It is a great B&B the host Barb is a gem! Rooms are clean and inviting! And her breakfast is so good.

My wife and I were looking for a little getaway and Danby House was perfectly situated. When my wife discovered they were a preferred partner for the Scandinave spa in Collingwood, we were sold. Check in was smooth, Barb showed us around the home and all it's many amenities, then showed us our room and made sure we were comfortable. The entire house is absolutely beautiful inside and out, very tastefully decorated with the perfect mix of old, and new. Our room was excellent with a comfortable bed, and an absolutely beautiful bathroom that once again tastefully mixed the classic architecture of the home with modern amenities and fixtures, including a stunning corner glass rain shower. The gardens and serene seating areas in the back yard gardens was an excellent place to unwind after a day on the road while enjoying a coffee from the well stocked coffee bar upstairs. Indoor secure parking for our motorcycles was most appreciated. There are several local (within walking distance) eating options that Barb recommended, and we opted for a small bistro in town ("Fire and Ice") were we had a tasty dinner in a casual atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent including yogourt, fruit, and eggs Benedict — not something I often make for myself despite loving it, so I thoroughly enjoyed it. We loved our stay and would love to return! Book and stay with confidence!

I loved my stay. The house is so beautiful and is a great mix of modern and new. Barb, the owner, hostess, designer, and cook extraordinaire, is such a hard working and talented person. You get the feeling that she gets more done in a few hours than most people in a day. Despite this, she's very laid back and social and made sure to socialize with all the guests. She customized a delicious breakfast based on my dietary restrictions. I would live to visit the house and town in the summer.

Amazing stay at the Danby House. Barb, our host welcomed us like family. As soon as we stepped in we felt like we were in a home away from home. In the morning we were awakened from her enticing aroma of prepared breakfast. Will definitely be back again when we visit the area.

Beautiful house, very friendly hosts.

Very friendly, quite, historic and clean B&B. Barb was an amazing host even with a sprained knee! We stayed in the room with a private entrance and the room was very clean. Little details such as great smelling body wash, a Keurig machine with hot chocolate and cider pods on demand and a great tea selectuon really made the trip unexpectedly better. For breakfast we were served eggs benedict with peameal bacon with a choice of grape or oj and coffee or tea which was delecicious! No corners were cut — that's for sure.

Clean, welcoming, comfortable beds, big bathrooms, yummy food and nice people. What more could you ask for!

Breakfast was amazing. Rooms are comfortable as is the bed. Floors are a little creaky so you kinda know when someone is coming or going. Otherwise, the owner is very accommodating. Did I mention the breakfast?
