Place was great got a room for $84 but you have to remember the price you hear has tax on top of it mine was $96.04

I always stop by here when I'm passing through on a long drive. They're prices are very reasonable. The bed is comfortable and the room is clean. I never hear anyone else staying there. The only downside is they don't provide breakfast in the morning, but that's ok, there's a few choices near by.

Toilet didn't work, the beds were felt like bricks about the only good thing was.

Called ahead got told they had pet friendly rooms for $85 available. 20 mins later get here and get told can't have a pet room none left and rooms are now $95.11 o'clock whole town is a ghost town. Rooms have water damage on roofs, fridge barely works. Don't waste your money.

Convenient location. Door to the room wouldn't close. No breakfast as advertised.

Second time here, and in this specific room, as it was our second time crossing Canada ☺. The fan is very noisy as is the heating, but the room is spacious and they accept dogs both of which which is always greatly appreciated. It was an easy check-out each time too. Will return if we ever cross the country again ☺

Had no issues staying here. Comfortable.

It's good enough for night's rest. Kitchenette was good for heating up milk for baby.

My room was freezing cold when I arrived. I mean like icebox cold. I've been here an hour and it's still freezing. Rooms are very dated but appears clean. Wi-Fi in my end located room is horrible. I finally gave up and am using my own data. It could be worse though…

For what we ended up paying, this place really wasn't worth it. Room were freezing when we got in them, and then the rooms were all dusty.

There is no free breakfast. Google needs to update the description. However, the room was clean, good shower, and even though there is no in-house restaurant, the front desk has a connection to a place that will deliver food to your hotel door.

The inn was very outdated but clean. The area was a little run down as well. The one staff we met was nice. It was a bit expensive for what you get.

Great location rooms are good and service is great.

It's an overpriced hotel for what it is. Dark bathrooms, crappy Wi-Fi and it was $160 for four people but likely the best you can find in Hearst. The owner was very accommodating and nice.

Pretty bad, lady at front desk has other priorities.

It is our favourine place for breakfast. Waitress are great. Atmosphere is calming.

Bathroom tub didnt drain at all and toilet didnt flush well, beds and other facilities are ok. It was a work trip so we didnt stay in town long, and I have been to other area motels and none are much better. Companion is still best value if you happen to be passing through.

It does the job. No complaints, great b-tubs. Try to croque monsuer.

Noisy cant sleep. Thin walls. Promised Wi-Fi… it was a lie no microwave. Never stay there.

The heat was not turned on and no extra blankets available, I seriously froze. In order to get service you have to wake the clerk up, the clerk does not keep herself readily available. The front door is only accessible with a card key but the scanner did not work and would have to wait a few minutes every time you needed to get back in. The hotel room was clean but cold. There aren't any vending machines for snacks and the clerk only speaks enough English to take and charge your credit card, she was pleasant but of zero usefulness. THE FACE TOWEL I USED WAS STAINED YELLOW! My recommendation to the owner… train your staff on simple things like turning on heat, quality control on he housekeepers, a vending machine with some healthy snacks, have pertinent issue dealt with as soon as the issue occurs such as the door scanner. This hotel does not represent the Howard Johnson name at all, this Hotel is poorly managed and has no type of quality control.

Behind the hotel is the rail way and you can hear and feel the train all night long. You can forget about quite nights and good rest. Awful.

This has got to be the biggest shit hole I have ever seen. I was bringing a semi through to Winnipeg and had to stop in Hearst for the night due to log book restrictions. Well my partner figured you can't lose on a hojo in a small town. Omg when I saw the room there was no way I would sleep in either of the colapsed beds. Discussing. I can assure everyone that head office will be getting a detailed email. Sleep in your car or truck before you drop $79.00 at this place. Unbelievable!

The steam bath was removed by the last owners… it changed hands 3 times since that last 2008 review… the rooms are ok, but small with aging fit and finish… there is a laundromat a few doors down. It is quiet, for sure… good place to rest after a long day's travel, just don't expect it to be like a Southern motel / inn… mismatched sheets, strange furnature that has been collected from around town, wallpaper from the early 70s, with the pink floral pattern… nothing too unexpected in Northern Ontario… There is no pool… there has never been a pool…

We booked our room in another hotel on hwy 11 in Hearst, enroute to Winnipeg, after a long drive from Toronto we were fully exhausted and wanted a goodnight sleep, which seemed impossible in that hotel as there was a lot of noise coming from the ground floor, restaurant or bar and the Noise of traffic passing on the Hwy was unavoidable, plus there was some type of noise of a working crane, and we were disturbed two times by a knocking on our door by people looking for some other room#, we finally checked out of the hotel and went to Travel Inn hotel, couple of blocks away inside the city. Thank God we made this decision and checked in around 11PM the atmosphere was entirely different in this hotel everything looked peaceful and quiet, well managed and under control, the room was very spacious and had all the amenities we needed, We overslept until 11 AM in the morning and enjoyed a Steam Bath which was soothing and we felt like floating in the air, thanks to the Management and Staff at Travel Inn who made our onward journey easier as we felt totally refreshed, I would award Travel Inn an A++ in service and Hospitality.
