So I don't use Facebook much but I need to get this out to people on how I was just treated at a hotel in Vancouver. Myself and my 2 teenage kids drove a 1000 km for my mom's celebration of life she passed in October and we were just able to have it due to covid. I booked a room for us at the atrium Inn on Hastings and Renfrew. I don't have a credit card booked online as I know they don't use debit cards for security deposits and have used cash on a few occasions for this. They took my $200 no problem stating it's a one time thing. I wanted to book an extra day as has been very hactic and would like to see a few more freinds. I asked for an extra day and apparently the hotel was booked. The next day I wanted to see if I could be put on a list for any cancelations. There was now a room available and I was gonna take it however because I don't have a credit card the desk clerk told me this section requires credit card and proceeded to point to their policy sign regarding security deposits. I told her that they have my $200 which they can hold for the extra day. Because it was a one time thing this was not going to happen, I stated we are not leaving we just want to have an extra day, this is not going to happen. The clerk then told me you could probably get another hotel.

Well! It’s almost 2 months still didn’t get my deposit back yet, the manager and even supervisor contacted me and promised money will deposit back to my credit card in the next few business days but again promises after promises still nothing happen 😡😡😡

I would not recommend this hotel and if I could give a negative star rating, I would. After making a reservation for my family of 4 several months in advance for the VIP Suite, I rec'd an email stating that I could upgrade to a better room. This email prompted me to call the hotel directly seeing as I had the best room in the hotel reserved. I asked about my reservation and was told that I was booked into a executive king room and that was what I reserved, which was not true. After a lengthy discussion I was told the manager would call me after the weekend to speak with me. When she called me we agreed upon us getting the room I originally reserved. My understanding was from the manager was that we were booked into the VIP suite but after arriving at the hotel we discovered that instead we were booked into the Jr. Suite. The Jr. Suite consisted of a king bed and a small pop-out sofa bed, too small for both of my children, my wife and I. We checked in and I went to the front desk to inform them that the room was not the one I had reserved, the onsite manager said that they never rent the VIP suite, to which I said well I booked it before. I asked if anyone was staying in the VIP suite and was told yes and that if I did not like her answer then we could leave with a full refund. Where do you think you are going to find a hotel room on a Friday night in Vancouver at last minute with the PNE open? We decided to stay until I could secure other accommodations.

I enjoyed my self the price was excellent and the service was very good also.

They over charged me $200 and won't return it. They locked up 3 transactions on my credit card and then proceeded to take another $880. I'm fighting to get my money back. I will never ever recommend this hotel.

Shout out to Very friendly staff, clean rooms, crazy fast Wi-Fi, and probably the best continental breakfast I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Well appointed though older hotel. The namesake atrium is beautifully put together and the free hot breakfast is perfectly serviceable. Try to get a room not facing Hastings, as the street can be quite noisy. Parking in under-hotel garage included with room. Great location if you are looking to do anything involving Playland and/or the PNE Fair — it's an easy walk!

Room spacious and clean but without refrigerator; City centre accessible by public transport in half an hour, the hotel's free shuttle is available for one-way trip; the street on which the hotel is located is very busy and, therefore, noisy; very good breakfast.
Although the room had already been paid for months, we were required a security deposit (which is common in Canada) which, due to a credit card problem, we could only pay in euros. They accepted ill-willingly and for one night, coming to deactivate the key the next day; only after our outburst for unjustified treatment in a time of need, the situation suddenly resolved.
Other than that, most of the staff at the front desk were downright friendly and helpful.

First impression of the Atrium Inn wasn't too favorable, the outside looked very ghetto. But don't let it deceive you! The inside is well maintained and clean. There was a bar area with coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave in our room. Shower temperature had a good range and pressure was to my satisfaction.

Very disappointing. This is a one or two star hotel. Dated decor, wall paper coming off bathroom wall. Breakfast with dried fake eggs from a box. View of a concrete wall 6 feet from room. Can't possibly risk walking the neighborhood. Construction next door. Noisy AC. Manager living in cloud cuckoo land. Oh and $470CAN per night. Ridiculous!

This is a great bang for your buck location and close to the center of all amenities. Food, service, location, and price all come together right here! Free secure parking too! The accommodations maybe in need of updating, but for the price it’s still above a local best western or motel 6. I can imagine it was a high end hotel in its prime. I would stay here again, and make recommendations.

Front desk staff very nice! Room is nice. Clean. Lovely lobby. Good location. Definitely recommend!

Very clean rooms. Only missing a fridge in the rooms. Very friendly staff from Front Desk thru to the cleaning staff. Was really nice to hear all staff thanking you for choosing the hotel for our stay Lobby was very inviting and welcomed you. Terrific over the top complimentary breakfast. Free parking that was very secure. Enjoyable stay.

Customer service is awful. Front desk supervisor was very rude and unhelpful. The trainee was very nice however. Was quoted a different price on the phone, and upon arrival I was told the price would be double the quote. Immediately re booked at a different nicer hotel within 10 minutes, for half the price. Would never recommend anyone to go here.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. Not only it's located in the ghetto area, but it's customer service is awful as well. I had to wait ten minutes in front of the place since some no brain guests or affiliates of hotel totally blocked the entrance to the parking lot. Front desk didn't do anything but watching these crowd blocked the whole way.

A very nice hotel but considering its located so close to the dirty area of east hastings (a large amount of homelessness and drug addiction), and the size of rooms it is over priced. I have stayed in many hotels in Vancouver and around Canada and USA where I paid half the nightly rate and got a bigger room with more amenities in nice areas. Overall though the breakfast is good, the staff are very friendly, free parking is wonderful and is a good place to stay. I just feel rates are twice the value.

This place is quite comfortable and nice. For the price I rate I rate it overall EXCELLENT! comfy beds and room, tasty hot full breakfast. 1 block to Starbucks and small supermarket/ drugstore. Room on Street side a bit noisy but ear plugs allowed me to sleep great. Decent location for downtown & restaurants.

First of all it's an old hotel. Roof had black smoke marks on it and rooms had rotten smell in them. There was no fridge ($15 per night if you want one), drawers wouldn't close properly. Two stars are for customer service as they moved us to differnt room which had better beds.

Better than we expected. Cheaper than anywhere else in city proper, comfy beds and decent room. Rooms on Hastings side are loud with the traffic, ask for other side. Secure parking underground. Good breakfast. Excellent value!

Room was clean, beds were comfy, had a nice little bar attached and the continental breakfast was decent. Good location as there is a gas station across the street along with a few restaurants. PNE is just down the street.

More accommodations at your standard budget motel. Only 1 power outlet. Old furnishings. Very small stiff beds. Would never recommend. Was clean and no problems with the staff at least. Update: The toilet ran for about 20 min after every flush. Very annoying when trying to sleep. The wall were by far the thinest I have ever experienced. Could easily hear conversations from people walking on the street 2 stories below. The curtains had holes in them. The Wi-Fi password worked for about 8 hours before stopping. Parking was provided.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very noisy those that overlook the main street, by night traffic. The worst thing is that to go to the center you have to cross an area occupied by many homeless who sleep in the street. Taxis from the hotel run side streets to not show this aspect to tourists.

It is not located in the resort but with car you can go downtown easily. The room is clean and the maids are friendly. The free breakfast has many choices.

Not a bad place for not a bad price either. Decent location, with underground parking. Friendly staff, and not a ratty looking place either. I was impressed.

Staff was great across our stay. They made check in quick and osu less for my group including a last minute room change due to needing another bed. Staff checked in a short while after settling in of there was anything we needed brought to our room. Included breakfast in the morning was great :) only complaint is that some of the walls looked like they needed a bit of repair but nothing major.

Clean and comfortable hotel. Bit dated inside. They seemed to have been doing a bit of a revamp program at the time. First impression of the room is that it's very long with two seater sofa, bed and study area all spaced out along the room. Front desk staff were friendly. One reason why I picked this place is free parking which is located underground the hotel. Lot of Vancouver hotels charge for parking.

Great location. Excellent proximity to the coloseum. Walking to restaurants. Clean rooms. Great breakfast. Will be back.

Thank you for fixing the problem. We stayed on the 2nd floor. The bar below us was loud right through till closing. I booked my room on their online website. I booked for 2 nights, confirmed it with the staff, and then was charged for 3 nights. I am now being told that they cannot be held accountable for the 3rd night charge because I booked online.

Very polite staff, very clean, safe, yet would not appear so from the outside. Parking garage is gated for safety, but could use some ventilation in the lower garage areas. Fairly close 15-20 to most hipster areas. Would stay again.

The staff is great. The heater didn't work in our room they brought a space heater let's see if that works though it's cold up here in Canada no doubt. Minimum high end comfort btw but good for the money. I might revise after the heater episode.

Decent enough place to crash for a night. I was impressed by how friendly and helpful all the front desk staff were.

The rooms are clean, spacious and nice, but the neighborhood where this doesn't help much, and the building this old.

It's located near highway 1 crossing over into North Vancouver and is about a 15 minute drive to Vancouver. I give it four stars because they don't try to over represent themselves. The rooms are dated but clean and comfortable and the staff are very friendly. There's also underground parking. Their nightly rate is reasonable considering it is Vancouver.

Everything was good. Have a large lifted truck and they were able to fit us in the underground parking. Secure building and regular continental breakfast. The only bad part was at check out, I'm a smoker and cleaned my purse out in the garbage had some butts in the garbage that were in my pocket cause I didn't wanna throw them on the ground and got accused of smoking in the room. After they rook numerous trips upstairs and checked the room out multiple times they realized we didn't smoke in there, but that was the only downfall of our stay. Would stay again.

Good clean room. Very helpful staff. Can't complain about the breakfast. The air con was cold enough just a bit noisy. If you are at the front of the hotel there's a bit traffic noise that could Waken you at night so ask for a room at the rear. Bus stop at the front door for down town perfect. So overall I will give threes hotel a 4 only due to the noise. Would use again.

If you like waking up sweating in your room, then you should stay here. The forced air is lukewarm at best is my major complaint. Otherwise I have no more. Staff was friendly. Good location. Close to many breweries. Wish they didn't cover up the atrium on each floor. That is their namesake and should be highlighted.

We wanted to spend two days and Atrium had perfect location for that. So we did not think for two long. The hotel does not look impressive from the outside. However, it's beautiful inside. The lobby is very welcoming. We had a regular room. It was fine. Bathroom was nice and big. Bed was comfortable. The ceiling had spots that needed to be taken care of as well as the shower head.

The staff are outstanding (with one exception, a shuttle driver who was actually quite rude and almost obnoxious). The other driver, Jeff was great! Gave us information about the area and had such a great attitude. All the desk staff were very helpful and pleasant. Our room the first night was fine, except that the glass sliding door wouldn't close tightly and the room faced the street, making the outside noise too easily heard. The next day we asked to be moved if there was an available room in the back. They graciously accommodated us, making our second night stay very good. The hotel is a ways from downtown and the gas lamp district, but the public transportation is easy to use and runs very late with a stop just across from the hotel. The staff were very helpful in this regard also. Breakfast was pretty good, with quite a bit of variety — eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, cereal, yogurt, bagels, juice etc.

Comfortable, polite staff. Our room was clean and refreshing to be in. We felt safe because one cannot use the elevator nor the parking area without swiping your room key! Loved that! It meant to say that no one can just use the premises if he or she is is not booked in the hotel. Really loved that! Met some Filipino workers and they were just accommodating! You feel the Filipino hospitality! Kudos to all. Thank you to the person who always cleaned our room and provided us with fresh bed and towels! Definitely a wonderful place to stay in! We are from San Francisco and our first visit to Vancouver is awesome! Thank you! From David and Chari Brodsky. Keep up the good work!

The staff are very helpful and will do the utmost to help but the location is absolutely far from everything and the rooms are bad both as furnishings and as liveability.

A little out of the way. The carpet would need a nice wash, at first impression it looked dirty.

The front staff was wonderful. They were very helpful in giving us directions to places. The room was clean and decent. Laundry facilities were clean and in good order. Enjoyed the food at the pub, excellent staff there also. We had a room on the fourth floor in the back and it was quiet. Appreciated the free underground secured parking with access to the hotel from the parking only with a room key. We forgot an item there and did not realize it until we were back in the states. They are shipping it to us. That's customer service!

Clean room and friendly staff. Absolutely atrocious internet connection. All I needed was a roof over my head and an internet connection and during my stay I only got one of those things. It started with front desk giving me the wrong Wi-Fi password and ended with me running the internet speed test and having the connection time out twice before eventually getting an F grade. Whatever they advertise their internet to be, it definitely is not high speed. All in all, a nice place to stay for technophobes.

Decent hotel, pretty basic, nothing too fancy. Very clean. Minimal continental breakfast. Complimentary underground parking. Location is a bit far from downtown, if you are mostly looking to walk everywhere, its not super convenient. It is out of the major traffic routes though. I found it a bit pricey for all things considered.

First off I want to say the bartenders Ryan and Sam over at the Pressbox Pub are absolutely phenomenal. It's too bad they are leaving! The hotel it's self is fine. The room was nice, the bed was soft, I wish they had hair conditioner, and the walls are thin, but overall the room it's self was perfectly fine. I issues were that the continental breakfast was absolutely horrible. Like really it was not very good at all. And they may have over charged me, though we are still waiting to see what the bank has to say.

Me and my girlfriend got a business room with 1 queen size bed for $90USD. It is a clean no frills hotel. We had a flat-screen in our room. The sheets and room where very very clean. Lighting is a little weak, but no big deal.

Excellent hotel at low price. Comfortable, spacious rooms, but it's a good distance from downtown Vancouver. Convenient parking.

The hotel has a nice entrance and is located near the high way and across from the fair. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable.

Favorite place to stay when I regularly visit vancouver… went to book a room for my new years eve event and family events and I can only book for 3 days insted of one …? wtf… why would I want to book 3 nights when my arrangements are for only one … to bad I have to do my bissness at the accent in … not happy at all.

A hotel quality/price is quite acceptable, the Wi-Fi of the hotel very good. Breakfast a little chaotic but the staff very correct.

Angelica at front desk was very helpful, easy to get to the underground parking.

Very very very very nice hotel with very friendly staff. Highly recommend. Only a few minor things to say: rooms cards never worked great, AC was broken, but they switched our rooms, maintenance or security guy that helped us was very nice. Nice balconies, nice views. They charge extra for the frig, but then gave it to us for free. No microwave, unless you pay extra. Water pressure in shower is poor. Breakfast is basic but good enough and free. Electronics on the exercise equipment didn't work. Area is very nice, great places to eat just across the street in the plaza. Lots and lots of underground parking for no extra charge. Carpet could be cleaner and better. In the middle of the hotel is a perfect spot for a pool, but you won't find one, too bad. You will enjoy your stay.

Meh… ok. Nice place. Clean and secure. Dont ask and dont accept a balcony room. They over look a busy street and the windows are not sound proof. Also there's no way to cover the windows so there is always light pouring into the room.

Really nice kind of disappointing breakfast though and it looks like they filled In the indoor pool over nice place to stay.
