The room and bathroom were clean but there was a musty smell in the hallway and in the room. The air conditioner didn't work properly and it ran all night but you couldn't hear neighbors talking or showering. The water pressure was good and the water was hot.

Good place to stay. Central to activities. Pool and spa were dirty and pool deck was super wet. Need to be on it.

Seems like a decent motel. It was just a late check-in and early departure for us but the room was nice and clean and the check in and out was very quick. Beds were more comfortable than expected. Has a pool but we didn't check it out.

The people at the front desk were polite, the place was clean and I loved getting the 20% off at a cafe for staying at the Motel. Even though, the final bill ended up being the exact same price as every other eatery on the outside with that discount. Other than that, we enjoyed it, the price of the room was good and the saltwater pool is a nice touch. Unfortunately, our son being of special needs isn't the best sleeper because of it, it caused people to make noise complaints against us 2 days in a row. I am sorry for the disturbances+-, but I am not sorry for taking a needed vacation with our son. People need to understand that. This reminds me of when we took our kiddo to Marine Land and people were complaining that our son was allowed to get ahead of the line. Our son can't wait, he is not able to, he would have a meltdown to the point that he would be screaming the whole time and clawing at my arm to the point that we wouldn't be able to wait in ANY lines whatsoever, so we asked got that accommodation from Marine Land Management and the employee's had to explain why we got that accommodation. My point is, knowing full well my child has special needs, if this had escalated, would you have kicked us out?

Ate at Sunrise Cafe. Our waitress was phenomenal. Very friendly. And the food was delicious too. Will definitely come back!

The Colonial Motel is currently renovating the entrance/lobby area. There is no longer an antique shop in the premises. However this did not impact on our stay. Room was clean, comfortable, and all necessary amenities. Morning coffee was available in the lobby The pool is not a chlorine pool and was a delight. The price for one night, room with a jaccuzi was modest.

Quaint little place for the price. Been here twice due to affordability and proximity to Sauble Beach. This last time, I was so unimpressed by how hard the beds are. The "comforters" are colourful bedsheets, the pillows are too flat for comfort. My wife was several months pregnant and after 20mins, couldn't take it anymore. There was also no water in our fridge. I went to complain at the front desk and asked her to invite the Manager to sleep on one of those beds and their family members at all. It was insulting to think the Manager would have their customers on such poor bedding and probably was sleeping comfortably at home. Please have more respect for your customers. On the plus, the breakfast place was nice and the pool is great as well. But the most important aspect is your sleep!

Awesome good food great service my mom works here the staff she works with are very very very nice and very helpful I give them a 5 star rating because they deserve it it is very good they have a pool, cafeteria, and amazing staff the owner is very nice too please give port elgin travelodge a 4 or 5 star review they definitely deserve it the motel Rooms are very very clean and I mean very clean this motel is very awesome 5 stars thank you travelodge port elgin.

Friendly staff, fast check in, blazing fast free Wi-Fi, discount at my favorite restaurant (attached to hotel), in-suite fridge / microwave plus 24-7 coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby. Great value!

Friendly front desk reception, clean rooms, comfortable bed. I'm a pretty picky person generally, and I've stayed at this hotel twice. There's definitely nothing fancy about it, but if you're looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay the night at an affordable price this is where you want to spend the night.

The customer service skills were very good, from check-in to check-out. The room was clean, but there was an odour of stale air that permeated, until the window was left open to air it out. The window has a stopper installed, preventing anyone from opening it more than a few inches. The beds were clean. The small fridge was clean; and worked well. The room had a TV, but we never turned it on. There's an indoor pool and hot tub, which were quite therapeutic after a long day of driving. There are plenty of stores and restaurants in the immediate vicinity, including Walmart, Canadian Tire, Giant Tiger, MacDonald's and a beer store. The surprising part to me was that this Travelodge was listed with a 3-star rating. Yes, there was free Wi-Fi, as well as an assortment of free coffees, teas and hot chocolate; however, breakfast was not included and the pool was in disrepair (albeit usable). I've become accustomed to having some sort of free breakfast offered in 3-star hotels/motels (even some 2-star locations are offering it) In my opinion, this Travelodge is Ok, but it seems that they only bill themselves as a 3-star location in order to charge a little more for the rooms. I don't regret staying there; and I believe that with a few changes, they could deserve that 3-star rating.

We stayed for one night in Room 53. The room was decent, staff was helpful and friendly. My only gripe is the checkout process where the front desk didn't seem very interested in my checkout, so I left my keys on a piece of paper with my checkout time! Pool was okay, location was perfect. Would stay here again.

Great staff and love the atmosphere! The management is amazing and the food is wonderful! I recommend their cafe! The pancakes are so good!

Great Hotel would recommend, I was a bit unsure when making the booking but was pleasantly surprised after checking in. Staff was really friendly and hotel was super clean. They even kept the pool open extra time for us.

Great value and place to stay in Port Elgin. Stayed here at least twice a year for the last 20 years…

Unless they are fully booked, I suggest that you go here first, because they have excellent rooms as if they were just renovated, with clean washrooms, beds, and very pleasant decor. A great place to park yourself before venturing into the town or the beach. The staff are very friendly and the antique store has something for everyone. The cafe on site is a bonus, however I did not visit it. It was a truly enjoyable stay.
