Review of Delta Hotels by Marriott Toronto 4*

I cannot thank Delta Toronto enough for my experience on March 12th 2016! I had been planning a surprise James Bond birthday for my boyfriend, where clues hidden around the house were leading him to the hotel for the night where we would go for dinner, and then a secret agent escape room. Upon arrival, I was running late, and had forgotten to bring my visa, and brought only my debit visa. I started to panic and the front desk asked what the one night stay was for. I told them about his birthday plans, the costume I had, the clues and how I had been texting him from another number as MI6 with his instructions. The lady smiled and asked me to wait a second. She then came back with another employee (I assume manager? ) and they let me know that not only would I be able to use my debit visa (I simply had to have my room inspected the next day, which was super quick and convenient), they were also going to upgrade me from my standard room to a suite since my surprise birthday plans for him were so cool and unique. I couldn't believe it! I have never had such amazing customer service. The suite was absolutely incredible too, with a perfect view of the rogers Centre and the CN Tower, a big kitchen, living room, and a massive bed and bath as well. We later had dinner at SOCO (the best steak of my life! ), we told them our story and they made him the exact James Bond martini and a free desert! Every step of the way, people were so accommodating, and personalized everything to our theme. When the employees who upgraded us saw him, they said happy birthday, asked how he liked everything and even complimented my costume. He was completely surprised and says it was the best birthday EVER, and I have Delta to thank for that. I will definitely make sure to stay at the Delta again, and will tell everyone to do the same. They really went that extra mile!
