I tried to reschedule my reservation due to a family member's issue (unforeseen cancellation of travel arrangements). I was transferred from Hilton Honors to the hotel itself, and then to Hilton Advanced Purchase, all to tell me they could not do anything for me. Super-disappointed. Customer Care would not do anything to assist me and the property manager did not do so either. I spoke with both the supervisor and the manager and both were unwilling to assist. I was requesting… a refund or a rescheduling of my stay to another day but they were not willing to do any of that. I will be staying at other hotels from now on, as this is not the type of customer care I expected from such a highly ranked hotel. One would have thought this was a hotel which genuinely cared for its customers and would see what it could do in this unfortunate situation. I have been through alot in the past few days and there wasn't even a hint of an attempt to see what they could do or accommodate my situation. What is further disappointing is that they said they would have been able to refund me the rate had the cancellation of the flight had been due to weather but not for overbooked flights. So if your flight was cancelled because of weather, you may be refunded at the discretion of the hotel property. If your flight was cancelled because it was overbooked through no fault of your own, then you will not be refunded. A cancelled flight due to no fault of the customer is a cancelled flight. The distinction is nonsensical.
