Stayed here with my father while on business from August 22nd to 26th. Kyle at the front desk is amazing! Super friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable! This guy needs a raise! He goes above and beyond to ensure a guests stay is the best he can provide! Bravo and hats off to you kyle! I have been in customer service for a long time, and he has it perfected! Super professional! Cant say enough! I see a very successful hotel management career in this young man's future!

Hot tub jets werent working so it was like a hot bath. Otherwise it was a great ave to stay and we would stay again.

I stayed at this hotel for one night on June 23rd with my two sons, age 6 & 12. I was up the entire night as there were people outside in the room next door who were very loud all night until approx. 4am-5am. There were people above us that were banging and yelling all night as well until about 3am-4am. It sounded like a furniture was being dragged across the room. I attempted to call the front desk all night — there was no response. I almost called the police but I ended up passing out because I was so tired. I have never stayed in a hotel this loud in my life. I was concerned that I couldn't get a hold of anybody at the front desk. I tried calling them all the way from midnight to 4am… nothing. It was about $160 for one night, which was a complete waste. We spent the day in Barrie and wanted to have a night out… I should've just gone home. Lucky both of my children are heavy sleepers because if one of them woke up because of the noise, I would've called the police.

Service was ok. Credit card charges are were not explained properly upon check in. No elevator. Pool is nice and big. Good hot tub.

The check in people are monotone however they didn't bother so it was okay. The breakfast lady with the short hair is awesome. The rest of the staff were good. Room was clean, washed the ice bucket before use but I do that with all places cuz people may have vomited in them. I don't like that the ice machine is at the first floor wish they had a machine on every other floor. Parking is big and hotel is close to the bars. 10 dollar cab ride. Would probably stay here again.

Clean, friendly staff, good breakfast and good location. The room has fridge, microwave, heir dryer. The only thing I found not appealing is the room door. It is very old and hard to open and close. Good value for money.

Hotel was okay. Pillows were semi uncomfy. Breakfast stops really early. When I told the front desk woman that I was shocked that we missed breakfast by a few minutes, she told me too bad and that I couldn't grab a bagel on my way out. Def not a hotel that will go the extra mile for you.

Easter Weekend stay — Friday / Saturday March 30 / 31, 2018. Front desk and other staff friendly / helpful. Room and bathroom clean, some minor wear. Common areas very well maintained, updated. Pool and Hot tub used and appreciated. Breakfast buffet good, as well as coffee. Comparable to the solid standards of other Quality Inn locations. Be aware when booking that most hotels in Barrie are heavily booked for hockey and other team sports events.

We were supposed to sleep on the second floor, but they said we can stay on the first floor B/C we had a lot of luggage. The service was great. We had an Awesome vacation.

Front desk person should learn to greet customers promptly and show that they actually care about their customers we had nothing but problems with this place including not getting the type of room we paid for, room had a odd smell to it, electrical socket was dangerously falling out and alarm/radio wasn’t working properly. When we mentioned these things to the front desk person he just stood there and didn’t offer any type of helpful solution? Sooo we packed up our stuff, I told them give me my money back and we ended up going to another hotel which was such a good move rather then staying in that trashy old stinkin place.

Breakfast ends at 9:30, on Sunday, must be some new standard that I never experienced. I paid so much, $170, only to go to Tim's. It must have been some Masters of retard, or doctor, thinking he is smart, but I am never coming here again. You boys have some serious competition problems unless everyone thinks alike in the area, but I think if hotels entered the area they could do some serious damage. Start thinking out of the box or fail.

Decent place to crash for a night. Quick service check in and out. Good breakfast bar. Have swimming but did not try. Ample parking. Comfy beds, clean washrooms and nice TV and overall clean rooms. The place shows its age and wear outs.

Horrible experience. If I could give this place no stars I would. Never in my life have I been charged for towels and I’ve stayed at lots of hotels. I spilled an ice tea and instead of letting it soak into their carpets at 2am I grabbed a towel to soak it up, little did I know I would be charged for that, so if house keeping took a while to get there (given it was 2am) I would have been charged for damages the iced tea did to the floor, damned if you do damned if you don’t. I would never waste my money here again, on top of it all the woman was incredibly rude about it while we waited 20 minutes to continue checking out. I called quality inn in Toronto and asked if they charged for towels there and they laughed and said no of course not, he had never heard of that either. You aren’t warned so basically don’t use the towels — that’s exactly what the customer service people said when I called to complain. Should have just taken the towels if they were going to charge me for them since there’s no way of me getting my 25 dollars back since I paid with debit and I’m not driving for 3 hours for 25 dollars, doesn’t even cover gas. Beyond inconvenient and such a waste of time and money going there, don’t waste yours too, go to best western plus right beside it, I wish I did.

I very much appreciate the place you lay your head. I came in late and still treated like everyone should always. My room was a tad bit to big. But it was clean and comfy. I would really like to recommend this as your next stay.

Below average dated property! The two double bed rooms are definitely smaller than average and one of smallest I've experienced. Breakfast bar was nothing great and the staff serving was not pleasant at all. Their plans pools was freeezzzzing cold gor the 2 nights we stayed. I reminded thrice and got a different response each time. Finally at check out they gave us a $15 credit saying their pool heater had broken down. I think its unfair to take bookings since they should've known all along and we would've never booked here. Bottom line you get what you pay for. Definitely not a place worth returning to or recommending for families.

The room was large and clean. The bed was okay and the pillows were okay. Mid range hotel comfortable. The problem was the noise. The people in the rooms surrounding us, decided to return at 2:00 am and invite everyone back to their room for drinks. Not cool! It lasted about a half hour before all was quiet and we could get back to sleep. The breakfast was very good, it was fresh and hot. I loved the breakfast sausage. The coffee was very good too. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

There was a lot of good things with this hotel, but one big flaw causes me to leave a 3 star review instead of a 4 or 5. Pros: — Nice and clean — Linens — White, washable duvet cover, selection of pillows — Free breakfast included (serve yourself breakfast bar. When we were there the breakfast included cereal, toast, bagels, scrambled eggs and sausages, waffle maker, yogurt, apples — Free parking — Staff was pleasant — Room was dark enough to sleep — Room heater worked well — Pool and Hottub (we didn't use them, so I can't comment on them. The pool was small. ) — Nice size TV Cons: — The beds were older and saggy in the middle. This may not be the case in every room, but both queen beds in our room had the same sag. (I wish I had asked about another room, but it didn't seem that bad at first since they seemed to have nice toppers and felt cozy (we couldn't feel the springs or anything). But during the night, my back was in an uncomfortable position due to the sag, and I just couldn't sleep. — Noise from upstairs room. We could hear footsteps and creaks when the people upstairs moved around. Kids running around up there was very loud. I would request an upstairs room next time (there are only 2 floors). — Breakfast hours: Breakfast was served between 6:30 and 9:30 everyday. But, they should have later hours on weekends. Almost everyone who partook of the breakfast wanted to sleep in and arrived between 9:00 and 9:30.

Shabby but typical of budget hotels. Fridge in room, big TV and parking lot access through balcony. Pool could use a good clean, algae covered up by heaps of chroline. Neighborhood sketchy but close to the highway and shopping. Probably wouldn't return as there are so many just like this around here.

It was fine. Service was good. Rooms clean. They don't have an elevator so you need to carry your stuff upstairs. Other than that, all good.

The good things. It has free parking and it is still standing. Now the rest. The rooms are partially updated but missing key things like paint and window screens. The bed squeaked and was lumpy. The washroom was cleanish but the shower head hasn't been cleaned since the Bush administration. It is a cheapish hotel close to Toronto. Best advice is to shop around… Unless you like swimming in a pool greener then the emerald isle.

I stay here quite often breakfast is good pool is very heated. Clean and friendly staff… There is one front desk man who is extremley rude and sarcastic. Tall dark hair with a lisp.

It's pretty awesome when the person working the front counter remembers you by name from the last time you were in a month ago.

My room was semi-clean… a little bit of a weird odor. I also fronted the highway so that was a bit noisy, maybe request a room on the back. Overall though I got a good deal on the room so I can't really complain too much.

Cheap rates, nice rooms, hot tub was alright nothing fancy. Only problem was you can hear other guest in the rooms like using the washroom and taking showers at 3 am.

Very affordable hotel. Their Wi-Fi was fast, and their free breakfast exceeded my expectations. The staff were super friendly and accommodating.

We enjoyed our stay. Hotel older some repairs needed. Room was clean and tidy. Staff was excellent. Friendly and helpful. All staff cleaning and pool. Breakfast was great. Variety, fresh couldn't have asked for better. Will definitely stay there again.

By far the best place you could stay at. Their food is amazing, the waffles were nice and soft and the sausages were good. The only problem is that there isn't many seats so you'll just have to wait. The pool on the first week we stayed was broken because of the heating but it got fixed fast. Rooms are nice and clean and the showers are relaxing. There are 2 people working the front desk who are really nice Heather and Dorthy they were an amazing help and so was all of the other staff 5 star worthy.

The night staff were very kind and helpful. Alyssa went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and I really appreciate that. The breakfast is also lovely here, compliments to the chef. Also, unlike most places, the cleaning staff are friendly and personable so I would like to thank them as well as the GM who is probably responsible for that great moral. The lady with long blonde hair that was working on Monday afternoon, I'm not sure her name but she was friendly and helpful.

Great Customer Service, clean, quiet good breakfast and plenty of it.

Not a good family hotel. Especially if you have young children. If you want to party and keep everyone up till 4:30 in the morning than this is your place. Also management will do nothing.

Rooms are clean, staff are courteous, pillows and beds were comfortable, breakfast was fully stocked and ready for everyone.

Nice place to stay. Stayed here a few times, great pool and hot tub. Rooms are clean and decent size. Definitely would recommend to anyone that needs a place to stay in Barrie, Ontario.

Way better than white towers, stay here instead. Nice pool.

Too expensive. Wi-Fi not working. Clean rooms. Bad breakfast, not enough seats for the people who want to have breakfast.

Nice quiet rooms, easy to find right off the highway at Dunlop. Awesome pool and hot tub.
