We were at the restaurant for dinner. Which was excellent, the food was great and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and would certainly go there again and recommend this place to any one!

We stayed 2 days and felt like family from the start. They went out of their way to help us and make us feel at home. The chef is a gem. Be sure and stay for dinner and leave room for the bread pudding!

We got here when they were about to shut down for the season. The owner came to the window and waved us in and gave us a room. We were the only ones staying in the Inn. To say they were welcoming is an understatement!

I expected to enjoy my Weekend at the Edge of the Avalon, and it truly exceeded all expectations! Outstanding service from extremely friendly staff who made every effort to ensure every part of our stay went well. We felt thoroughly welcomed by all. It was great reconnecting with old friends as well as making some new friends. Thank you for an amazing weekend!

Service was excellent, very beautiful place to be in Newfoundland. We just loved driving The Irish Loop breathtaking scenery.

It starts out that I couldn't have a greek salad because they are out of cucumber. Be prepared to pay $12.95 for a garden salad. Appitizer, 3 fishcakes for $12.95 suspect they were previously frozen, what appeared to be tasteless potatoe pancakes with a mild fish flavor. Entree, pan fried cod $22.95 with rice pilaf, except they were out of rice. So I had mashed potatoes which were dry and tasteless and one small floret of brocolli. I had to ask if there was any dessert and was given three options which I chose the cheese cake. Guess what? They were out! Lunch total was $68.00

Location was beautiful, service was good and so was the food.

The atmosphere was nice, service was excellent, but the food wasn't up to the quality of several St John's restaurants we have dined at on this trip. Seafood not recommended. Chowder and fish and chips not recommended, but the split pea soup was fantastic!

The staff is warm and welcoming and the rooms are clean. Very nice place to stay while doing the Irish Loop.

Poor restaurant experience! Arrived at 5 pm, only one other table seated when we arrived. We were able to place our order shortly after being seated, after 15 mins the waitress returned to retake our order because she forgot. Part of the reason likely being she was also serving the bar. 30 mins waiting after that and the order arrived, kids meal was grilled cheese and veggie sticks, grilled cheese was burned on one side and veggies were sliced cucumbers and sliced tomatoes. We ordered honey garlic chicken wings which were delivered plain. Difficult to get someones attention to complain about the chicken wings as it seemed only one person working in the dining room and bar. Food was quite expensive and expected a much better dining experience.

Definately the place to go in NL. The Hotel itself is beautiful and clean, and the food is some of the best I've had. While it's on the more expensive side, it is worth the price.

Love to pop by the bar on a weekend afternoon!

Dan and I had a wonderful stay at the Inn. Beautiful, comfortable room for a great night's sleep. The restaurant is absolutely amazing and worth a drive just for the food alone. But best of all are the people who looked after us so well.

Cute spot and great restaurant! The service was absolutely excellent and the food was very good. If you're doing the Irish Loop and looking for a place to eat, this is it. We will definitely be coming back!

I had lunch at the edge of the avalon inn. The chicken wrap and ceasar salad was wonderful.

The only awesome inn in the region! Clean modern rooms and dining area. There is a landscape view of the bay from the dining area. The staff were social and helpful.

Great place to eat! We didn't stay in the inn, but we're lucky to pop in for lunch during our drive around the Irish Loop. Amazing seafood chowder… just like home made. The pan fried cod was super fresh, the fries were so yummy, and the cod tongue was good… a must-try for a newfoundland tourist, but might be our one and only time to sample them. Prices were very reasonable, atmosphere was very friendly.

The restaurant seems a little out of place for a small town, but in a good way. The atmosphere and decor is more like what you would find a big city so it took me a little by surprise. The food is very delicious and varied enough for any budget, everybody is super friendly and the view is amazing. I would highly recommend planning to eat a meal here!

This place makes you feel like you are part of the community. Like being home relaxing with great people oh and the delights from the kitchen will take your taste buds on a adventure while you embrace the majestic views! Really enjoyed our experience definitely coming back! Thanks again.
