There is no air-conditioning and the hostel rooms are built like breadboxes with no ventilation whatsoever. It was a terrible stay and I would not wish it on anyone. Unfortunately this is not disclosed in any of their publicity material which is a case of false advertising.
Best things about this place are: location near two city parks, yummy and hot breakfast, price is cheap 120 for three rooms, clean spacious rooms and many bath towels. Challenging things are: no TV in rooms, no air conditioning and reception is very challenging. They gave me an apartment in the Rice building and I had to walk all the way three times or more to reception… one of them to get Wi-Fi access. My suggestion for management is to train their reception more: for example, quickly mention during check in if Wi-Fi is needed to register, where is breakfast and to show key card to get it free and if there are free laundry cards available. They ask me to pay a new laundry card as complimentary ones were out.

Dirty gloves left on counter. Floors not vacuumed. Not enough fans available during heatwave. Mattresses are horribly uncomfortable as well. In general just not appealing at all. I highly suggest spending the extra $20 or $30 to get a real hotel. We went to the Holiday Inn Express for $30 extra and it came with a pool, and air conditioning, king size bed, clean accommodations. Only up side was I got my money refunded to me without any hassle.
