.

I loved this place! Fresh cookies in the afternoon, above and beyond staff, great breakfast. They had a bagged breakfast of baked goods ready to go when I left for the airport at 4:30am! I stay in a lot of hotels for work and this was the best ever for service. Something I couldn't find on the website that I was happy to discover when I arrived was an ample fitness room with a good range of free weight dumbbells. Don't think I'll ever stay anywhere else when I go back to Charlottetown.
