Nice rooms and friendly staff but really need a 25 hour restaurant.

Garbage food. No refund on unused days and incredibly overpriced.

Expensive for quarantine considering the food is just as bad as all the others!

Room was clean and nice but… no fridge, microwave or ice machine.

Extremely quiet rooms so you can't hear the neighbors. Comfy beds. Great showerheads.

Room was ready early which was a nice treat… front desk stay helpful and courteous… very convenient for early morning flight and carpark… we will always stay here from now on.

I have a friend in the hotel industry who says the most important thing about a hotel is the bed… you need a good sleep. The ALT has the best beds ever! Great ergonomic rooms. Cool sleek and modern. It’s a self serve cafe with meals to heat up. Some people might prefer room service but the ALT’s selection is healthy and sold at a decent price.

Perfect after a Long Day.

Super convenient to Toronto airport. It's l on the same tramline that services terminal 1 and 3. (Why *is* there no terminal 2! ) You walk out to the parking lot at the hotel is right there. Maybe 100 yards away. ALT is a 'nouveau' style hotel with exposed concrete and stuff. Totally fine experience. Would definitely stay again for an early morning flight or stopover in Toronto. Note you can also connect (indoors) to the Pearson Express train that goes downtown Toronto. Cheap, clean and easy to do.

My family and I stayed at this hotel last night. The place was very clean and very affordable. Very close to the airport. We had to stay overnight in Toronto and this is located about 15 mins away by shuttle train. The staff were all amazing and willing to help in every situation. They even helped us order food in and let us eat in the lounge. Outstanding.

I visited Alt Hotel recently for a business conference. So my review will be from a one time attendee's perspective. First thing that you'll notice about this hotel is its unorthodox design philosophy. The modern design and color schema's give a fresh vibe to the place. Apart from the ample selection of rooms for overnight guests, the place had several meeting /conference rooms as well, which had the same modern design elements. My interaction with the hotel staff, though limited was very pleasant. Another strong highlight of this hotel is its accessibility from the airport. The hotel is directly connected via the airport shuttle and is a breeze for travelers to get to this place. All in all my experience at the Alt Hotel was great. So I give it a thumbs up.

My room was small but functional, clean and stylish. Just what I want on a business trip. Hotels at a similar price point usually offer a continental breakfast at no additional charge, but I had to pay for my coffee, scone and yogurt. The location is ideal for using public transit to get to the downtown core. The fitness facilities are very basic but clean and in good repair. No heavy dumbbells or barbell equipment. Overall a very good experience. I will stay again.

Fun, convenient, and clean. Alt Hotels have reinvented the traditional quick-stay hotel, and has set the bar pretty high ever since. Great hotel with a lot to offer. Rooms are clean, and spacious. Outdoor parking is available at around $18 per night. My only issue might be with the shower; being a modern hotel, I expected a more modern style shower. The lobby area has to be one of the best in its category, which includes bar, pool table, TVs, fun sitting areas… They also have a decent gym. The hotel finest feature is undoubtedly its direct access to the airport train shuttle and Toronto Up train to downtown — which I explain in more details below. If you are planning on staying near the airport for work, this hotel is the way to go thanks to it train shuttle connected directly to the Toronto Pearson Airport. Plus, this shuttle access offers you access to the Up Toronto train that take you downtown in 15 minutes — no traffic, no stress. These train tickets are about $12.25.

Been to the Alt multiple times and am never disappointed. Upon arrival we received a hand written letter welcoming us and a clean comfortable room that was very cozy. Location was perfect for an overnight stay with a flight in the morning.

I was in room 607. The staff was friendly. Parking is $15 per night which is lame but the link train comes right to the hotel from the airport so, at the staff's suggestion, I returned my rental car that night and rode the train in to the terminal in the morning which was very convenient. The staff was great, the room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. There are blinds with blackout shades over the top so the room is very dark. I will stay here again if I ever have to fly out of Pearson Airport again.

Was a comfortable oasis during the unintentional overnight after our connecting flight home was cancelled. Location — Advertised as being connected to the airport you still had to walk briefly outside to the main entrance, very short so no big deal except we weren’t dressed for the weather. The walkable tram connection was still a selling point and overall very impressed with how quiet the rooms are with the runways close by. Amenities — nice grab and go selection that satisfied our late night bite desire. Also got a complimentary travel size tooth paste after inquiring on where to find one… little details that cost the hotel nothing but made a difference to us not having to purchase one was very nice. Also has coffee in room! Beds are very comfortable, the room is pretty spacious with creative cubbies and closets. Cost — again advertised as budget hotel (3-star) but was $10 more than most nearby including the Sheraton also connected to the airport. For not having to deal with a shuttle and he hotel comforts was worth it but we did debate for a few moments. I would stay at another Alt off of an airport after this experience.

Very good hotel, I liked the rooms very functional and easy access from the link monorail. The only downside is the lack of restaurant… no breakfast worthy of the name and just a snack with dishes to warm up in the microwave… shame.

I stayed at this hotel before boarding a long haul flight. This was my first time breaking up my long flight by staying at a hotel and getting some sleep and having a shower before boarding a transatlantic flight. The room was actually quite nice, it had everything you need. The bed was comfy and clean. Bathroom was awesome too, very clean and had all the supplies I needed. They have a little food kiosk on the main floor, it was pricey but it's on par with airport prices for food. It was also handy to have the train take you there and back to the terminal. I felt refreshed and rested.

Got to be the most convenient airport hotel, adjacent to the light railway that runs between the terminals and the park and fly package where you can park in the value park garage is great value. We saved about $100 over paying for the hotel and parking separate even though we only used 5 days off the 8 day ticket. It's a pretty basic hotel amenity wise but it's just a place to sleep before an early flight and is the best option in my opinion.

I REALLY like the ALT hotel. It is much more affordable than the hotel at terminal 3 and has such a unique design. My room had 3 huge floor to ceiling windows. I like the bar and the food area where you could pick and heat your own food to eat there or take to your room. The hotel was very quiet while I was there. Everyone who worked there was very nice. And it was less than 10 minutes by tram to terminal 1.

I had the experience of staying at this hotel before an early morning flight and it was a mistake. The concierge welcoming us had a very loose grasp of the English language and that was only the beginning. This hotel ‘features’ hilariously cramped rooms that are barely larger than the bed stuffed in them (which by the way seem to be a double bed), lights that are activated by the keycard and otherwise remain off at all times, an elevator that feels shaky and unstable, and hallways that are not sound-proofed and are thus extremely loud to people trying to sleep in the rooms. Clearly, costs were cut at every single opportunity. Never again. I have no idea why this hotel is rated so highly. A 2-star experience at best, this hotel has the only redeeming feature of being in close proximity to the airport. Next red eye flight I have, I’m just staying downtown (I recommend the Four Seasons or The Windsor Arms) and taking a cab at 3 in the morning. I’d probably get better sleep in the car anyway.

The Alt was a we'll appointed hotel very close to Pearson. The Link train was conveniently located immediately next door for quick travel to either terminal. The room was a good size, and very comfortable for an overnight stay. As a bonus the hotel is pet friendly, which is very convenient for anyone travelling with a family pet.

Great bed, nice features overall. I enjoy the accessibility to the hotel from the train. The doors on the loo were impossible to pull together to close and awkward to operate with weird flush handles. The room looked like it had many repairs with holes in the walls or covers put over things, could use a refresh. Great contemporary design. The lobby used used to be clean, clean and open and welcoming, this trip it, seemed very cluttered and closed off, not as welcoming. The staff though are super friendly and on brand.

"Traveller Hotel", most if not all, rooms only have Queen size beds. Grab and Go prepared food. Good beer selection. Steps from the tram that takes you to the Airport. Outdoor and Indoor parking with packages available. Be aware, indoor parking does not have in and out privileges.

Cool, modern style hotel for short airport stays. Decent food options, nice amenities. Ice machines only on certain floors. Stayed one night during a lengthy layover, was quite comfortable and the service was polite and professional.

I love the convenience of this hotel. Very easy to get to the airport and to downtown via the airport link rail and UP express. Rooms are modern and super efficient. Very comfortable beds.

Only visited as a guest for a business meeting. Food was first class. Meeting facilities were perfect. Staff at the front desk we're friendly, inviting and helpful. All-in-all a great visit.

Very nice hotel. Great amenities, very nice rooms and friendly staff! Almost everything needed for a great hotel. Unfortunately, meal options are very limited and the area doesn't have many restaurants so breakfast isn't something to be relied on here. They have a small selection of bagels and muffins, yogurt and if you are there early enough à breakfast sandwhich or two. Bearing this in mind however, this is still an excellent place to stay.

I love the rooms at the Alt — clean and modern. The bathrooms are bright and clean. The hotel decor is fun and the staff are incredibly friendly. I just wish they had some more standard hotel amenities like vending machines rather than having to buy food from the bar.

Quirky hotel that has a hip design with functionality in mind. The service staff are accommodating yet not so overbearing. Has a great location next to the Toronto Pearson International Airport Terminal Shuttle as well as parking garages. Although the cafe/food place is cool, there should be more food variety and definitely an elegant bar to go with the city feel in the design.

I expected the room to be worse, but it brings me a pleasant surprise when I saw it, it is small, compared to others in which I have been, but has very well taken advantage of the space.

Very friendly staff. My children were starving by the time we got to the hotel, but Alt saved the day with a wide variety of food. The beds were amazing. Definitely more eco friendly than most hotels, there was even a recycling bin in our room and almost everything was reusable. Loved it!

Well equipped clean, nice rooms. Excellent staff willing to help and assist. Coffe maker, USB charging port, Ethernet etc.
Shower in top class and a very comfortable bed. Self service beverage and food. No fuzz, just to the point. I really liked it.

Convenient to the airport. Take the Link train (free) to Viscount. It takes 3 minutes from Terminal 1. It's the only hotel at that stop. The staff is super helpful, in letting us know if we wanted to go downtown within 8 hours to purchase UP Express for layover and it cost only $12, versus, $9 each way. They also have a small convenience food store that is open 24 hours with the bar closing at 1am. The gym is adequate with about 8 pieces of equipment, they will lend you a yoga mat from Lululemon. It's definitely caters to business travelers. Not much to do around, but so easy to get to downtown using the UP Express, which takes about 25 minutes. The hotel is clean, nice size, and well maintained. Modern aesthetic design.

Had a really great experience! Rooms were awesome, modern design and really comfy beds. Just a free and quick train ride to the airport. Staff was friendly and efficient. They are very flexible with check out times which is really nice if your flight is a little later in the day. Would definitely recommend staying here, will definitely be coming back!

Loved the trendy European flavour of the hotel. Less flashy than the other big chain hotels but where obvious savings were made in "decor", these are passed on to customers in their room prices. 1/3 less than the other big name hotels. Great beds, down duvets and pillows. More enviro friendly — room key turns on lights so You can't leave your lights on when u leave; soap, shampoo, etc. In pump dispensers instead of wasteful little plastic bottles. Would choose this hotel over the others even without the savings.

Location is very convenient and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is very modern. The room was great and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay here again if I needed to be close to the airpirt.

The alt is amazing. Great location and parking! I travelled alone with my 2 year old daughter and they were extremely accommodating. They had a crib set up with a little pillow and blanket for her. It was a clean, child friendly and comfortable room! We will definitely be back.

Ultra modern room, high end amenities, beds are comfy as heck, pillows are top notch, immaculately clean, staff is on point, and it all comes at a price that's über affordable. We need Alt Hotel in the US.

Great place to stay. Comfortable room, very friendly and helpful staff. Airport train only minutes from the door. I would definitely stay there again.

Everything was very compact, but not to the point of it feeling too small. There isn't a refrigerator in any rooms to my knowledge, so keep that in mind. For the price, it was pretty great. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Stayed here for a weekend. The hotel is beautiful. It's fairly new and they made everything very modern. It gives you a very 5-star feel even though the hotel is not quite 5 stars. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are very clean.

We stayed here when a flight was delayed. Very nice modern design. Great selection of food also. This reminds me of the Citizen M that we stayed at in London.

We love the ALT HOTEL. We have used them seven times now all for their park and fly. The beds are soft, comfy, the rooms are clean and perfect. My only issue is the rooms are very warm and unfortunately no ceiling fans to assist in making it cooler. That's a small Criticism because otherwise an awesome hotel. At a decent rate in an awesome location.

Had a business meeting here. There is only 1 small bathroom for the main lobby and the 2nd floor meeting rooms. As we speak 2/4 stalls in the bathroom are broken. It's disgusting in there.

Absolutely loved our stays at the Alt Hotel in Toronto. The atmosphere is really cool and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are not your average hotel room either, they're very modern but also functional. We sat downstairs at the bar and the staff there were very knowledgeable about the different beers that they had on tap. We've stayed at this hotel twice and we are looking forward to staying there again.

The best place to stay for a business trip in Toronto. 30 minutes to downtown. Despite to the airport it's very quiet. New, clean and nice staff (most of them. ). No additional services, that I don't need to pay for. The rate is very fare compare with other hotels in this are that are old and noisy.

The staff were very nice; checkin and checkout super-fast and there was a nice fitness room with a treadmill, elliptical machine and weight machines. The room was clean and, being in a corner room, I had a great view of the airport runways. What I didn't like was the bed, which I found too soft and gave me a sore back after sleeping on it two nights in a row, or the lack of a full service restaurant. One can buy cereal in a plastic container for $3 and a variety of micro-wavable goods but it's pretty tough to stay there for all meals. For not much more than the cost of the pre-packaged sandwiches, I had a delicious hamburger at the Sheraton, one stop away by shuttle train. One can also take a taxi to a nearby street with restaurants. I also didn't like the austere décor with cement walls nor the armchair in the room that was designed for style, not for comfort. Finally, I found the continual barrage of bland loud music in the lobby to be an effective deterrent to staying in that area, which was the only area where one could relax outside of one's room. As a music lover, I would prefer to not be bombarded by it 24/7; it removes the impact of good music and simply turns into an irritant.

The hotel concept is very convenient and the staff are highly attentive. Despite the convenience however, be prepared for high priced meals (in comparison) that you microwave. For example, it is relatively easy to spend $20 — $30 on a meal that you heat up in the microwave that has been pre-prepared. Picture left-over night at home — the food isn't bad, it just doesn't fit the price. A low room rate, quickly becomes equal to a much higher rate because even bottled-water will set you back financially and by the end of your stay, you will have paid much more per night than you were expecting. The biggest complaint however are the beds! They are absolutely uncomfortable! I have slept in innumerable hotel beds over the years and I must say that my bed twin-mattress bed in basic training camp offered a better night's rest. I have stayed at this hotel primarily on overnight in/out trips to Toronto for convenience purposes on and off over the past few months and it seems that the beds are actually getting harder. A traveler should never contemplate at 2:00 in the morning about packing up and switching hotels because the bed is rock hard. The rooms also amplify any hallway noise so anytime another guest opens/closes their room door or speaks in the hall, it is much louder than it should ever be. I am writing this review after one of the worst nights of sleep that I have ever had and would give it a one-star rating if it weren't for the staff.

One of the best options around YYZ.

This is my second time staying at this particular location and I will definitely stay here again. The rooms and common areas are absolutely fantastic. The gym is reasonable but could use an additional TV. More than anything the service is top notch. The location works for the meetings I had but there is not much to do in the area after work hours.
