St. John's Hotels near Government House

What a gem! I’m so lucky to have found this place and to get to know the owners Cindy and John who were very kind and welcoming. The room and bathroom super comfortable and clean.

You won’t find a more ‘home away from home’ Inn than this one. The warmest of welcome. The coziest of sleeps. Delicious breakfasts. Thank you Cindy & John and Team.

A fantastic experience! And this hotel is truly an experience. A place you can go as your reason to visit St. John’s, rather than a place to stay while visiting st. John's.

Twelve of us stayed in the new section last evening and we enjoyed the hotel a great deal. We all met at Zimmy's for breakfast this morning.

Didn't stay at the hotel — only ate at the restaurant passing by when we stopped for brunch.

I don’t ever leave reviews, but this place absolutely deserves 6/5 score. Food is everything you expect — fresh, tasty, great presentation and a good portion size.

This is a charming antique house that has been turned into a guesthouse. It is a really do-it-yourself operation with no staff. This is okay but not very welcoming.

The Manor is lovely. Room was cozy. Everything was clean and well equipped.

The Roses was a very central location for staying in St. John’s. We stayed in the lower apartment called Harbour Grace.

Beautiful little spot right down town… walkable to so many places. Hosts are very welcoming. Norm was the best breakfast was delicious and the recommendations were awesome.

My flatrock dwelling was the perfect setting for my intimate wedding. The grounds are beautiful, the interior is stunning, and the beds are so comfortable.

This was the most gorgeous hotel. From the interior design, to the breakfast boxes, to the lovely linens and bed, everything was absolutely top notch.

Comfortable. Clean and well run. The staff loves dogs and it showed. Our dog did not want to leave all of her new friends. Convenient location.

Rooms are small, wouldn’t recommend for more than two people. Everything is clean and the beds are comfortable. The view of the harbour is great, it’s fun to watch the ships being loaded.

Just returned from another wonderful stay at The Marriott. Comfortable clean suite. Excellent food. And of course dedicated, professional staff.

What a great place. Very clean. Very quiet and sound proof which is important to me. The rooms were a good size with great views, we stayed on the 7th floor. Service was impeccable.

I stayed for almost a week at the Hilton Garden Inn St. John's while on a business trip.
My room was on the 12th floor and a harbor view.

Was here for a conference. The catered food was excellent. Staff were universally pleasant and helpful and the housekeepers did a really good job keeping my room tidy each day.

Attended a conference at the convention centre and this was a great place to stay. It’s attached to the building through a pathway so you don’t have to go outside.

Close to harbor, amazing scenic views from the room. Slightly expensive but comes with great view. Staff was welcoming at the reception.

The hotel is a little older but they have done an excellent job of refreshing and keeping it at the top standard.
The lobby area is great. Nice seating. Large and has a restaurant.

Walkable to restaurants and pubs, free large parking lot. Clean towels and bedsheets, comfortable bed and pillows. Bathroom has a towel heater which is life saver for cold day.

Ethan was so nice. He blocked off a spot for our small motorhome after we inquired about parking. His pleasant manner and smiling face was a very nice welcome.

We stayed here for 3 nights to visit St. Johns. David was a great host, the house was well appointed, clean and tidy. The kitchen is accessible during the day for fridge use or coffee/tea.

The Balmoral Inn is located near downtown St. John's, within walking distance to Water Street and other local attractions.

My wife and I stayed at the Elizabeth Manor Guest House for two nights June 3 and 4 and could not have been happier.

A comfortable and friendly BnB in a great location! Rob and Kevin were super friendly and helpful in getting local tips of things to do. Breakfast was plentiful and the rooms were comfy.

This place is a gem in a city full of fascinating architecture and cultural distinctions. There is even a thick book on Newfoundland English!

The room we stayed in was nice, clean, minimal and contemporary in style. We liked it but glad we only had one night to stay. You could definitely hear the nightlife on Water Street.

Nina is awesome, hotel is amazing! Suites are extremely clean and the location is, well you can't get any better if you want to be in the heart of beautiful downtown! Family owned hotel suites.

Great place to stay. The location is epic. George Street is within walking distance, and I particularly loved walking to Bannerman Park (5 mins away). The new housekeeper is super awesome and helpful.

Me and my friend stayed on the top floor with the harbour side view room. We spent the weekend for ECMAs. Worth the trip and place was clean. They had laundry too which was pretty nice.

Great location! Super interesting stay full of history. Owner was great and accommodation was easy to book and check in. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for something unique or homey vibe!

This was the most perfect stay I didn't have any issues which is great because it's hard to get ahold of person in charge. The room is very clean.

We stayed 5 days in St John's at the end of a 2 week trip to NL. The apartment was across from the park and quiet, and far enough from downtown that it was quiet but also a 15' walk to Water St
