Great new hotel in BC Place.

Fantastic design, professional services, and a comfortable bed to match. The color palette is filled with warm colors, leather, wood, bronze (see pictures). All these fitted into a post industrial style with bare ceilings and exposed concrete columns. I've read some reviews that critic the lack of ceiling finish. On the contrary I thought the gray matches this palette quite well — if you don't dig this kind of designs, this place is not for you. There are however, "room" for improvements. This building is essentially the casino, and with that you don't get a traditional lobby. Driving in for the first time can be a little confusing. Lobby sits on the sixth floor and is staffed with a welcoming team, but the parking elevator we found only takes you to the first floor. This is, of course, limited by hardware that are available to this location. The soft products are great but like a couple of other reviews mentioned, rooms are prepared with only one set of sleepers, one bath robe. In today's hotel world either you get none, or you should prepare the room according to the guest information that booked the room. Overall it's still s fanatic experience. I'm definitely coming back.

The staff of this hotel are incredibly friendly and accomodating, the atmosphere of the rooms, lobby, and bar are all excellent. However it does have a few issues. My main one is that the bar has incredibly loud music playing that you can hear even through earplugs, and on Thursdays it goes on until 1, even worse on Saturday where you can't sleep until the bar closes at 3 in the morning. Definitely not a place I'd recommend staying if you're in the city to work (as I was), but if you want the nightlife experience you'll have a great time.

According to Tourism Management this hotels should be rating between 2 1/2 star since they don’t have all toiletries… see the attached pictures. They missed toothbrushes and toothpaste. Really weird the room ceiling. The location is great staff very friendly but very disappointed because such good brand and there is not refrigerator in the room and not amenities. Can’t believe so expensive hotel there aren’t such essentials things. I’m staying in room 875 and really small. Too much snacks or alcohol in the room. If you come with someone else you need ask for the second pair of slipper or bathrobe since come in the room with one pair or one bathrobe. I thought Douglas is a good brand of Marriott at the end I realized is the cheap brand. You can see my pictures. You better choose JW Marriott or other hotels since there are many hotel close with spacious room, refrigerator and amenities. If you are Gold member you can use JW Marriott Lounge located in Conference floor (I attach some pictures of the lounge)

Location is downtown so very easy to get around! The staff are extremely nice and the hotel is clean. The bathrooms are perfect and I loved my stay! Everything is very fancy and classy and it was the best hotel in Vancouver in my opinion. It is combined with the Parq so their facilities can be used with your hotel card too.

It was a very disappointing stay. When you charge $500CAD/night, it's shocking there isn't free Wi-Fi for guests, no refrigerator in room and toothbrush & shaving kit are on request. It was a disappointing experience also because we were told our room would be ready by 4pm the check in time, and it wasn't. The receptionist who greeted us wasn't that apologetic and didn't give us much instructions or information of what I should do. I needed to proactive ask to get information I needed. With the amount being charged for so called a high quality hotel, I am disappointed with how things were promised but not delivered and have caused inconvenience for my partner and I. I was looking forward to this stay but ended up being very disappointed and regret the money I paid to have this one day getaway. I would've had a more enjoyable time staying at home and using that $500 for something else. After this experience, I will not come back to this hotel and would definitely not recommend anyone to pay this amount to stay here. I'm only giving it 3 stars/5 because it was a fairly new hotel and the room I was given was spacious. I liked the fresh and comfortable design and modern decoration of the hotel but the unfinished cement ceiling in the bedroom and pillar ruined it. We thought it was a glitch in our room but then was told by guest services that it was an intentional part of the design with all rooms.

· June 24, 2018 I had a really enjoyable stay at this property. Get the rate with the $100 resort credit and you can use that in the varied food and beverage outlets. The service in all areas including telephone service agents was attentive and not intrusive — outstanding really. The room was tastefully minimal with nice lighting touches and floor-to-ceiling glass window (with a drop down blind) that separates the living area and the shower — clever. The washroom in the room is very nice! The soap and body cream products in the room are from local Vancouver company Aesop and are wonderful! It's an interesting location off the downtown core but close enough to walk. I'd stay here again. I give it 4+ Stars. By the way, I almost didn't stay when I saw a Casino was involved due to noise and foot traffic. However, the casino was hardly noticeable as they did a good job designing it to be far enough away from main areas that it was not distracting and/loud.

I stayed at The Douglas Autograph Collection with my baby girl and my husband for a quick Post Father’s Day ‘weekend’ escaped from our home. The staff goes above and beyond.
They took excellent care of us, making sure we always had anything we needed. I have never met a friendlier and more efficient hotel staff.

We also loved the bathroom and the smell of Aesops! We had dinner at honey SALT… and then we had brekky, IRD. Great food; it was all delish! awesome service. Thank you so much! Until next time!

Stayed 3 nights. Being in the hospitality business I was so amazed with the incredible service. The ladies at the front desk were so wonderful and inviting. The rooms were treat. Room service was perfect. And the restaurants onsite are amazing. They made an very exciting and memorable experience for me and my fiancee.

I was sooo amazed how they decorate, The lobby alone the information was unique that log was fantasticly made all the sorroundings as well good job.

What a hotel! Love the decor and dark wood. We were staying at the JW Marriott next door but will be staying at the Douglass next time. Great staff. Especially Randy from the door. Ran into him in the elevator and he took the time to show us one of the hotel rooms and chat with us. Stunning rooms! Also Mike is the lounge just off the front desk. Very nice guy and we enjoyed our drinks at the bar. Thank you for a great time and look forward to staying with you soon.
