Old place clean friendly staff good burger and pizza joint next door … beds well let's just say their old too… great place when you. Ve been in a heavy rain storm on a Harley… u could do worse.

Just attended a dinner with a few friends and had no complaints what so ever, I would recommend to any friends that were in the area looking for something to eat.

Clean — not the Ritz but a place to sleep.

I read a lot of poor reviews on this hotel but was in the area and thought I'd stop and take a look for myself. I met Sam and he was polite and helpful. The room is a bit pricey but when it's the only hotel in the area it's not bad. The room is very clean, the bathroom looks like it has been redone recently and it's been great for my 2 nights here. Is this somewhere I would want to stay on a vacation — no, but is it just fine for anyone staying in the area — a definite yes! Bottom line — would I stay here again? Yes.

Terrible place, dirty carpets, bed spreads and bathroom. We had no where else to stay as the plowing match was on. You kept your shoes on til you got in bed. Unfriendly staff, kept door locked until you rang bell. Worst place we have stayed in many years.

Dirty, filthy, stinks, overpriced and rude. I wish the Varney Inn was still open or there was another motel in Mt. Forest cause this is one of the worst motels out there.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, reasonable prices and close to everything in town.

If I possibly could, I would rate this motel zero. I went in the door and was met by the owner, I believe. I asked him how much for two rooms and he gave me a ridiculous price. I told him we had a lake front motel in Owen Sound for $90 and he said, "Go there then. " Absolutely arrogant. I not too politely told him what he could do with his room and I meant it. I would sleep beside the road or under a bridge before I ever paid him one red cent. I have never met anyone so nasty in my entire life and that's been over 6 decades. Is this how he treats his family?

I have stayed here for awhile now and I have really enjoyed my stay. The owners are polite and they keep my room clean. They deal with any concerns that I may have right away. I definitely recommend this motel to anyone who may be travelling this way and needs a warm bed.
