When we arrived we were checked into Room 108. As soon as were able to get into the room (the key wasn't working) the smell of marijuana was so bad it burnt our eyes. We went back to the desk where the young lad was in the mist of being bombarded with very un happy guests from several rooms, so we asked when he had a moment to come to 108 and smell the room. We waited patiently, but he had several guests to tend to. So when I was about to go back up, he was speaking with a manager (only knew that because he was helping and taking control of what was needed) he came in and advised he smelt it "a bit" but when we went to the desk there was no other rooms available. As we were there for two nights we were told maybe another would be available tomorrow and the girl next day could compensate us for the room, and it was to be added to our file. When we got up in the morning after being the room for the night, we had headaches from the smell and our eyes were burning, we asked the young lady in the morning about what was going on with the room transfer and the compensation, she said that she would try after housekeeping arrived to find us another room and look in to the compensation. We traveled 10 hours south to visit my elderly grandmother in a home, so we had to leave and advised we would return in the afternoon. When we got back she showed us room 112, which I might add, the guest the night before left angrily after being disappointed with, but it had a better smell, So we agreed to move into it for the second night. She went into room 108 and did confirm the strong marijuana smell and said 106 had been smoking up and our vents were connected. The smell was not the only issue with your hotel. The sink in the bathroom didn't drain, the door on both rooms had to be body checked to open and close. I had to tighten the security bar on the door with my own tools as it was hanging off the wall. The floor in the bathroom in 108 was wet when you stepped on it because water obviously had gotten into it from not being installed correctly creating a slippery surface. The base of the toilet in 112 had black mold and pencil drawing in the bathroom that was half fast cleaned on the wall from where someone drew all over it. The pool and hot tub were both closed, which also was not stated on your website. I have traveled a lot of places in many countries and have had my share of distasteful hotels, but I really believe that this one was the worse, with everyone passing the blame and passing the buck onto the other staff members, telling us the next staff member could help me" with no one actually coming up with a satisfying conclusion. I paid $450 for the two nights, and to be honest was very disappointed in this hotel for having "recent renovations" and the young lady this morning said she was authorized to compensate me was 10 a night? that doesn't even cover the laundry cost to get the dope smell out of my clothes.
