Food was good. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Room was okay — notice to write home about, but is close to Algonquin. Would give it 3.5 stars if possible. There were lots of mosquito but that's not the motels fault. They even had a nice swatter on the room for you to use.

I stayed here in early June and the service was good and the staff were friendly and gave me good advice about how I might best spend my time in Algonquin park. My review would be a pleasant one if it wasnt the bizarre situation I found myself in on my 3rd day here. I had completed the booking via Expedia for 3 nights, however on my third day I heard a banging on the door and was asked to leave by the staff as it was time for me to checkout. I informed them that I had the room for three nights but they refused to believe me and had me pack up my things and vacate the room. At the reception I showed the email from Expedia confirming the three night stay and they pointed out they had charged me for only two nights and they could reserve another room for me if I liked. After being kicked out of my room and packing up my things I didn't want to stay there any longer. I politely refused and took my leave expecting to spend the rest of the day in the park and head home a day early. They were OK with this. About an hour after leaving the owner called me and apologized saying she had made a mistake and had now charged my credit card for a third night and reserved a room for me. I reminded her I had spoken to her staff already and was not inclined to stay another night. She told me that was my choice but I was being charged all the same. She said she had no choice because of a supposed commission to be paid to Expedia. She mentioned she was only human and made a mistake.

Pride of ownership is apparent here! This lovely motel is beautifully maintained and the grounds and lakeside setting are beautiful. Clean, comfortable rooms with t. V. And good Wi-Fi reception. Lots of seating near the lake, and bbqs in case you want to cook. The staff is so pleasant and helpful. There is an attached restaurant serving breakfast or dinner. Food is good and tables by the window have a pretty view of the lake. Short drive to Algonquin Park. Even though it's just off the highway, it is quiet and peaceful. I loved sitting on the balcony and listening to the bullfrogs while a morning mist hung over the lake. This was our second stay here and we highly recommend Spring Lake Resort.

Excellent and clean place to stay. Although not a 5 star hotel it makes up for it in other ways. Excellent food in restaurant.

The Room was reasonable clean but the cups and the coffee machine weren't clean. The stuff were friendly and helpful. The price is ok for what you get.

Great spot to grab a bite to eat during the winter. Try the Pork Schnitzel.

Absolutely amazing wonderful staff. Rooms very clean and comfortable. The view and the food to die for. Definitely recommend I will be back.

Beautiful view of the lake! Employees are really friendly and the rooms are in good condition. Recommend going on a canoe ride down and around the lake (there are lots of cute little turtles! ).

Everything was clean, well organized. Had multiple towels and a lot of towels in the washroom. Had extra things in the washrooms that made our life easier.

Restaurant patio has a great view, but you have to be lucky to get a spot outside. Great food and local beer. Restaurant is busy since it's attached to a resort, but the staff were capable and of good humour.

Absolutely a wonderful place! we loved it so much we went back for our honeymoon! Love our waitress Nancy who remembers us everytime! It's our home away from home! We will only stay there when we go up there!

As most everyone says, very friendly owners and staff. The food was terrific as was the location. We enjoyed being able to canoe after a fabulous dinner. The lake is more like a large pond but was still very enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and clean.

Clean, quite place, close to Algonquin Park. The 1br suite is spacious, the beds are comfy. The rooms are a bit dark though. Best of all, this place has its very own lake with sandy beach and kayaks, paddle boats, life jackets and lazy beds at your service.

This is simply a wonderful place to stay if you want to be in a quiet place by the private lake with homemade food available the whole day. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and air conditioner is quite. The owners are the nicest people who will go as far as it takes to make you happy. Try it. You won’t be sorry.

Extremely disappointed as the owner cancelled our reservation due to a mistake of their own. Be aware of this hotel, they may cancel your reservation last minutes and leave you nowhere to stay at the very last minute! very rude attitude towards customers.
