This is a beautiful Hotel. So happy we stayed here. Absolutely stunning. The owner Linda goes above & beyond to accommodate. I highly recommend.

Excellent location, Linda was great and very helpful with directions, restaurant ideas and other needs.

We recently stayed at the Braeside inn and absolutely loved it. The host was so sweet and kind. I would highly recommend staying here. The entire building is so clean and tidy. We will definitely be back. It was within walking distance to restaurants, beautiful view of the ocean… the perfect place… Roxanne and Todd Penney.

Had a lovely overnight stay this past weekend. If you are looking for a reasonable rate with breakfast included and a great location, this is your place! Lovely host and a very short walk to the waterfront for dinner. W MacLeod.

Over charge, can get the same experience from a $75 motel. Coffee in the morning was salty tasting, breakfast wasn't anything special. Room wasn't anything special, definitely not worth the price.

Breakfast could be better. Small room arrangements. Didnt deal like it was the greatest value. However it was a clean room.

When we arrived it was the off season. The decor is dated but it's what gives the place charm and character. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. There was a bit of an odour on the carpet but I'm thinking it just may be the air in that area because when we got outside it was stronger. I would stay there again. If you stay there try to book yourself a room with a seaside view.

Linda offered my daughter and I an exceptional experience at the Braeside Inn. Would recommend if visiting this area.

We were received with open arms by the owner Linda. She made certain that we were very comfortable and prepared us the most enjoyable breakfast by the fireplace on this chilly April morning.

I stayed at the Braeside April 2018. The host Linda and family were great to deal with from arrival to departure. Everything was very clean. Breakfast great. (more food than I needed) I would recommend and stay in this hotel anytime.

Kids a I were walking through the grounds which were covered in 2' of snow on a sunny January afternoon, and the staff told us we were trespassing on private property and killing the grass! Horrible staff. Extremely rude. Don't recommend.

Great location and good breakfast and yummy coffee. Quaint small room but was definitely satisfying for short stay. No issue with hot water reaching 3rd floor. Would definitely stay again.

Very lovely! Very pleasant breakfast/ awesome service with a smile. We had a room on the top floor over looking the water.

We stayed at the Braeside Inn for five nights. We used it as our "home away from home" and visited parts of NS from there. We had a lovely room with all the comforts of home topped off by a lovely view of Pictou Harbour. It's close to the PEI ferry and a lovely beach. Breakfast was great very morning and the owner and staff were all very kind.

Historic, quaint hotel with view of waterfront. New owners very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, laundry facility on site. Flat screen TV and fridge in rooms. Wi-Fi. Nice dining area. Walking distance to downtown amenities. Would stay again.

Very friendly staff. Cute older property. Near downtown. Our mattress was a bit firm for our liking. Where else can you find satellite TV and an old working radio.

The view of the tall ships from my room is unbelievable. The hostess is wonderful, her daughter is very kind and polite. I adore this place. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful old Inn with some very nice antiques. The rooms are old but very classy and very clean. A great place to stay if you are in Pictou NS.

Some great memories here.

Positives: bed comfy, bathroom clean, morning coffee delicious. But the air conditioner was filthy and I would not think of turning it on — requested a simple fan, which was delivered. Then signing the guest book, noted a long cobweb from one piece of furniture to another. Clearly "Housekeeping" is not doing a very good job. The smell from the paper mill was unpleasant to say the least.

We booked from up on Cape Breton after being there for Celtic Colours. What a difference! When we arrived and realized it wasn't a good place for us we were told we were 'locked in'. That meant my husband who has a bad knee was 'locked in' to helping carry stuff up to the second floor. And we were locked in to a place with Tim Horton style toilets that made sure you knew whenever a toilet was flushed on? floors. Plus the room smelled a bit like my mother-in-law's room in the old-age home, a kind of sour smell. In the morning we were awakened by the first risers' noises and eventually got up simply because we couldn't sleep any longer. We passed up on the complimentary breakfast just to be out of there. So be careful when you book in wherever. It can end up as a 'night from hell in Pictou'.

We are so glad we gave our money to this privately owned and operated inn rather than going just outside of town to a chain hotel (ie Holiday Express). Wireless signal was strong with repeaters on each floor, lots of space on the main floor to relax and read, easy walking distance to town. I highly recommend the Thai Hut on the waterfront close to the ship! Enjoy your stay, I'm sure you will.

There's some great architecture, comfortable, good dining (better than "good" but the musac was horrible), the only complaint I had was the smell of the paper mill, but that can't bed helped, eh.
