Terrible experience. After unpacking and getting ready to head to our reservation we sat on the bed only to realize we were wet. We pulled down the comforter and quickly realized that the sheets had not been changed and the previous ppl had peed the bed. We asked for a refund so that we could go to another hotel but said we would still be charged for this one if we left. All they could offer us is a different room and 20% off dinner coupon. Who would want to continue to stay in a hotel that doesn’t properly clean their beds.

We stayed here for a hockey tournament, our kids were well behaved but harassed by hotel staff for walking to and from pool or bouncing a ball in the hall. Talk about fun sponge …

Allan at the front desk was very helpful. It was a relatively busy night and he was doing his best to keep up. Our daughter pressed the emergency button in the pool and I informed him and he assured me it was fine as I felt awful. He fixed the issue right away. We later made our daughter apologize to learn a lesson and he comforted her as it wasn't easy for her to do.
We asked for extra pillows and they were up to us within 5 minutes.
The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy, the staff is efficient and the price is right.
The hot tub is hot, the pool is a pool.
The showers work just fine, you are going to hear some noise (it's inevitable).
If you are looking for a place to stay that is clean, semi-fancy, and close to amenities I suggest staying here.
Beats the Comfort Inn and the Best Western Plus down the road by a mile!

We had a wonderful stay this weekend. After my daughter took a fall in the parking lot, the staff went out of their way to accommodate. Would certainly recommend!

We spent the weekend here for a hockey tournament and the staff were amazing. Hockey teams are often met with immediate chilliness and wariness at hotels, but they were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Be kind and respectful towards them and they pay it back in spades.

Enjoyable stay. The staff were really helpful and fun.

It’s such a nice place to stay. Service from the part of the staff were exceptionally nice. The restaurant, pool, hot tub and the gym is open to the guests.

Very happy with this hotel… I've had bad experiences in the past with Four Points, but their staff at this location saved the day. Gave my son a free chocolate egg, an extra breakfast coupon, and were very attentive when we got there (check-in took 30 seconds). The food was pretty good too. Highly recommend this hotel!

Stayed here this week for 2 days for work. Check in was a breeze, the room was very comfortable. The restaurant topped it off for me though. The food and service was exceptional. Ashley served me both days for dinner and I was astonished with how great her service was. I don’t particularly like traveling for work, but she made me feel right at home. If I could give this hotel 10 stars I would.

Nice clean rooms. The gym and pool are decent. The staff is very courteous and friendly. They have craft beers at the restaurant which is nice. The hotel is located right off highway 400. Short drive to downtown.

Great place for business travel. I had meetings all day and it was relaxing and nice to relax at the bar with a beer before going to my room which was clean and well kept. Will be back the next time I have meetings in Barrie.

Pros: — 42" LG TV was really nice, channels are definitely premium from most hotels Cons: — We had cold water in our shower and sink for the entirety of our stay (4 nights). Front desk said the maintenance guy said I should run the water a bit longer to get warm water… Well, for water to stay cold after myself and my wife took separate showers totaling 45 minutes — thats not a solution. — They do not wash their duvets properly (added photos of dirty duvets from our stay) — Faucets for shower and sink (see photos) were falling apart — Toilet paper holder was falling apart (see photos) — Attempted to order room service. Its awesome that "room service" in this hotel does a) not return phone calls when we leave messages b) does not actually deliver the food to your room c) will not charge the food to the room (have to pay upfront) d) food is undercooked (chicken was still pink). 45$ worth of food not eaten because we were scared to get sick. — Was double charged on the last night of our stay. We booked the final night separate from our original booking and then went to the front desk to explain. The lady said this was fine and 'bridged' our bookings. Upon checkout, I noticed they charged a full night under my wife's name AND kept my charge under my name. Double charged. No manager on site in the morning to deal with this. Overall — I would avoid this hotel like the plague. I am still waiting for a phone call from the manager of the hotel.

Excellent service. Great hotel to stay in. Well appointed and close to everything in Barrie. Louise Pugsley was very effervescent and always there to provide assistance. Would defintely come back. Loved the hotel! She deserves to be promoted within the company as she is always aware of the hotel guests needs!

The placeis nice and service is good. The food is not super fresh but still good. They have a little gym and a nice pool. Spa and jazzuci too. Its a relaxing hotel no noise. Liked the ambience.

I often stay at the Four Points Sheraton in Thorold when I visit St Catharines for work. So I thought I would give their Barrie location a try and I was not disappointed. Clean room, comfy bed, friendly staff and a saltwater pool made the stay very enjoyable. Would highly recommend it to anybody.

Very nice and clean place. Stuff is extra thoughtful. Room was clean and shiny. The biggest problem was the noise. Walls are thin so you hear every toilet's flashing. Enjoyed my stay.

Bed was comfortable. Nice lobby area. Pool was cold and hot tub dirty (floating hair, other debris. ) Pool area smelt funky. Front desk staff were ok, not very welcoming or friendly upon check in or departure. Morning staff in kitchen area not very couteous either… Will likely not return based on this stay. Update: Upon arriving home noticed a theft of lisence plate border and dented passenger door.

The rooms were clean but disappointed that I got charged for two extra people as I had company because we were going downtown later that night, they did not stay the night but I had to pay $10 for each individual just for them to visit. It should be made clear on website and check-in that visitors are not allowed as I thought they were. Very disappointed in the staff that said no matter what, we will be charged for them coming up to our rooms. I was in barrie for a goodnight for a birthday, friends were meeting us at the hotel but not staying the night. No one should be charged UNLESS they sleep overnight in the rooms. Will not be coming back. ALSO Pretty ridiculous that we got a room with one of our friends and we specifically told the front desk that I would pay for one room and he would pay for the other and I got charged for both rooms on my VISA. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Too many complications to actually enjoy our night out.

I stay here once a week just because the rooms are always clean, good location and the hotel has everything you need. The staff are super friendly and always welcoming. Great place to stay.

My Saturday morning meeting was at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Barrie. However, their website wouldn't take a Friday night reservation. Neither could I get through to the hotel by phone to talk to someone. From previous visits to Barrie, I knew there was a Four Points by Sheraton right next door to the Hampton. So I called the Sheraton and made a reservation with no problem. Arrival late Friday afternoon and check-in was straight forward at the front desk. The lobby was very nicely decorated with a unique bicycle wheel display and interesting signage. We got a very nice room with a king size bed at the end of hall on the main floor. Once we were settled in our room, we went back to the foyer and sat down at the counter of an interesting pub. I'm a craft beer enthusiast and was delighted to find four taps serving Barrie's Flying Monkeys beers. Matthew behind the bar was very pleasant and helpful as we sipped our beers. While we could have had supper at the Sheraton, we wanted to go downtown and got good suggestions from Matthew on where to go and how to get a Uber taxi. Dinner was very good and we slept well when we returned. The shower next morning was beautifully built and quite special. After a very nice breakfast at the Sheraton, I went next door to the Hampton for my meeting. My wife stayed to enjoy our room, the lobby and the swimming pool. For any future Barrie meetings, I'll go straight to the Sheraton.

I did not stay as I had to cancel my reservation one day before due to a flight cancellation, anyway the card was charged, it is ok as it was a non refundable stay, now i've been calling and emailing several times since almost two weeks to get an invoice/receipt and they keep telling the information is going to be sent in the following hours, but I have nothing, I really need that information as it was a trip for work and I need proof of all spendings on that card, can anybody help me with this please? need and answer right away!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff went above and beyond. A special shout out to Ashley, who did an absolutely incredible job, exceeded my expectations, and is such a hard worker! I would stay here again because of the kindness, work ethic, and customer service skills she has shown over the past few days of my stay here.

Really liked this hotel. My room was on the ground floor, right next to the restaurant and the front desk, and I did not have any issues with noise; it was very quiet. The bed is amazing — very comfortable. Breakfasts at the hotel are very reasonably priced. Finally, the gym is well appointed and clean.

We always stay here when we visit Barrie. Clean hotel with nice rooms and very comfortable beds. Good area close to highway with plenty of shopping nearby.

Nice hotel with a salt pool and whirlpool. The affordable hotel restaurant offers a good choice of lunch. Several restaurants are within walking distance.

Lovely hotel! Very nicely decorated, modern, nice rooms, comfortable beds. The food at breakfast was very good and was included with our room price — and it was freshly cooked to order, not one of those awful buffets. I recommend!

Stayed this past weekend for my anniversary — was great to get away from everything. I think there was a hockey tournament because there were a lot of kids in the halls, but we didn’t let that bother us.
The pool is small, but that wasn’t our primary reason for staying here. The room was a great size, bed was clean and very comfy! Had an excellent sleep! The TV in the room was of good quality as well!
Only downfall I would say is the curtains cannot close to completely conceal the light, but the shades get the majority.
Staff was extremely welcoming and kind. We had a complimentary breakfast with our room booking, and we throughly enjoyed it! Eggs were excellent, really enjoyed the homefries!

We had recommended this hotel to our wedding guests and everyone loved it. Dora was incredibly helpful assisting our group. It helped make a wonderful day.

I had a very pleasant experience with Max at the front desk who helped me to try tofind a room after my reservation at another hotel was not honoured. He even went so far as to call every other hotel in Barrie on my behalf as his hotel was fully booked. I regret that we never got to stay the night because they were full so I cannot comment on the rooms, but from my limited experience I would go back.

Good location right off hwy 400. Plenty of nearby stores and amenities. Clean and spacious rooms. Rates very reasonable.

The beds were too soft, the room was clean but the AC didn't work. Woke up in the middle of the night sweating and the thermostat was at 77 degrees turned it down to 70 but didn't even change by the time we checked out. (Room 217) Went to the lobby restaurant for breakfast and ordered oatmeal it ended up being quick oats with hot water added. Couldn't even eat it, the oatmeal wasn't even cooked it was like a paste. My friend ordered the four points breakfast and it wasn't very good either.

I stayed here on Tuesday evening with my husband for the first time and we had a great time. Our room was great the beds were very comfy. The pool area was well maintained and both pool and hot tub were perfect temp. We also received great service from the front desk. Ashley was very kind and exceeded our expectations for a great hotel experience. Will stay again.

Bathrooms are nice, beds are comfortable which is really the most important part, but definitely lacks attention to detail. The lamp in my room was broken and the BLT I ordered for breakfast was honestly bad. I'd stay there again, but it definitely could use a bit of work.

Easy location just off the highway. Restaurants are about 10 mins away. Staff is polite. Tables in the conference rooms are a bit small. All and all not a bad place.

Terrible customer service. I was not even greeted as I entered the hotel. In the event of a room issue or qualm at all, you'll be told by the front desk that they have "no emotion" about your situation and will refuse to come to any resolution. We had a room mix up and were told that it was our fault, and when we asked for another room we were refused. Interesting that Max at the front desk has been mentioned as being helpful when he in fact has a very poor attitude. Will never return.

Rooms were nice. Clean, air conditioned. Asked for adjacent rooms and while they were technically next to each other they were not a connected set. Have stayed here before and would again.

Just posting so management can take the feedback and improve: No attendant at front desk on arrival, several people waiting for various assistance when we arrived to check in. Otherwise staff was very friendly and helpful. Let us check out later at no extra charge which was greatly appreciated. Room service was quick for breakfast. Bed was comfortable. Great soaker tub with jets in suite we had. Clean. Nicely decorated.

The rooms are a good size and clean. The location is conveniently located close to the 400. Staff are all friendly. Gym is small but adequate. Pool looks nice but I have not yet tried it. I would return.

Great value! Beautiful lobby. Rooms were not very fancy, but they were clean and comfortable and a great deal. Unexpected stay during a snow storm. Max at the front desk was very helpful and very accommodating. He switched our room when we discovered our first one was too small and then made to extra trips to bring us pillows and blankets for our kids. Didn't even make us feel like a bother. I would highly recommend this location if you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Barrie area! The pol also looks great! Can't wait to try it in the morning!

Unfortunately our room was plagued with many problems. The door would not properly close by itself and would stay open. The pool area did not have any change rooms nor did it have a warm shower (the water to rinse was extremely friged). It was a huge takeaway from the overalls experience. The staff was very friendly though! A great bunch of people!

We stayed here last night and bought the package with breakfast. Lady's we're great last night and let us stay in the pool extra after it was supposed to be closed got up this morning and went for breakfast at 10:30 which is to be surved till 11am the waiter says to me he is busy and it will tak about an hour I said no problem we will have a coffee and my 2 daughters and I go pack our stuff he than bangs his and down on sum papers and said well I have plans at 11:30! I said well that's not a good start. He comes back from the kitchen and says to us well it's going to be a 2hr wait! I said ok we have nothing else to do! So he stomps off and a young lady comes out of the kitchen and says we are not taking anymore orders as we're just to busy and we close at 11 I said to her really not even a bowl of cereal for the girls or a bagel? We paid extra for breakfast! She said well I guess we could but I told her we just looked up a place down the road and we were going there thanks anyway!

Second time at this location and I don't have anything bad to say about my stay. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Location is not far from stores or restaurants. There is also the Spynn restaurant within the hotel that has a full breakfast buffet and a nice dinner menu, I recommend the burger! Will be back again.

SMALL HOTEL AND TERRIBLE SERVICES: A Hotel Manager Were Not Able To Expect To Have Guests More Than Usual During Christmas Time. It was during the Christmas time where me and my friends decided to head to Barrie for a relaxation trip. Their facilities were simple, there were THREE FLOOR LEVELS WITH ONLY ONE ELEVATOR. In other words, if the elevator were not in operation then guests would need to take the stairs. However, that was not the case. We booked our hotel package that includes breakfast, and the BREAKFAST WAS SUPPOSE TO START BETWEEN 6:30AM — 10:00AM. We went down around 8:20AM where 3 small tables of guests were already awaiting for food. Breakfasts were not buffets but in orders. It took them more than two hours, passing 10:00AM to came our orders of 2 out of 8. Explanations for the manager was that THE MANAGEMENT WERE NOT ABLE TO EXPECT TO HAVE THIS MANY GUESTS IN THE HOTEL! THE MANAGER EXPLAINED USUALLY THE HOTEL WERE QUITE DURING THIS TIME OF THE YEAR! Could a hotel manager not being able to expect how many guests there would be during the Christmas time — — one of the high season of the year? ESPECIALLY WHEN WE STAYED IN THE HOTEL DURING DECEMBER 26 — 27? The excuse was not accepted. In fact, it seems like the manager tried to make us feel bad by saying they've already got everybody in the kitchen to help. Yet, it still took them to cook a simple traditional breakfast for more than 2 hours! Moreover, THE FOOD WAS AWFUL FOR A HOTEL.

I even don't want to give them this "one star"! That's the worst hotel I have ever been. The room we get is completely wrong in the website. They said our room have bathtub, but when we came to there just a shower in bathroom. Okay, We take it. We keep waiting our breakfast 2 hours! What kind of breakfast can let us keep waiting 120 minutes?! See the picture. Canned fruits, rotten strawberries, burned bacon. I will never go back again.

Great stuff the staff are wonderful they're treating me very warmly beautiful pool and a beautiful working and a nice big hot tub although we couldn't use the outside pool it look like it will be a blast in the summer overall decent experience.

Let me start by saying I really enjoyed my stay. I would have liked to stay longer because I got there late, slept late in the comfortable bed and then checked out. That being said there were a few things I would improve upon if I were them. 1) I would invest in better industrial toilet paper. What was there was the cheep thin stuff that just didn't feel right. 2) I would have at the very least enough face cloths and towels for the number of guests the room is designed for. And 3) I would look into smaller baggage carts. I had a difficult time getting in and out of the small elevator with the large cart. I didn't get to check out a lot of the amenities, but I would recommend it to a friend. Its modern, stylish and comfortable.

I didn't have a chance to use many of the services available, as I only stayed over after a wedding, but I was impressed with what this hotel had to offer. Indoor and outdoor pool, several conference rooms, a small room with computers off the lobby, as well as Wi-Fi in the rooms, and a good sized dining room with buffet style breakfast. It is also well located, right off the ON 400. I would stay here again, and recommend to friends and family.

The Holiday Inn Barrie Hotel & Conference is situated in an excellent area that is close to amenities, shopping and entertainment. The rooms are somewhat spacious, well maintained and kept clean; although at another close look, the corners looks a little tired. The staff are pleasant, courteous and helpful and seem to be "working hard for their guests". In good weather, I really enjoy the outdoor pool and courtyard space. It's actually one of the nicest I've ever swam in; nicely kept — well groomed and always clean. The breakfast buffet is always nice and the restaurant is spacious and has up-to-date decor. I enjoy my stays at the Holiday Inn Barrie and look forward to returning.

We recently stayed here while attending a multi-day event in nearby Borden. The hotel and rooms were great and clean; slept wonderful every night. Staff were very friendly and the snacks in the lobby every day was a very nice touch to the visitor experience there! I'm giving the place three stars because their bar really held it back, never in my life have I paid nearly $10 for a single pint of domestic (not even import! ) beer! That is beyond absurd pricing and priced so high that the hotel absolutely has to know and realize how much they're ripping off guests who are already paying them to stay there.

I book a room on the 21st through the internet using my Visa debit upon arrival on the 22nd the front desk lady was very polite and accommodating. I walked into the room and I was so happy with the decor and setup I did change rooms to a double Queen and they had no problem doing that. It was a quiet day the room service was great the restaurant food was lovely I would definitely recommend staying at the Four Points Sheraton.

We pre booked a room and found out no specific room is given to pre booking, but provided on a first come first serve basis. Although the rooms were recently renovated, one light switch did not work, no A. C. The windows did not open, we were provided 2 fans with broken buttons, one of which burnt out after approximately 45 minutes of use and could not be replaced because they only had 2 fans in he entire hotel, the smoke detector descended from its wires on the ceiling, there was a hole in the wall where an electrical outlet was to be placed and other minor issues. Im certain this particular room should not have been rented out in its condition and am extremely disappointed.

Had to stay at this hotel for 4 days while moving into our new place. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. Nice room, good breakfast, and a nice pool.

Breakfast was great. The staff were excellent. The alarm clock and radio didn't work. The Wifi and LAN had slower speeds than dial up when the internet didn't freeze up all together.

My stay was wonderful. Beds were comfortable and staff was very helpful.

Drove 2 hours for a wedding with limited cash showed up 8:30 at night for the clerk to tell us we need a deposit which I didn't have at the time nor was it mentioned on the phone when Booking. They turned us down and said there's nothing they can do, wouldn't take the money for the room fees as explained on the phone. Will never suggest this hotel to anyone. First and last time here that's for sure. I guess were driving home to wake up 6 in the morning to drive back up.

First room had "fan noise" coming from wall. The hotel was poorly maintained, the internet was ridiculously slow even at 5 am. The breakfast room wasn't kept clean. As a general observation it looks like the management is cutting corners to make more money (lack of repairs etc) After 2 nights we moved to the Super8 which compared to the Days inn looked like a 5 star.

This place is a great value; it was at least 40 dollars less than it’s next-door neighbor. For a Days Inn it’s very nice, and is similar to many other mid-range business travel hotels. It’s clean, the rooms are reasonably appointed, and apart from a few scuffs, everything looks fine. Wi-Fi worked well, and the bed was super comfortable. The only failing here is the breakfast, which was just a very basic continental (basically some bread and a toaster). I suppose this is how the rate stays low. 6/10.
