Staff were amazing and really went above and beyond to be helpful when we arrived wet and cold from a hiking trip. Room and shared bathroom were very clean, and our floor was very quiet. It is not fancy, but if that is not an issue I would highly recommend staying here.

Rooms are clean and staff were welcoming. Would recommend for short term travellers.

Dorm rooms used for guests but fairly spacious. Shared bathroom might not be for everyone but doable. Very clean rooms and amazing staff. Downside are the short beds (I'm 6'3") and the fact that no sockets are near the bed, in case you want to charge your phone overnight and still have it nearby.

I was without a light in my room for 2 days even after informing them several times nothing was done about it.

It's a valuable place to stay as a tourist and especially great for those who want to explore the university.

The only good thing is the price. Very cheap accommodation in St. John's which is hard to find in the summer. Beds were uncomfortable, rooms weren't very clean, parking was extra $$, breakfast was just stale muffins and toast etc. Didn't have high expectations as this is a university of course, but stayed at the university in Halifax and it was much better.

Summer accommodation is clean, quiet and very cheap (comparatively). The downside of being so cheap is its very basic. Rooms bare, no sink and no kettle… bizarrely there was a fully equipped kitchen but not a single plate, cup, or cutlery… let alone a pan. If you want to self cater, come prepared. I'd you stay and are going onto the airport, take the bus… bargain at $2.25.

First of all, they're known for their Folklore department, not Business or Science. If you go to this school with no issues that need to be fixed, I'm sure it's tolerable, but if you have a problem or need something taken care of, go elsewhere. Limiting the number of students who can register for a course they need to get their degree to only a 10/15 student capacity, and then refusing to sign people into the class, isn't what should be happening. Not to mention they keep taking away more and more parking lots, making the school pretty inaccessible considering the city's awful public transportation system. There is a reason why this school is so cheap.

Overall excellent, people and faculty very helpful. Studying in its Graduate school is really an experience worthy in one's life. But the city is dull with rustic life, expensive, and has harsh weather. Always come with family.

We attended the open mike night on a Wednesday with our daughter who is studying there. All the students we spoke to were very polite and a credit to the university. We had a great time. Thank you.

Great university and equally great tuition prices! The University has a large selection of programs and faculties. Essentially, there's something for everyone.

Very very nice campus… Awesome ppl awesome teachers. Lowest tuition fees from all over Canada. What else do u need.
