The staff at the desk was pleasant. Quick service to our room. Good rates. No complaints from me.

Do not book online, after paying for two rooms two months in advance they were astonished when we arrive, did not know we booked 2 rooms, and did not know how long we were staying even after presenting our receipts. In addition we had to move rooms before our time was up. If the management got there act together I would rate 3/5 as the staff was nice and the property was average,

Our room were filthy. One room should be shut down by the health department. I cant believe they are able to legally offer this room to the unsuspecting public. If you have to stay here please check your room very carefully.

I loved my stay there, they have salted water pool whichis amazingrooms are clean and quickly accessible. Great staff and the price is more then fair makes me wonder why are they just quoted 2 stars only.

Grounds are beautiful with seasonal gardens that are lovely. Rooms are out dated and require daily cleaning (even if you don't want it). I have stayed there a couple of times as I have a dog and options in Newmarket were limited. My last stay was horrible! They don't honor tax law for indigenous. They broke the law asking for me to take it up with Service Canada! Clearly not Canadian. While I was there with my car safely parked in front of my unit, a drunk driver staying at the Inn struck my car and also the garden retaining wall. $1800.00 damage to the front of my car, the owners quickly fixed the garden wall. I made sure that the drunk driver was ok and I spoke with the owner. Guess what? The Ukrainian community is strong with this. I asked if they (management /owner) called police? Yes was the answer, I asked again after hours, yes again. By this time the Son of the drunk driver had been called to pick him up and the owners tried to hide his car. Guess what? I called the police and they informed me that I was the first call regarding this. The drunk Ukrainian driver was trying to leave the scene after this and the guests had to pull him out of his wrecked car while the owners called his Son to pick him up, hide his car and kick me out with no refund. Also I'm not allowed back. I do not recommend this place at all! Unless you're a part of the Ukrainian community.

This hotel is nice — and hidden away! not a place for young people in my opinion — reserved rooms for our hotel nearby — Once 11 pm hits its considered quiet hour and if another guest would like to complain instead of it hitting a front desk it goes to local police so its not a place to go get drunk and blast your music — not that any hotel is. they have a nice pool and meeting rooms — this place can be very accomidating.

Great rooms some with full kitchens. Nice pool and hot tub. But the best is the fountain and garden in the back so peaceful and beautiful. Oh yea and complimentary breakfast.

If you like being a customer that comes here every weekend and treated like a thief, by all means stay here. I've been staying here with my boyfriend almost every weekend for months now. He was told we wouldn't even need to leave a deposit after a few more visits (never happened). Last night we were overcharged for a room that was worth 90 usually, to add we had less towels than normal. I thought nothing of it till we were leaving today and told we had to have taken these missing towels or that I threw it out when washing my face… Are you kidding!? For the amount we have spent there I could have 100000 freaking new towels! And I didnt wash my face thanks! We said they could even check our stuff… she wrote us up anyways and decided to not charge us this time… So disrespectful! Why after all these visits would I take your second hand towels? The rooms are not the best, not that clean and if you look you can find dead bugs near the head board under the matress where the skirt is… we found blood stain on the linen this stay, cups are never clean if you look in them and candy on the floor. For 150 a dirty room and being told I stole their crappy towels. Im going else where from now on.

I attended a bridal shower that was being held there. And the room that was used was nice.

I come here every few years to vote in the advanced polls and I always have a great time!

Typical 3 star motel, nothing special. Room is clean, checkout is nice and easy.

The room was large and clean and the price was decent. The pool was nice but a little too cool. We were disappointed that the "hot tub" was not working, apparently this is an ongoing issue. Would probably stay here again.

Had to fight with the water temp in the shower every time but other then that the stay was fine.

We had a nightmare situation during a move gone awry and the Newmarket Inn was our saving grace as they accept dogs. We booked the room in the afternoon and paid cash as we don't use credit cards. We arrived at about 3 am and exhausted, collapsed into bed. The room was clean but the beds were a tad high for someone of my 5''0" stature. My feet didn't reach the floor making it impossible to sit on the side of the bed and causing additional back strain I did not need. The green space for the dog was awesome but people staying in or near the pet friendly rooms, should be pet friendly people. Every time we took our German Shepherd out there was one guest who screamed. I guess she was intimidated by the breed. Oh well! Maids do not enter the rooms to clean unless your dog is crated. That would have been helpful to know. Our room was not cleaned at all during our stay and we had to beg the maid, when we caught up to her, for fresh towels and toilet paper. The continental breakfast was good but could include MILK which for some strange reason no one could explain, is not offered. This breakfast made it convenient to get up and running in the morning. The refrigerator in our room wasn't cold enough, even at the maximum temperature setting, but I imagine that has to do with energy control, and I don't have an issue with that. We stayed in Room 57 and the power wet out several times but the hotel was packed, so we understood.

I absolutely love this place. It is relaxing the staff are friendly and the indoor pool is a plus. They have held beautiful weddings here it's a little bit of a hidden gem. I'd give rice stars but the hot tub for the past year or so has been hit an miss on running : (

Terrible customer service! The person on the phone gives very superficial info and all too fast and literally hang up the phone on me before I could ask my questions.

This is a really nice inn if you are planning to stay there for a few days becuse they have to make your onw food instead of going out wich is a lot more expensive. There are all the nececery kitchen apliences. The maids came also every day to clean and change towels ect. There is also a nice sized swimming pool with salt instead of chlorine. There is also a tzakouzi and a saouna. I would gladly go back there.

Great place for during hockey tournament. We had a separate building to ourselves. Rooms are nice.

Large room. Friendly staff would definitely stay there again. Pool looked nice but didn't have time to try it out.

We booked the Newmarket Inn due to a wedding in the area and decided to stay 2 nights. Initially it seemed like a problem to book — the person we spoke to on the phone did not offer any confirmation and then sent details about our booking to another person in our party with the same last name. However, when we arrived, service was prompt and pleasant and there were no issues on check in. It was quiet overnight and the room was large and clean. The pool area looked well kept as well. I would definitely stay here again, with the expectation that it is more of a classic motel experience than a hotel (eg: paper sign in, 2 storey drive up buildings).

Clean room, very accommodating since we travelled with our dog. The grounds are beautiful. The kids enjoyed the pool and visiting the chicken coup lol. Breakfast was basic but good. Price very reasonable.

Decent hotel, beds and furniture from the '80s but clean. Rather impressive flower garden. Friendly staff and decent prices.

Beautiful gardens. Large rooms with comfy beds. Friendly staff. A great place to stay, right on the edge of the shopping district.

Doesn't look like much when you drive in, but the rooms are very large, clean, quite modern. Very good value for your money! Beautiful landscape all around the property, has a decent sized pool, as well as a tennis court. Friendly staff. Breakfast is very, very basic. If we ever need a place in Newmarket again, it will be there.

Okay, so first the good: decently clean rooms, pot of coffee in the rooms is pretty swell too And now the bad: had (very obvious) crackheads wander over to my balcony at 2:30am, and I told them to leave. Whatever. Then they came again and one knocked at my door for 4. They left after the inn keeper called us and thought the randoms were with us, then the cops to scare away the crackheads. I just wanted to sleep. The overnight keeper then signed a dated, hand written letter to the daytime staff for a refund for our 2 rooms. The daytime staff gave us $25 per room instead. They also don't have microwaves in the rooms, and no access to the single lobby microwave after 11pm. Sleep in your car.

Small hideaway in the middle of nowhere. Clean towels, lots of parking. Rooms may smell of cigarettes due to breeze through windows — people smoke outside their rooms. Meeting rooms feel like your basement from an older house. Kids liked the pool but their eyes were stinging after.

We just stayed there last night to do my daughters sleepover birthday party! Our rooms were very clean, the staff were wonderful! Very accommodating and friendly right from the check in to check out! The kids loved the pool (and Wi-Fi) The garden was beautiful! all in all I felt relaxed and glad I chose this motel for the needs we had! We really had a great visit and will definitely be returning!

The staff were very accommodating… gardens are gorgeous… there is an indoor pool and hot tub…
On the downside… you can really hear your neighbours… the water pressure is very low… had to turn off the shower to rinse shampoo … also took about 5 minutes for the hot water to finally come out of the tap.

Very friendly staff. Stayed for three nights with our girls and they loved the pool area and hot tub. We enjoyed our stay and will defiantly go back again. Thank you again newmarket inn.

This hotel is good for workers only. Don't bring the family.

We left at 6am and we're hoping the continental brekkie would be ready. It was not! Room was great, clean and spacious. Price was 170 after tax which was rich for us but the brekkie would of helped push the rating up regardless of the price.

I have give one star because I cannot give none. While my mother was dying in June I booked a reservation for the NEWMARKET INN through Expedia for my nephew's wedding on September 24th. While I was going through the possible rooms and locations, I noticed that the dates had changed and so I set the requested date back to September 24th. At some point, the dates reverted again but I didn't notice and so I accidentally booked a room for July 24th. My mother then passed away on June 18th. Did I even open the e-mails confirming the booking and so forth? No, I did not, I had many other things on my mind for several weeks. Then, I realized that I had been charged for the room — on July 24th. I e-mailed explaining the situation and was told by the NEWMARKET INN that it is too bad, but they have a policy and the charge remains. I e-mailed them again and was told the same thing. I just called Expedia to see if they can do anything — contact the Inn, make some sort of arrangement… they called and nothing. Neither the NEWMARKET INN nor EXPEDIA are willing to do anything about the 200.00 spend on a room that was booked on the wrong date due to their system date-resets and their customer's distraction at the time of booking. So, I do NOT recommend Expedia — their customer service sucks and I do not recommend the Newmarket Inn for the same reason. While I am paying funeral and other death related expenses the 200.00 lost makes a big difference to me, it means little to a hotel.

Good location. Room smelled a little like mold. But the beds were good.

It's a clean and lovely Inn with friendly and helpful staff. My family enjoyed the indoor pool and the gardens were stunning.

My Husband And I stayed at the Newmarket Inn this past weekend, as we attended a wedding. We were very impressed with everything, the staff, the rooms were awesome and very clean. The grounds are beautiful, flowers looked fantabulous! We will definitely go back to the Newmarket Inn again, and would recommend it to all we know. Thanks to the staff!

I can`t understand how people can rate this disgusting place with smelly rooms and dirty bed sheets. The manager selling drugs and in week-ends you can see a bunch of drunk people outside of their room. Really disappointed. Never go there.

I booked a three night stay here because my real estate agent recommended same for open house etc for the sale of my home. Unexpectedly, I needed another night at the beginning of my stay and called the Newmarket Inn directly. I got the same room as booked for the other three nights. Great! When I arrived I was greeted with sincerity and was surprised to find a 2 burner stove, microwave, sink, minimal silverware, pots and pans, a few dishes and cupboards in my room as well as the fridge! Bonus! As my initial intention was to be here four nights, I was quite happy. I knew I could go grocery shopping and be comfortable without having to spend a lot of money on take out or restaurants. The room itself was clean and well tended to. Bathroom was very clean! Grounds were well tended to with lots of flowers blooming. There are a number of places to walk your dog. Some green space by the tennis courts or the road/pathway in front of the Inn. The people working in the Newmarket Inn are very freindly and helpful. I did leave early two days early and these two nights were refunded without any issue whatsoever. The staff I ran into while there for my stay, all friendly and cheerful. I left in quite a hurry as my son and I did not sleep well for two nights (my dogs very sensitive to noise) and left something in the room by mistake. I called in directly and my forgotten item saved for me.

Everything in my room felt "sticky". Stale smell, odd stains on the pillow cases, 20 year old TV and lots of old pieces of hair floating around the room and stuck to the "fresh" washcloth. However, the property has very nice gardens and it seems to be a very quiet spot.

I live nere the motel I use it for a little getaway nice place nice rooms.

Stayed here mid Nov weekend for girls hockey tournament. Room was clean and surprisingly bigger than average. Pool was awesome! I would definitely go back.

I would strongly advise against booking any rooms and/or suites at this motel. The reasons are as follows: — Every room (including non smoking) has foul odor — Curtains and A/C are of poor quality — CRT Televisions produce poor picture quality — Owner and Staff are racist — — they scrutinize the presence of any guest/patron of color — After 3 1/2 days, the staff/owner have shown to violate reasonable expectation of privacy (daily questioning regarding presence of visitors — — not overnight as reasonable policy would restrict, on the 3rd day a staff member entered the room while one occupant was disrobed).

Lovely motel, big rooms with kitchen, free breakfast of scones, fruit and great coffee. Thin toilet paper, mdf cupboards in bathroom showing signs of water damage and door rubs on tiles. Still great motel.
